Story
Mojo was found as a stray and we made every effort to find his owners but to no avail. He is an Aussie mix and of course with the breed comes high activity. I will say that he loves his down time though! He is NOT an apartment dog. He needs a good sized fenced yard. He is not great in a crowd of dogs but will do well with a sister or brother to play with. He hasn't been tested with cats so we don't know about that. The vet believes his age to be about 6 years. He's neutered, vaccinated, crate trained and heart worm negative. He is more than ready for his forever home! ADOPTION FEE $400 PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION!

Story
This precious girl came from one of the worst hoarding situations that we have ever dealt with. there were over 100 dogs on the property, none of them spayed or neutered. Finally, the authorities went in and they managed to get ALL of the dogs out of there. Filthy dirty situation, sick puppies, you name it. We choose to take Blossom home to our rescue because her eyes were begging us for love and attention. She was very pregnant and two weeks after arriving, she gave birth to 7 heathy puppies! Every single puppy was different, every singe puppy had a different daddy! We think that Blossom had never been paid any attention to because she was so shy. Once we weaned her babies we took her out of the nursery and into the house where she just blossomed! That's how she got her name! Her puppies have long since been adopted and now it's her turn. We actually did a DNA on her and it came back with 4 different breeds, which we kind of figured from the beginning. Australian Cattle Dog, Labrador Retriever, Pit Bull, Boxer. Yes, she is truly a "Mutt!: She is extremely smart and will do anything for a treat. I want her to have a nice fenced yard with lots of room to run. Cattle dogs are working dogs and they need lots of exercise! She is spayed, crate trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped and house broken, truly a gem! Ready for immediate transport. ADOPTION FEE $400 PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION!

Story
Chloe ended up at a high kill shelter pregnant, her owners no longer wanted her. A shelter is no place for a mum to have babies. We took her in and she had 7 beautiful husky mix puppies. Her babies have all found homes and it is Chloe's turn now to find a home that will not dump her at a shelter ever again. She is full of energy and loves to run and play. She would best suited with a fenced in yard, no apartments for her. She is very smart and wants to please. She plays with several dogs in her foster home and will chase a cat if it runs. She has not hurt any of the cats at her foster home. She is fully vetted meaning fixed, current on all shots, heartworm/tick negative, micro chipped and on monthly prevention. Please read all the information below as it explains the process. All of us in the rescue have full time jobs as well as running the rescue so if you are interested in Chloe please go to our website www.doginghampalacerescue.org for our application. Then email the application back to doginghamrescue@aol.com. The fees on our website are very out dated, we are waiting on the lady to update everything. Since covid hit, it is hard to get into vets offices and prices have gone way up. The adoption fee and transport fee is explained below. We are based in the Nashville, TN area and have most of our dogs transported up north. The $150 adoption fee does not include the transport fee (will have a health certificate too). The transport fee is $220, so a total of $370. The transport fee is not refundable if things do not work out.

Story
We are offering the most regal and unusual Norwegian Elkhound female, named Svart (meaning dark in color) but we prefer to call her “Cleopatra”.  This gorgeous girl is the leader and Queen of them all.  Regal and fully confident, she is everything we know Cleopatra to have been back in her days of making history.  She is the epitome of a queen that is full of reigning power in her breeding pack.  This 5.5 year old girl is gorgeous and is 65 pounds.  Undeniably in charge , Cleopatra Svart insists on being the focus of your family’s life.  She can live in peace with other dogs but we don't think she would be good at dog parks with dogs rushing up to her face with no introduction. She is happy with all the humans she meets and she is part of a large pack of breeder dogs that her owner is asking Critter Cavalry Rescue to help place. She is downsizing and getting out of the breeding business.  Our Svart AKA Cleopatra, needs a place of her own inside a home with her dog bed throne to await her.  If you are interested in this regal queen, please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com She is ready for YOU to walk her down the red carpet to her new home. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 10, 2024, 9:09 am

Story
Clooney is an 8 year old Beagle, Hound mix looking for a new home.  He is used to being the only dog in the house and has not been properly socialized, therefore does not do well sharing with other dogs.  Clooney needs training with positive reinforcement.  He likes his people and makes a great companion.  He is a Hound that follows his nose so he will need leash walks or a fenced area to roam in.  If you can help with fostering this handsome guy until we can find him a great new home, please let us know.  ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 10, 2024, 9:09 am

Story
We have a story to tell about this wonderful 5-6 year old, 70 pound Shepherd mix girl that most rescues would have turned their back on and walked away when the owner wanted to return her.  She is a dog,  that through the love of a wonderful and gifted foster, was able to come back from the deep fears that somehow her adopter left unaddressed and unanswered when Heidi was first adopted and needed some understanding and work.  She was adopted as an older and shy pup who was almost a year old and for 3 years we thought all was fine.  But it was not.  When she was returned we found her shutdown, scared, skittish and not able to let you hardly touch her.  We were heartbroken to see her this way.  She was a soul that we needed to reach because she needed to be brought back to a place of trust and acceptance of the love that humans had for her.  Now… this wonderful dog is blooming confidently under the love and reassurance of her foster mom Hailey, who knew just how to reach her mind and soul.  Now here is what her foster mom says about her.  “Happy Heidi is the biggest sweetheart you could have around. She gets along well with dogs of all sizes and loves the 2 year old in the foster home. She is very curious with the cats, but typically leaves them alone. She is a little timid upon first meeting new people, but with some treats and a few pats on the head, she will become your new best friend quickly. Heidi walks well on a leash if she is with a confident handler and happily she loves car rides. She will match the energy level in the home and play while her humans do chores, or relax on the floor at the end of the day. She is house broken, very well crate trained, and lays down gladly to receive a good brush out!   She is a Shepherd mix girl with maybe some Great Pyr in her.  She is uniquely made inside and out and she is  lover girl that deserves a kind home where she can make her people the most important humans on the planet.  If you are interested, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  She already has her PJ’s all ready to go to come spend the night forever at YOUR HOUSE! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.  May 10, 2024, 9:09 am
