Story
Sweetie pie Seth is hoping he doesn’t have to wait much longer for his furever home! He’s a 2 1/2-year-old lab mix who has a heart full of love and a goofy personality. Seth was recently brought back to the shelter because he was too much for his owners to handle due to his size (75 pounds) and strength. Seth would absolutely benefit from obedience training to learn leash manners and commands. Seth was heartworm positive when first coming to us, but has been treated and is healthy. Seth is friendly with children ages 10+. He needs to be the only pet in the house. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info to learn more about Seth and schedule a time to come and meet this lovable goofball! UPDATE: Seth is a sweet boy with all people but is very strong and needs training with leash walking and dog aggression. An approved adopter will have the adoption fee returned to them after showing proof of formal training to work on both of these specific needs. If you have questions on Seth's training needs, please call 610-432-2532x2. Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052

Story
Meet Rocket! He’s around 9 months old, currently weighs 18 lbs., and is a Bergar Picard mix. This unique breed is a French herding dog, and they are known for being high-energy, independent problem-solvers with dominant personalities. Berger Picards have a stubborn streak, so Rocket will need a home with structure, rules, and lots of activity for the mind and body! The good news is that Rocket is eager to learn and show off his skills. While he is a total sweetheart and good-looking to boot, we recommend that interested parties research this breed prior to submitting an application to make sure they are prepared to adopt a little busy body like him. Rocket gets along with other dogs and would be okay in a home with older kids. He can be cat-tested upon request. Once you learn more about this interesting breed and conclude that you can give Rocket a home that will meet his needs, apply at LVPeaceableKingdom.info. Story
Check out our girl Holly, a 2–3-year-old, 39-lb., pittie. She arrived at PK as a stray (literally, she showed up at the shelter all by herself) and has been in a foster home for over a month now. Holly’s foster momma says that of all the dogs she has ever fostered, Holly is the most well-behaved house dog!!! She is fully potty-trained, listens well to commands, and doesn’t bark or chew! Although she is comfortable in the crate, her foster mom says Holly is totally trustworthy to have free rein of the house when alone. Holly goes on lots of walks/hikes and has become a champ on the leash. She is so well-behaved when encountering other people and dogs on the trail! Holly also loves visitors, including kids, who she loves to play with. Holly is open to meeting other dogs, but she prefers more mellow dogs. She can also be cat-tested upon request. Finally, while Holly is an expert cuddler, she also sleeps in her own bed at night. Overall, Holly is an extraordinarily friendly, outgoing, and affectionate dog. How is she not yet adopted??? Story
We are so excited to introduce Luna. This absolute charmer is a 6-year-old German Shepherd mix. Luna was extremely loved by her owner, and they had a deep bond; however, her owner was involved in a devastating accident that left the owner hospitalized and unable to care for Luna. Luna was out of sorts at the shelter. She doesn’t like being crated and wants to be near people. She has been in a foster home for the last month and is thriving! Luna is incredibly friendly and easy-going and has been a wonderful house guest. She loves running in the snow and going on long walks. While she is unphased by other dogs who walk by her while on a leash, Luna must be the only pet in the home because she doesn’t want to share her human’s attention! Luna is a big girl at 106 lbs., but needs to lose weight, so she should be with an owner who can provide her with a healthy lifestyle. Luna must undergo Tibial Tuberosity Advancement (TTA) surgery, which will be provided by PK. Although she cannot be formally adopted until surgery is complete, we are open to foster-to-adopt arrangements to help get her into a loving home as soon as possible. Even though Luna has been through a heartbreaking loss, she still has so much love to give and can’t wait to find another family with whom to develop a deep bond. Whoever adopts her is going to end up with a new best friend! Apply to adopt Luna at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052

Story
Scarlett is a big, goofy hound mix who landed at PK after being picked up as a stray. She is young – probably around 1 year old – and weighs 58 lbs. She may fill out more with age. Scarlett still has a lot of puppy left in her; she is bouncy, a bit mouthy, and very energetic! She is strong on the leash and will need help learning leash manners, but she is eager to please. Scarlett is friendly and affectionate and would do well with an active family who can help her burn of off that young dog energy! As a large dog, she would also benefit from formal training to help her to be the best girl possible around others. Scarlett would be open to meeting other dogs if you have them in the home. We can cat-test her upon request. While Scarlett would be fine around children, we don’t recommend her being in a home with very young kids, as she is large and could accidentally knock over little ones. Apply for her at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052

Story
This is August, a friendly husky mix who is ready to find herself a new family! August is 3 years old, weighs 47 lbs., and was surrendered to PK after a family member became allergic to her. August is friendly and outgoing. She gets along with small dogs, some bigger dogs (she’s a bit more selective with larger breeds), and has spent time around children of all ages. She can be cat-tested if requested. August walks well on a leash, is house- and crate-trained, and knows multiple commands. One of her eyes was injured when she was a newborn puppy, but the injury doesn’t bother her. August is a great family dog and would fit right into lots of homes! Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info.
