Story
Freddy is approx. 2 years old, male, Black Mouth Cur/Anatolian mix. He’s fully vetted, Neutered, on heart worm prevention and micro chipped. He’s looking for his forever home and boy does he deserve it. He’s been boarding at a local facility most of his little life and is ready to spread his wings. Freddy is a very energetic and playful pup. His favorite is fetch. He would be a great companion for someone who likes to take long walks, hikes…somebody with his high level of energy! Please consider giving this young man a home. Probably best if no small children in the household as he is a little rambunctious. Since he is so athletic, he could jump a standard chain link fence or a low standing fence so a privacy fence would be ideal for him or someone committed to leash walking/hiking on the daily. He has had a week of in home one on one training and would love to find someone that could reinforce that. Please apply online for him at madisonarf.org

Story
Cooper is the best dog I've ever owned If you're ready for a loving, trainable, and playful partner who will brighten every day, Cooper is the dog that fits the bill. Eager to please: He’ll sit, stay, roll over, or “high‑five”, making training a breeze and giving you a well‑behaved partner from day one. Food‑motivated: A tasty treat instantly sparks his focus, so teaching new tricks or good manners is fast, fun, and rewarding for both of you. Play‑lover: Whether it’s a game of tug‑of‑war with his favorite rope, or a quick backyard chase, Cooper’s enthusiasm keeps kids and adults active and entertained. Social & gentle: He greets visitors with a wagging tail, gets along with children (8 +), other dogs, and even cats, making him a seamless addition to any household. What that means for you: Let’s meet him and see how he can become the newest member of your family!

Story
DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU MEET THE CRITERIA SET FORTHShe is very very tiny but very mighty. Therefore she must be kept inside and safe. No dogs over 7 lb because she's used to playing with a 7 lb dachshund. Your dog must be, like her, updated on distemper-parvo booster, Bordetella, rabies, soayed/neutered, on heartworm prevention and flea and tick prevention. You must have a vet reference to verify. Prefer someone home most of the time but young enough to be here for the rest of her life and she'll likely live at least 15 more years so please take that into consideration. No elders like me needs this puppy and she's a handful, to be sure. She's needing potty training, loving, training of all kinds but she's worth it all. She's adorable but trouble with a capital T as all puppies are. She's so tiny she can be hurt easily and lost easily. I'll be super careful where this one goes because we've been through a lot together and she deserves the best of the best. Her adoption fee is $300 You may apply online at MadisonARF.orgNO CHILDRENNO ELDERLY

Meet Stella, a 1.5 year old, lab/pit mix with a sweet and playful personality. This has been a very difficult decision, but due to Stella not getting along with our cats, we're looking for a wonderful, cat‑free home that fits her needs. Stella would thrive in a single dog/animal household. 💛 About Stella - Temperament: playful, cuddly, protective - Energy Level: medium - likes to play but also likes to snuggle - Good with: Adults and kids. Does not get along with cats or other female dogs. - Training: house-trained and crate-trained - Health: vaccinated and fixed - Favorite things: naps, playing fetch or tug 🏡 Ideal Home Stella would thrive in a home without cats and possibly a single dog household where she can feel secure and get plenty of love and attention. She has so much love to give and will be a devoted companion to the right family.

Story
The owners were older and couldn't handle her energy level, though, truth be told, they didn't really try everything like a trainer, etc, they just gave up and turned her over to a kill shelter. She's high energy, needs training and room to run that energy off, with some playmates to wear each other out. Even some older kids to run around with. Do you go running or hiking? Then this girl is your kind of buddy! She's also one big LOVE BUG. She wants all the pets, please and thank you. She can even out run mini Aussies at the Foster Home, which is usually unheard of there! But they're all having a blast running around, playing and wearing each other out. She's doesn't bother the barn cats on the farm. She's house trained, too, and does very well in the house. She needs a yard with a fence to run in. And a friend to play with. She's very well mannered if you are the Alpha. She's playful, fun, and loveable to the MAX.NOT AN APARTMENT DOG.She's been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and on all preventions, as all of our dogs are, so she's ready and eager to go! Apply for this 1 year old beautiful girl online atMadisonarf.orgHer adoption fee is $200
