Story
You've met Pete the cat, but have you met Pete the dog! Well here he is in all his glory! Pete is a smart 7-8 year old boy and would love to show you his sit and paw when you come to meet him! Pete has been in a foster home for 2 mos and this is what we learned...Pete should be the only pet in the home because he loves his food and toys so much and doesn't want to share. He also will eat anything you have within reach...starting off 2026 on a health kick? Pete can help you clean out all the unhealthy foods! He rides well in the car and enjoys hikes and getting the zoomies. Older children or no children only in the home. Pete is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and we are willing to have an approved family foster to adopt through the treatment. Apply today at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052

Story
Meet Rosie, our very own Rosie the Riveter — strong, resilient, and ready to take on a brand-new chapter in life! 💪This 3-year-old, 40-lb petite shepherd mix has already proven she’s one tough girl. After giving birth to and raising seven healthy, beautiful puppies, Rosie’s mama duties are finally complete — and now it’s her turn to be cared for and adored. Don’t let her slightly serious expression fool you — beneath that determined exterior is a total softie who loves human attention. She takes time to warm up to some people though, especially men, and may need multiple meets to build trust before being ready to be adopted. She’s been good with other dogs and older kids, and while cats are still a mystery, she can be tested. Rosie is housetrained and an excellent passenger on car rides! Rosie’s worked hard to bring up her little ones, and now she’s ready for a loving home where she gets to be the one doted on. Rosie’s done building families — now she’s ready to join one! Story
Meet Lucas, a fluffy little boy in search of a new home! Lucas is 3 months old and a terrier mix who currently weighs 10 lbs. He will probably be medium-sized (~40 lbs.) once full grown. Lucas and his three siblings were transferred here from another rescue. They are all a little timid, but we are sure they will warm up quickly once they get into their forever homes. As a young pup, Lucas still has lots of learning ahead of him, so he’ll need a family committed to helping him with potty-training, learning how to walk on a leash, and general good-boy manners. Lucas’ coat will require regular grooming so that he looks and feels his best. As an adaptable puppy, Lucas will fit into a home with other dogs, cats, and kids. Check back in for cone-free photos! Story
Please welcome the “Ferris Bueller Litter” to PK! These 10-week-old Golden Retriever/Dalmatian mix puppies were recently surrendered and are ready to ditch the kennel and start their best “day off” ever—in a forever home. Currently around 13 pounds, they’re expected to grow into large, active dogs. Like any young pups, they are sweet, curious, and full of playful energy—always looking for their next big outing (or backyard adventure). They’ll need families committed to training, structure, and plenty of activity to help them grow into well-rounded adult dogs. As adaptable puppies, they are likely to do well in a variety of homes, including those with other dogs, cats, and kids. Ferris is the mastermind of fun—confident, clever, and always ready to turn an ordinary day into something unforgettable. He’s outgoing, playful, and loves being in the middle of the action. If you’re looking for a pup who will keep life exciting and make every day feel like a perfectly planned “day off,” Ferris is your guy! Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info.
