Story
Meet Helen. This Labrador Retriever mix has the sweetest face and an equally sweet personality to match. At just shy of 13 years old and 46 pounds, Helen came to us from another rescue and is ready to enjoy her golden years in a loving home. She’s a very friendly senior girl who clearly enjoys being around people and walks nicely on leash. While we’re still getting to know her, Helen already seems like the kind of dog who would settle easily into home life and simply enjoy being part of the family. She’s looking for a home where she can enjoy a nice balance of fresh air—whether that’s relaxing in a yard or going for leisurely walks—and cozy sofa time with her favorite people. Helen is open to meeting other dogs, can be cat tested if needed, and would likely do well with gentle kiddos. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion with a kind soul and a sweet gray face, Helen might be your perfect match. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Story
Meet Donald. This 2-year-old Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier mix weighs about 19 pounds and came to us from another rescue after living in a home with more than 60 dogs. Because of his background, the world can still feel a little overwhelming to him at times, and he’ll need a patient, understanding family to help him continue building confidence. Donald is timid and shy with new people, but he is gentle in nature and slowly warms up when given the space to feel safe and secure. He would do best in a home with another confident dog to help show him the ropes and provide reassurance. Donald may also be a flight risk, so his future family will need to take extra precautions with doors, leashes, and transitions. A securely fenced yard where he can safely explore and decompress would be ideal for him. He’s good with other dogs, can be cat tested if needed, and would do best in a home without small children—older, respectful kids who understand his sensitive nature would be a better fit. With time, patience, and love, Donald has all the potential to become a devoted companion. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Story
Meet Hydrangea. This 4-year-old, 46-pound American Staffordshire Terrier came to us from another area shelter and is ready to bloom in a home of her own. Hydrangea is full of personality and charm. She’s friendly, affectionate, and not shy about asking for attention. She has a wonderfully expressive face, complete with big smiles and soulful eyes that say it all. Hydrangea is a strong girl and is still working on her leash manners, so she’ll benefit from continued training and guidance. The good news is she’s eager to please—she already knows “sit,” “paw,” and takes treats like a polite lady. She also enjoys toys and playtime, making her a fun and engaging companion. She seems to do well with other dogs, can be cat tested if needed, and would likely do well in a home with kids. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving dog whose personality will truly bloom with a little care and attention, Hydrangea might be your perfect match. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Story
Meet Aero! This 5-year-old Rat Terrier mix weighs about 14 pounds and came to us from another rescue. Now settling into foster care, he’s beginning to show his true self. Aero can be quite shy and scared at first, but with a little time and patience, he’s already starting to come out of his shell. He’ll need a calm, understanding home that can help him continue building confidence at his own pace. Once he feels safe, Aero is sure to form a strong bond with his people. He’s open to meeting other dogs and can be cat tested if needed. Aero would do best with older kids who understand how to be gentle and respectful of his sensitive nature. If you’re someone who finds joy in helping a dog blossom and grow, Aero could be a very rewarding companion. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Story
Say hello to Haze. This 2-year-old small Terrier mix weighs about 17 pounds and came to us from another rescue after being saved from a hoarding situation. Despite his difficult past, Haze has a sweet and affectionate personality that shines through once he feels comfortable. He can be a little shy at first, but it doesn’t take long before he’s soaking up attention and asking for love. Haze especially enjoys being held and sitting on laps, and he’ll even wrap his little paws around you for a hug in return. He has an energetic side as well. Haze does well with other dogs, can be cat tested if needed, and would likely do well with respectful kids who understand his somewhat sensitive nature and difficult background. If you’re looking for a loving little companion who wants nothing more than to be close to his people, Haze might be your perfect match. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Meet Gerald! This 3-month-old Australian Cattle Dog (Heeler) mix came to us from another rescue alongside his mom, Mellie, and seven littermates. Currently around 11 pounds, Gerald will grow into a medium-sized adult dog. He’s a friendly, playful puppy with a goofy personality and lots of curiosity about the world around him. Gerald loves toys, attention, and playtime, and he’s always ready to join in on the fun. Like many Heelers, he’s an intelligent and active pup who will thrive in a home that can provide regular exercise, interaction, and mental stimulation as he grows. As an adaptable young puppy, Gerald is likely to do well with other dogs, cats, and kids. If you’re looking for a smart, fun-loving companion, Gerald might be your perfect match.
