Story
Please welcome Maniac to PK. Yes, we know—the name doesn't exactly match this gentle little soul! This sweet 6-year-old, 10-pound Chihuahua mix came to us after her owner passed away and previously lived in a home with 12 other dogs. Maniac is a shy and timid girl with the sweetest little face, and it's clear she's spent much of her life caring for others. Now she's ready for a new chapter where she can leave motherhood behind, enjoy some peace and quiet, and finally get the attention she deserves. After sharing the spotlight with a whole pack of dogs who were happy to steal all the cuddles, it's her turn to be the star! Maniac gets along well with other dogs, can be cat tested if needed, and would do best in a calm home with older, respectful children who will treat her gently and help her build confidence. If you're looking for a quiet, loving companion who just wants a safe place to relax and be cherished, Maniac is ready to meet you. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052.July 14, 2026, 2:31 pm

Story
Meet Buddy and Bella! This bonded pair of 12-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mixes have been through more change than any senior dogs should. After their beloved owners passed away, a family member did everything they could to keep them together, but ultimately made the difficult decision to trust us to find them a loving new home. Because they've always had each other, preference will be given to adopters who can welcome them as a pair. Bella weighs 14 pounds and is as sweet as they come. She enjoys walks, still has plenty of pep in her step, loves relaxing in the sunshine, and is equally happy when it's time for an afternoon snooze. She appears to be housetrained, gets along well with her brother, is open to meeting other dogs, can be cat tested, and should do well with children. If you have room in your heart and home for two deserving senior companions, Buddy and Bella would love to spend their golden years with you. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Story
Meet Jingles! This 5-year-old, 80-pound Husky came to us from another local rescue and is ready to sing his way into your heart. Like any respectable Husky, Jingles has plenty to say and isn't shy about sharing his opinions, but he's also a gentle, friendly, and affectionate guy who enjoys spending time with people. He's smart, walks well on a leash, and even handles grooming like a champ—a rare talent for a dog with that much fluff! Jingles is open to meeting other dogs, can be cat tested, and we expect he'd do well with children. If you're looking for a big, handsome best friend who's equal parts brains, personality, and conversation, Jingles is ready to make some noise in your home. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Story
Meet Hydrangea. This 4-year-old, 46-pound American Staffordshire Terrier came to us from another area shelter and is ready to bloom in a home of her own. Hydrangea is full of personality and charm. She’s friendly, affectionate, and not shy about asking for attention. She has a wonderfully expressive face, complete with big smiles and soulful eyes that say it all. Hydrangea is a strong girl and is still working on her leash manners, so she’ll benefit from continued training and guidance. The good news is she’s eager to please—she already knows “sit,” “paw,” and takes treats like a polite lady. She also enjoys toys and playtime, making her a fun and engaging companion. She seems to do well with other dogs, can be cat tested if needed, and would likely do well in a home with kids. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving dog whose personality will truly bloom with a little care and attention, Hydrangea might be your perfect match. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Because they've always had each other, preference will be given to adopters who can welcome them as a pair. Buddy weighs 22 pounds and is a friendly, curious guy who enjoys being around people and seems to be taking all of life's changes in stride. He appears to be housetrained, gets along well with Bella, is open to meeting other dogs, can be cat tested, and should do well with children. Buddy does have multiple growths on his body. While we don't know exactly what they are, they are too large to safely remove. The good news is they don't seem to bother him at all, and he's otherwise a happy, healthy boy who is simply looking for a soft place to land with his best friend by his side. If you have room in your heart and home for two deserving senior companions, Buddy and Bella would love to spend their golden years with you. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info.
