Story
Meet Leo! This adorable 4-month-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix came to us from another rescue and is currently 19 pounds, with plenty of growing left to do. He's expected to be a medium-sized adult, although someone forgot to tell his ears and tail—they're comically oversized at the moment, like he hasn't quite grown into all his equipment yet! Leo is a very sweet, friendly puppy who loves people and is ready to find a family of his own. He's doing well in his crate and, like any puppy, will need continued work on potty training, manners, and all the other important lessons that turn a cute puppy into a well-behaved adult dog. He's young and adaptable and should be able to fit nicely into a variety of homes, including those with other dogs, cats, and children. If you're looking for a lovable puppy with giant ears, an extra-long tail, and plenty of room to grow into both, Leo would love to meet you! Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Story
Meet Bella! After her beloved owners passed away, a family member did everything they could to keep her but ultimately made the difficult decision to trust us to find her a loving new home. Bella weighs 14 pounds and is as sweet as they come. She enjoys walks, still has plenty of pep in her step, loves relaxing in the sunshine, and is equally happy when it's time for an afternoon snooze. She is housetrained and is open to meeting other dogs, can be cat tested, and should do well with children. Bella is currently in foster with Buddy who came from the same home. The foster is finding out they are not bonded and would do fine separated and would enjoy one on one time with you. If you have room in your heart and home Bella would love to spend her golden years with you. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Story
Meet Buddy! This 12-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix has been through more change than any senior dog should. After his beloved owners passed away, a family member did everything they could to keep him, but ultimately made the difficult decision to trust us to find him a loving new home. Buddy weighs 22 pounds and is a friendly, curious guy who enjoys being around people and seems to be taking all of life's changes in stride. He appears to be housetrained, is open to meeting other dogs, can be cat tested, and should do well with children. Buddy does have multiple growths on his body. While we don't know exactly what they are, they are too large to safely remove. The good news is they don't seem to bother him at all, and he's otherwise a happy, healthy boy who is simply looking for a soft place to land for his golden years. Buddy is currently in foster with Bella, however the foster is finding they are not bonded and would be just as content in a home getting all the love. If you have room in your heart and home for Buddy, apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052. September 18, 2026, 2:30 pm

Story
Ahoy, mateys! Meet Captain Jack Sparrow, a 3-year-old, 22-pound Jack Russell Terrier mix with a pirate's name, a missing rear foot, and absolutely no shortage of personality! Captain Jack came to us from another rescue after he was originally brought into a shelter by an animal control officer when his owner went into a nursing home. We don't know how he lost his foot, but like any good pirate, Captain Jack isn't letting a little thing like that slow him down—he gets around just fine and doesn't appear to be bothered by it at all. This swashbuckling little guy loves to play, adores other dogs, and is a big fan of kids. He's not sure about cats yet, but he can be cat tested. Captain Jack spent a short time in foster before coming to Peaceable Kingdom and is crate trained, although he has made it his personal mission to destroy every stuffie that crosses his path. He has had a couple of accidents, so his new crew may need to help him brush up on his potty training. He's also known to get a little squeaky when he wants attention—apparently even a pirate needs to make his demands known! If you're looking for a fun-loving first mate who is ready for adventures on land, Captain Jack Sparrow is waiting to sail straight into your heart. Yo ho ho and a forever home! Story
Rally is still searching for her forever home! This 1-year-old, 15-lb. Miniature Pinscher/Terrier mix has come an incredibly long way since joining us. Rally was originally rescued from a home with more than 60 dogs, so she missed out on some important socialization and is still a little shy. But we're seeing more and more of her real personality—and she's proving to be a playful, energetic, curious, and surprisingly confident little dog. Rally LOVES toys, especially stuffies and anything that squeaks, and she's also a big fan of Nylabones. Walks are one of her favorite things! She's confident on leash, walks at a nice brisk pace, and would make a great walking buddy for someone who likes to get moving. She's a high-energy young dog who needs daily activity, whether that's walks, structured play, or room to run. She's smart, observant, and learns quickly. She's also a food enthusiast—Rally is definitely not one of those picky little dogs and considers mealtime a major event, complete with spinning, zoomies, and general celebration. She's still a little squirrelly when someone reaches down to pet her head while standing, but she's happy to back herself up for some excellent rear-end scritches. She'll also come in for more affection when you're down on the floor with her, and her favorite place to curl up is right between your legs. She's quiet as a mouse in the car, although she has gotten carsick on longer rides. Rally will need time to settle into a new home, and she'll need a patient adopter who understands that she can be a flight risk initially. Most importantly, Rally needs another dog in her forever home. She absolutely blossoms around canine companions and is more relaxed and confident when she has a dog buddy. When she's lived as an only dog, she's tended to be more anxious and barky. Her dream home would have another friendly dog, a securely fenced yard where she can burn off some of that energy, and no shared walls. Rally is mostly housetrained, fine with cats, and would do best with older, responsible children. She's a special little dog who has already made tremendous progress, and with the right home, we know there's even more of her wonderful personality waiting to come out. Story
Meet Bolo! This 7-year-old Boxer weighs 78 pounds and is looking for a fresh start after being surrendered by his owner. Don't let his kennel behavior fool you—Bolo doesn't always put his best paw forward behind the kennel door, but once he's out, you'll find a friendly, easygoing guy who enjoys spending time with people. He seems to look to his humans for direction, walks nicely on a leash, and while he's on the lower-energy side these days, he still enjoys getting out for strolls and exploring the world. His previous owner trusted him to have free roam of the house when left alone, so he already has some great house manners. Bolo does get a little excited and jumps when greeting people at the door, but that's something his future family can continue to work on with positive training. He has done well with some dogs but can be a bit selective about his canine friends, would do best with older children, and can be cat tested if needed. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's past the wild puppy stage but still has plenty of love to give, Bolo is ready to meet you. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info.
