Their dad is a Doberman/Rottweiler mix and their mom is a Shepherd/Husky mix, so these pups are expected to grow into large dogs. Patty is one of the girls and the calmest of the bunch. With her adorable oversized ears and sweet personality, she’s sure to charm everyone she meets—no pot of gold required! Like any young pup, Patty has plenty of playful puppy energy and is still learning the basics, including potty training and leash walking. Because she’ll grow into a big dog, Patty will need a family committed to training, structure, and helping her become an excellent canine citizen. After giving birth to and raising seven healthy, beautiful puppies, Rosie’s mama duties are finally complete — and now it’s her turn to be cared for and adored. She takes time to warm up to some people though, especially men, and may need multiple meets to build trust before being ready to be adopted. Meet Lucas, a fluffy little boy in search of a new home! Lucas is 3 months old and a terrier mix who currently weighs 10 lbs. He will probably be medium-sized (~40 lbs.) once full grown. Lucas and his three siblings were transferred here from another rescue. They are all a little timid, but we are sure they will warm up quickly once they get into their forever homes. As a young pup, Lucas still has lots of learning ahead of him, so he’ll need a family committed to helping him with potty-training, learning how to walk on a leash, and general good-boy manners. This is Nene, a sweet, young, male Pit Bull mix searching for a soft landing spot. Nene is around 1 year old and weighs 44 lbs. His people moved away and left him behind with a friend, who was unable to care for Nene long term, so he was surrendered to PK. Nene isn’t jaded by his circumstances though; he still just wants to be around people and receive all of the cuddles! He is a little scared of new things, but he’ll grow out of that with time and a supportive family. He’s curious and playful, although he’s still learning to appreciate toys. He grew up with another dog and can be tested to see how he does with kitties upon request. We think Nene would be fine with gentle children.
