Story
Hi, Mylo is a 2-year-old rescue dog with the sweetest, derpiest personality. He loves being outside, playing, and being close to his person,if he could lay on your entire body, he absolutely would. I rescued him from a shelter in San Diego when he was just 6 weeks old, and since then he has been incredibly loved and well cared for. He has traveled to many states with me, is fully potty trained, and is very well behaved in public. Mylo can be a bit nervous at times and really thrives on companionship and interaction. He does best with someone who can give him consistent attention and reassurance. I now have a very young child, and while I love Mylo deeply, managing the early stages of parenthood alongside a dog who needs more interaction than I can currently provide has been very challenging. This decision comes from a place of love and honesty,I want Mylo to have the life, attention, and presence he truly deserves.

Story
Humpty has been with us since Easter, 2024 and has a huge personality that he is so very willing to show off to anyone and everyone at any given time.He has spent every moment of that time, when not at Petco on Saturdays, in boarding, but it has not dulled his shine or dampened his amazing spirit. He spent a week in training and for the right person, he's willing to show off that training but you have to be a stronger personality than his. Those ears are sometimes just for show but he actually can use them and for just the right person, he will show you just how well they work. He's bursting with energy and needs someone who can match that energy and he makes sure you understand this immediately upon meeting him. He understands differences of opinions but believes that his is always the correct one and will argue with you over this, therefore he needs someone able to guide and teach him how to properly argue and not be headstrong or rude about it but to have a conversation instead of a heated argument. He needs to continue his training, lest he completely forget he ever attended training classes, so he needs someone committed to continuing education in that area. Since he is so athletic, he could jump a standard chain link fence or a low standing fence so a privacy fence would be ideal for him or someone committed to leash walking/hiking on the daily. He LOVES to play and run but he's rather RUFF around the edges so a dog who can match his energy and rowdy play style who might teach him to tone it down some as he grows, would be an ideal playmate.A tired pup is a good pup. Toys are a must, of course, as would be someone who loves a playful, energetic and very adventurous, treat oriented pup who has no cats, small animals or small children. He is fully vetted, microchipped, on heartworm prevention, neutered and his fee has been sponsored. Story
Oscar is basically Mr. Perfect, in my opinion. He is the whole package... potty trained, well behaved, sweet as sugar, VERY playful, energetic, crate trained, house trained, handsome, loving and adorable, snuggly, you name it, this guy has it all wrapped up in a lowrider body. I'm having a hard time even thinking of letting him go to somebody else so you have to be pretty perfect, like him, for me to approve your application. A couple of German Shepherds tried to eat his head, so he looks like Stripe from the show The Gremlins, with his scars on his poor head and he doesn't like large dogs because of it. He is also afraid of cats and will bark at them. He needs a buddy his size (He's about 20 lb) to rough house and play with, to run around with in a securely fence yard and in the house where they can have squeaky toys and bones. He would love someone home most of the time, but he is perfectly content in a plastic crate, he prefers that to a metal one and will not settle in a dog bed at night, he will go to the plastic crate instead. I've taught him to wait at the top of the stairs and the bottom of the stairs until I have ascended or descended and then he can do the same but only after me. I've also taught him to ring the bell to go out and he absolutely loves to be outside, just looking around. When he lets you know he needs to go outside to potty, you best let him out right then! He would LOVE to have a doggie door and a very secure fenced yard to go out into with a doggie friend to romp and play with!I'm teaching him to sit and wait when I open a door before he goes outside, for safety reasons. He's great on a leash and loves to ride in a car, safely buckled into his harness. **He is absolutely terrified of fireworks and loud noises outside** so he has to have melatonin (but he can't physically eat gummies lol) or trazodone when there are going to be fireworks or very loud noises!!!He is neutered, microchipped, has had his rabies, Bordetella, distempor-parvo booster, dewormed, heartworm negative and unprevention. Apply for this perfect gentleman online at MadisonARF.orgHis adoption fee is $200

Story
Age: 5 years 6 months Why do you need to rehome Nova? She's very aggressive with my other female dog, I've done training. She's on trazadone and still fights leading to many vet visits costing me thousands. It's not fair for her to remain in a home that she's not happy in. How does your pet get along with dogs/cats? Not females Does your pet have any behavioral notes (digs/climb fences/food guarding/toy guarding, etc)? Toy guarding with other dogs. We call her the fun police when other dogs at home are playing, she gets worked up and barks at them a lot. I think she would thrive in a home with no pets. I love Nova so much she had no training when I adopted her. She's come a long way, but I can no longer care for her. My physical health is declining as well. I can't keep breaking up these fights. She's such a cutie I call her my little moo moo or derp lol. She loves cuddles, kisses, scratches and just being with her human.

Poodle (Standard) Schnauzer (Standard)

Male, 12 yrs
Madison, AL
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Not good with kids, Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This old guy (10-12 years young) seems to have been dumped because he got old and there are no nursing homes for dogs so he was picked up by a high kill shelter that he probably never would have made it out of, sadly, so we rescued him to give him a bit of a chance, we hope. He can't see well, due to cataracts in both eyes and he might be a little hard of hearing, but he's very cuddly, loving and seems to be still house trained if you take him out in time and he will be your best buddy for the rest of his little life. He needs a lap and he will give you all the love he has to give, which is a lot for little 8/9 lb dog, as long as you take care of him which is more than we can say for his last owners but I'm sure he loved them his entire life. He is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and on preventives, has had rabies, bordetella, distemper parvo booster, the whole shebang, just like all of our dogs and he's ready to go to his forever living home. Please apply for this absolute doll baby online atMadisonARF.orgThe adoption fee is $175
