Story
Ivan is a gorgeous, ~3 year old, 65lb boy. We think he's a Lab / Carolina Dog mix based on his features. Regardless of breed, he’s a loyal guy looking for his forever human(s). Housetrained: Yes!Cratetrained: Yes!Neutered: Yes!Up to date on shots: Yes!Key fact: Ivan LOVES people. He adores head scratches and sitting near you.Favorite indoor activity: bones, bones, bones!!Favorite outdoor activity: zooming in the yard or helping my foster mom with gardeningDogs: Ivan would like to be your one and only Cats: Ivan thinks they are food, so no cats! When you're home, he loves to be with you and would happily keep you company while you do cook, watch tv, read, garden, or soak up the sun. He is also content chewing a bone or enjoying a kong. He has also stepped up his napping game. If you have a sectional, Ivan loves to snooze on the chaise while you snooze on the main part of the couch. Given his size and his personality, we are requiring a single family home with a fenced in yard or a home that would provide him with space to run! Older kids would be fine for Ivan. He can get excited and sometimes jump - please be willing to continue his training with this - so we feel best if his home doesn't have younger children or those unstable on their feet.  He is working on knowing that sitting calm = happy humans and/or treatos. Ivan is a boy with a heart of gold who will love you beyond measure. He may win you over when he leans into you, somehow both giving and requesting love. He deserves someone who will be patient with him. And give lots of pets and head kisses, which are his favorite. If you think this could be you, please apply for him today. Story
Daisy’s Christmas Dream: A Patient Heart & a Forever Home  Daisy’s Christmas dream is to finally feel safe, loved, and understood in a home of her own. This 5 1/2 month-old, 20lb Beagle mix puppy is a gentle, sweet soul who may be shy at first, but she has so much love to give once she feels comfortable. While new people, especially men can be scary for her initially, Daisy blossoms with time and trust. When she bonds with you, she becomes a true velcro dog, happiest curled up beside you or following you from room to room. Her affectionate nature really shines once she knows she’s safe. Daisy adores other dogs and gains so much confidence from them. She must have a friendly, confident dog in her forever home to help her continue coming out of her shell. She would do best with a female adopter, a calm household, and no young children. She is crate trained, working hard on potty training (still has occasional accidents), and already knows some basic commands. Daisy is eager to learn and will thrive with an adopter who is patient and committed to continuing her training. She also needs someone home more often, as she is actively working through mild separation anxiety and does best with routine and reassurance. Like any puppy, she benefits from chew toys, enrichment, and routine. Daisy is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and ready to start her next chapter. Beneath her timid exterior is a loving, loyal puppy just waiting for the right person to believe in her. Story
Meet Mack, a 40 lb fluff ball Akita mix, estimated to be 1-2 years old, who loves to plop on your lap anytime you sit down! If he slides off, no matter, he’ll show his belly and put his paw on your hand to say thanks for the rubs. Doggie kisses are plentiful from this affectionate boy, and he wants to be in on the action at all times. A loyal and curious companion, Mack is treat-motivated and has mastered a few commands in a short time; sit, paw, & lay down.  He has such a loving demeanor, and did I mention he’s a lap dog? To any lap…grown ups, teens, and kids. If he fits, he sits. Just kidding, even if he doesn’t fit, he’ll still try to sit! Playful yet gentle, he’s easily redirected if you think he’s about to get into some mischief. Outside, Mack will pick up every stick he sees and sniff out all of the things. Tracking scents is a hobby and so he may benefit from a fenced in yard.   Mack sleeps through the night in his crate. During the day, you may need to encourage him to take a break from playtime in his crate if his zoomies get too crazy. Is quite entertained by new toys; stuffies are his favorite, but make sure they are strong stuffies that can handle a bit of flinging!  He’s happy and excited to meet new people because that means more laps to sit on and more kisses to give! Will you consider being a permanent lap for Mack to settle on? ##2616769##

Story
Meet Pepper! Pepper is a 25 pound, 7 month old mixed breed pupper!  Pepper is a mildly spicy, curious yet cautious cutie! She will bark at you upon meeting but generally approves of you if given a few minutes to sniff you out and perhaps with a treat to sweeten the deal. Pepper is a girl that thrives on connection and playtime - both with other dogs and with humans. Pepper is accustomed to eating, napping, and sleeping overnight in her crate. She is also becoming house trained with a routine schedule. Little Miss Pepper Pants is very treat-motivated and eager to learn, making training a fun bonding experience. She is intimiated when meeting new dogs and will be a bit loud (obnoxious!) in the first few minutes. Once she feels she's communicated effectively, she wants to play.  Like with all puppies, she will want someone who is prepared to continue typical puppy training so she can be the best girl she can be - things like leash-walking, general behavior, etc will be necessary to ensure long term success. She is fine with other dogs or kids. She's not met any cats but would likely be ok with them if the adopter is willing to be patient and go with slow intros. Pepper is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccinations. She will be able to go to her forever home on or after Jan 4, 2026. ##2619032##

Story
Hello everyone! Meet Belle, a sweet senior looking for a new home after her senior owner could no longer care for the pets in the family.   Belle turned 15 years young in October. She looks like a little Westie mix due to her ears!   When she is out and about, everyone tells her how cute she is.  Belle is visually impaired  but that doesn't stop her one bit!  She loves to explore the house and when she gets tired, she finds a comfy bed or blanket and plops down for a nap.  Belle loves to sniff so her favorite place is outside with her nose in the grass. She will walk short distances and she loves a good stroller ride!  Belle is working on her potty habits. She is usually good if taken out every two hours. She spends her alone time in a crate and keeps it clean most of the time. The only time she barks in it is  in the morning when she has to go outside!   A future adopter will have to be diligent so you can set her up for potty success!  A one-story home would be best for Belle’s safety, but her foster home is two-story and she has been safe with gates and a closed basement door.  A fenced-in yard would be best for her love of the outdoors, but is not a necessity.  Someone home more often would be needed to continue with her potty training.  We are looking for someone with a BIG heart to add Belle to your home.  Yes, she is a visually imparied senior but she is so sweet and deserves a great home to live out her senior years!  ##2352180##

Story
Meet Autumn — a bright, sensitive, and spirited 30-lb terrier mix looking for her perfect match! Autumn is about a year old and was found as a stray, so life hasn’t always been easy for her. But underneath that tough start is a wonderfully sweet girl who bonds deeply once she feels safe. She thrives in a calm, low-traffic environment and is looking for an adult-only home where she can relax and continue to blossom. This smart little terrier has great house manners — she’s very crate trained and reliably potty trained. She can be quite vocal (think expressive barking and whining), so she’ll do best with someone who doesn’t mind a chatty companion. Autumn is generally dog-friendly and loves to play, but she can be food-aggressive and occasionally possessive of certain items. Because of this, her ideal home would include a submissive, easygoing dog and an adopter who can supervise interactions around food and high-value items. With these boundaries in place, she does beautifully. Out on walks, she has made great progress and is no longer reactive, making her an enjoyable walking buddy. True to her terrier roots, Autumn is bold, curious, independent, and full of personality. With continued structure, patience, and positive reinforcement, she has so much potential to grow into an even more confident and well-balanced dog. Autumn may take some time to settle in, but once she trusts you, she becomes a complete sweetheart. She’s waiting for someone who will give her the stability, kindness, and understanding she deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal, quirky, intelligent companion — Autumn might be your girl. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and available for adoption now through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA KL# 16182.  ##2533361##
