Story
Meet Randy!  Randy has been seeking his forever home for a long time!  Randy was brought into foster as a skinny stray and has made tremendous strides since being placed in foster care.  Randy has put on weight and begun to enjoy the comforts of having a home.  Although Randy is approximately 12 years young, he still has a lot of spunk left in him and really enjoys going for walks and playing in the yard.  Randy does have some arthritis as does any pup his age so he does need minimal steps but has gotten a lot stronger over the last months.  Randy is house broken and doesn't need to be crated when left at home. Good with dogs and cats older children preferred!  Great couch potato!  If Randy sounds like your guy apply today   ##1828946##

Story
Meet Diesel, the sweetest Pitt mix looking for a soft place to land for the rest of his life. Diesel is thought to be 6. We don't know much about him. He was found starved and in bad shape. He's been gaining great weight at his foster house! and loves to eat He was shot in the leg and walks with a limp, which he definitely plays up for new people or when he wants something. His skin was in rough shape because he was so malnurished but it's getting better with medicated shampoo and a good diet. Diesel is a sweetheart. He loves his crate and goes there when he needs a break. He's house broken. He's been through a lot and prefers to snuggle and lay around instead of running and playing all day. He is dog selective and need to be in a home without other dogs. And is happiest that way as well!  ##1996738##

Story
Introducing Cricket!! Cricket is an approximately 2 year-old petite Plott Hound mix weighing in at 38 pounds. Cricket spent over a year in an outdoor shelter, but now has a new leash on life living outside those walls with her foster family. When she first got out of the shelter, she was a scared pup—hiding behind the couch and under the table, not sure what to think of her new digs. Fast forward to today and she is as spunky as ever, zipping around the house with her fur and human siblings and playing with ALL of the toys. There is no favorite toy of hers—they all are! To sum up Cricket’s personality—she is spunky, goofy, playful, and energetic. She gets along well with all of her fur siblings as well as human siblings. We are not sure how she will do with cats as her foster home does not have any. Cricket is a very smart girl and is very food motivated. She is doing great on a leash and is house and crate trained. She is learning tricks like to sit and give paw. Cricket would thrive in a home with a secure, fenced in yard where she can run and stretch her long legs. We would highly recommend her new home have another dog to continue help her gain confidence in being an inside dog. Cricket is up to date on all required vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Cricket will be available for adoption with Paws Across Pittsburgh on or after 3/10/2024. KL# 16182 ##1991589##

Story
Hi there! My name is Luna but my foster mom calls me bunny-bear. She says I am soft and snuggly like a teddy bear and bouncy like a bunny. She also said that maybe I was part mountain goat after she saw me climb a ladder. I think she is just confused because I am pretty sure I am a dog.”   At one year old, Luna still has lots of puppy energy and will need help learning how to be a well behaved dog. She is smart and eager to please and will learn quickly. Luna is almost completely house trained and sleeps quietly in her crate all night long. She is still working on being calm in her crate when she’s alone during the day. Luna loves to run and play with her foster humans but can be too jumpy with the little ones so she would do best in a home with older kids. With a slow introduction, she would do great with another dog who enjoys her rough and tumble play style. Luna is an athletic pup and would make a great hiking partner and might enjoy agility training. After playing and adventuring, she wants nothing more than to snuggle up with her humans for lots of love.    If you think Luna might be a good fit for your family, you can fill out an adoption application at pawsacrosspittsburgh.com. Story
Look at Miss Kira! This beautiful girl is approaching her 1st birthday and would love to find her forever family whose she's been patiently waiting for.  Kira came to us when she was found abandoned outside in her crate on New Years. Did this crush her fearless, loving, and trusting deamenor? No! Kira loves all people and gets along well with other dogs. Kira does coexist with cats but is prone to chase without redirection.  Kira does require a fenced in yard and a home with older children. Kira would love to belong to an active, dog savvy family that can provide her with the physical and mental stimulation she needs.  Kira is doing great with her crate and house training.  If you're interested in giving this beautiful, loving dog her happy ending, please apply today! Story
Thumper is looking for an active adopter that would enjoy hiking/running or someone to take long walks with. While he walks like a dream on a leash, his true joy is found in the freedom of a fenced yard, where he can romp and play to his heart's content.    Thumper is a quick learner and food motivated, which makes training a breeze. He’s mastered commands like sit and give paw with ease.    He’s also very loyal and will want to spend time with his family on the couch for some snuggle time.    While Thumper adores people of all ages, his high energy level may be better suited for older kids/adults.    If you're searching for a spirited sidekick to join you on life's journey, Thumper is ready and waiting to wiggle his way into your heart! Thumper is available for adoption now.  Paws Across Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA 15144. KL#16182 ##1987759##
