Story
We are so excited to introduce Luna. This absolute charmer is a 6-year-old German Shepherd mix who weighs around 87 lbs. Luna was extremely loved by her owner, and they had a deep bond; however, her owner was involved in a devastating accident that left the owner unable to care for Luna. Luna has been in a foster home for a couple of months and is thriving! Luna is incredibly friendly and easy-going and has been a wonderful house guest. She loves running in the snow and going on long walks. Despite her size, she is a dream to walk! While she is unphased by other dogs who walk by her while on a leash, Luna must be the only pet in the home because she doesn’t want to share her human’s attention. Luna recently underwent successful Tibial Tuberosity Advancement surgery and is now ready for her forever home! Even though Luna has been through a heartbreaking loss, she still has so much love to give and can’t wait to find another family with whom to develop a deep bond. Whoever adopts her is going to end up with a new best friend! Apply to adopt Luna at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052

Story
Pinky is an affectionate, goofy, playful girl with beautiful hazel-green eyes who came to PK from another shelter after being found as a stray. She is full of energy at about 1-2 years old and weighs 12 lbs. We think she is a Chihuahua and Dachshund mix. She loves playing with toys (but doesn't destroy them), running around the fenced yard, and getting attention from her people. She also has lots of fun chasing her tail, which will make you laugh! She is house trained and crate trained and does fine in a crate at night and when home alone, though she would probably also love to sleep in bed with you. She's a good work-from-home buddy and will lounge in a dog bed or entertain herself with toys or her tail while you work. She also rides well in the car. She takes time to warm up to new people, but once she knows she's safe with you, she's a lovebug and will reward you with affection. She has done well in a home with another dog, but we think she would also be fine as an only dog. She can be cat-tested upon request. She would do best in an adult-only household and in a single-family home. If you think you can provide the right home for Pinky, apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Story
This is Teddy and Buddy, an adorable duo that must be adopted together. They are incredibly bonded. Buddy is a scruffy, 1-year-old male Jack Russel terrier mix who weighs 20 lbs. Buddy is social, energetic, and easy-going. Teddy is a 9-month-old Pomeranian (?) mix who weighs 11 lbs. Teddy is a sweet and happy boy who has cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), a neurological condition caused by an underdeveloped cerebellum. CH causes Teddy to have poor balance and bob around, especially when he gets excited. While there is no treatment for CH, with proper care, dogs can live a long, happy life. Teddy enjoys walks in his stroller or baby carrier. Buddy likes to walk right beside Teddy and check on him frequently. Both boys get along with other dogs and would be fine in a home with older children who can tend to Teddy’s special needs. They can be cat-tested upon request. If you have questions about CH, feel free to contact our adoption team for additional information. For more information or to apply for this special pair, visit lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Story
Meet Zeus, the god of howling and goofiness! Zeus is a 1 ½ year old husky who weighs 48 lbs. He arrived as a stray and has been serenading everyone at the shelter since his arrival! Zeus is a nice boy who is still learning his manners. He will need a home that can provide rules and structure to teach him how to be the best boy, as he hasn’t had the best upbringing. As a husky, Zeus is also a natural escape artist and born runner, so he’ll need a family who is willing and able to keep him safely contained. Zeus is open to meeting other dogs and can be cat tested. We think he’d do fine in a home with older children. Fill out your application for Zeus at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Story
Hear ye, hear ye! All hail the King of Peaceable Kingdom! We joke, because there’s nothing very regal about this boy. King is a big, silly, lummox of a dog and we love him for it! King is 1 ½ years old, weighs 73 lbs., and is half Boxer, half German Shepherd/Husky mix. King has a big bark when you meet him, but he’s 100% soft inside. He has the best wiggle-butt when he’s excited to see you! King was surrendered because his prior owners were unable to care for him. He was crated a lot in the past and didn’t get proper training as a puppy, so he’s still learning good-boy manners, like potty-training and walking on a leash. King is very talkative at the shelter, so he may benefit from a home without shared walls. King grew up around other dogs and supposedly cats, too, but we can cat test him if you have a kitty at home. King would do fine around older children, but he’s probably too big for the little ones. Apply for this big, loveable goofball at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052
