Story
Bene is theoretically 9 years old. When he was adopted his age was uncertain but a vet estimated he was about 4 years old at the time. Ive had Bene for 5 years and he has never attacked another dog, bit a child, or even retaliated against a cat that was being unfriendly towards him. That being said: Bene is very energetic, happy to meet new people, and the typical amount of anxious that is normal in his breed. The only unusual/bad habit Bene has is that he likes to rummage through trash. I got a tall bin too large for him to topple and a locked lid that he could not open. That was about a year ago, he has not done it since then. Recently, Ive had to move back in with family, and the only people that could take me in have a zero tolerance no-pet lease and my younger members are seemingly allergic. Im currently harboring Bene with me, but I dont know anyone who will take him and Im certain I have less than a week before the situation turns sour. He needs a good home please.

Story
Meet Nala — a soft little soul with the sweetest eyes and a quiet, growing spark. Nala is a 5-year-old spayed and vaccinated Shih Tzu who came to Zoe’s house from a commercial breeder. For most of her life, she never experienced the simple joys many dogs take for granted — toys, soft grass under her paws, or the comfort of being someone’s beloved companion. Because of her past, Nala can be shy at first and needs a little time to feel safe. But once she does? Her quirky, playful personality starts to peek out in the most heart-melting ways. She loves to chase her tail, proudly carry around her favorite toy- a glove, and soak up gentle belly rubs. She enjoys her walks and does beautifully on a leash. Nala sleeps comfortably in her crate and relaxes in her playpen when her foster mom is at work. She is well on her way to being house-trained and continues to make steady progress, with only occasional accidents. Nala currently lives in a calm foster home without other dogs. She can be slow to warm up to new dogs and would thrive in a patient, stable home — possibly as the only dog or with a very gentle companion. What she loves most is simply being near her person. Following her human from room to room has become her sweet little ritual. Nala doesn’t shed much and would make a devoted companion for someone with gentle hands and a kind heart who understands that trust is earned slowly — and beautifully. Nala is being fostered in Berks County, PA. Approved adopters will need to travel to meet her. If you’re looking for a quiet, loyal best friend and are willing to give her the time she deserves, Nala will reward you with a lifetime of love. www.zoeshouserescue.com Zoe’s House Rescue Kennel License 9117 Sinking Spring, PA 19608

Story
Meet Ginger 🧡 This 3-year-old, 75-lb Norwegian Elkhound is the total package: handsome, gentle, and just the right amount of goofy. Ginger is neutered and up to date on vaccines. He did test positive for Lyme disease and will need to finish his treatment in his forever home—but don’t let that scare you off. He’s feeling good and ready to find his people. When Ginger first arrived, he was a little shy… but give him a minute and that whimsical, playful spirit comes shining through. He has a warm, affectionate nature and truly longs to be loved. He’s the kind of dog who will happily trot off to enjoy a peaceful moment on his own, then circle back to lean into you for some quiet affection. The balance? Chef’s kiss. He’s great with kids, wonderful with other dogs, and carries himself with that classic Elkhound confidence mixed with endearing goofiness. Well-behaved, photogenic (seriously, he knows his angles), and full of heart—Ginger is ready to be someone’s loyal companion for life. If you’re looking for a dog who can be both your adventure buddy and your cozy couch companion, Ginger might just be your guy. Apply for him at zoeshouserescue.com Kennel #9117 Sinking Spring, PA 🐾

Story
Hi, my name is Ginny! I am a 6 y/o Shorkie (Shih Tzu/Yorkie), weighing in at 11 pounds. I was surrendered to Zoe’s House by a breeder who didn't need me anymore. I’ve been hanging out with my awesome foster family for a while so they could get to know me and help me find my forever family. My foster Mom said I was a little standoffish at first, but it didn’t take me long to warm up once I knew I was safe and no one would hurt me. Since then, I’ve been loving all the attention I get from my foster family. My ideal family would be one that gives me a LOT of attention. I thrive on cuddling, hugs and being as close to my humans as possible. I really hope my forever family will allow me to sleep in bed with them and allow me on their couch to cuddle. I love my people so much that a home where people are home more often than not would be great. I get along well with the other pups in my foster home but I would be perfectly fine being your one and only. My foster home has older kids and I think they are great. Younger kids (under 13) make me nervous. I’m housebroken and will stand by the door when I need to go out. Please remember that regression is normal in new environments. I do not need a home with a fence since I’m fine being taken out to the yard on a leash. I do need more practice going for walks around the neighborhood so I hope my forever family will work on that with me. Zoe’s House has made sure I got spayed and I had some mammary tumors removed. Thankfully the tumors were benign. I’ve also had my teeth professionally cleaned and I had about half of them pulled out. I’m up to date on vaccines and preventatives. I have a clear bill of health and am ready to move on to my forever! I’m being fostered in Blandon, PA so any approved applicant may need to travel here with their dogs before an adoption is approved. If you think you can be my forever family, please apply on zoeshouserescue.com . Kennel License #9117 PO Box 2372 Reading, PA 19608

Story
Meet Rooster 🐾 Rooster is a one-and-a-half-year-old mini Bernedoodle weighing 21 pounds of sweetness and potential. He enjoys having animal companions and is currently living with another dog and a kitten in his foster home. He would do especially well in a home with another friendly pet to help him continue building confidence. Rooster came from a commercial breeder situation and had little to no meaningful interaction with people before coming into foster care about a month and a half ago. Because of that, he is still learning how to be a dog in a home and how to trust the people around him. He needs a family who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let him build that bond at his own pace. Rooster does best when people allow him to come to them rather than expecting immediate affection. With patience and consistency, he continues to make steady progress. He would likely do well in a home with an older child who understands that he is still a sensitive, sometimes nervous little dog. A patient and gentle child who respects his space could become a special person in his world. Rooster loves being outside and would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard and people who enjoy spending time outdoors. He’s turned “coming back inside” into his own daily game, which adds a little personality to his routine. He is crate trained and settles well in his crate, especially when foster mom has to go out or go to work, as his curiosity can sometimes get the best of him. When given structure, he does very well. At night, he enjoys sleeping with his pack in bed. Rooster is also learning how to walk on a leash. With a calm, confident person on the other end, he walks beautifully and continues to grow in confidence. Rooster is neutered, microchipped, fully up to date on vaccines, and recently had a dental cleaning. He is healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently being fostered in Spring City, Pennsylvania and his chosen family should be prepared to travel there for his adoption. Meet and greets with all resident pets are part of the application process. Rooster isn’t just looking for a home — he’s looking for someone willing to see past his shy beginnings and invest in the loyal, loving dog he’s becoming. With patience, kindness, and time, he will form a deep and meaningful bond with his person. If you sound like Rooster’s kind of person, apply at www.zoeshouserescue.com Zoe’s House Sinking Spring, PA Kennel License 9117

Story
Once known as Aries, this courageous little guy came to us with a significant injury, in need of compassion, expert care, and a fresh start. Thanks to dedicated medical treatment and an abundance of love, he has made an incredible recovery. Today, he’s healthy, happy, and ready to begin his next chapter with a forever family to call his own. Now answering to the name Trip, this resilient one-year-old Cavapoo refuses to let his past define him. He’s full of life, affection, and nonstop tail wags, ready to “trip” his way straight into your heart. Because an old injury wasn’t properly treated before his rescue, his front left leg had to be amputated, but don’t tell Trip he’s missing anything! He’s thriving on three legs and has adjusted beautifully to his new normal. He zips around with confidence, plays with his toys like it’s his full-time job, and embraces life with joyful determination. Trip has soft reddish-blond curls that they’ll require regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best. In his foster home, Trip does well with other dogs. However, he would prefer not to share his favorite humans or his treasured toys and would thrive in a home that understands his desire for a little personal space when it comes to the things he loves most. He has also done wonderfully with older, respectful children who understand how to interact gently and kindly. A true cuddle bug at heart, Trip simply wants to be close to his people. His sweet, devoted personality shines through in everything he does, and he’s more than ready to bring love, loyalty, and plenty of happy moments to his forever home. He is: • ✨ Neutered • 💉 Up to date on all vaccinations • 📍 Microchipped • 🐾 Adapting incredibly well as a tripod This brave boy doesn’t need sympathy, he just needs a family who will love him as much as he will love them. He’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and a whole lot of snuggles into a forever home. If you’re looking for a devoted, playful, and inspiring companion, this special guy is ready to hop right into your heart. Trip is currently being fostered in Dauphin County. Interested adopters must visit his foster home twice. The first visit is a meet and greet with all the members of the household, including the existing dogs. If approved the second visit is to take him home. www.zoeshouserescue.com Kennel license: 9117 PO box 2372 Reading, PA 19608
