This handsome little guy had a rough start after being found as an injured stray. Because of his injury, his tail had to be docked, but don't let that fool you. If Petey isn't sleeping, he's wagging what he has left with pure happiness! Life as a beloved pet is still a new adventure for Petey, and he's embracing it one day at a time. He has a big appetite and not just for food, but for love and attention, too. He adores being close to his people and is happiest curled up in a lap or soaking up affection. He's eager to please, even-tempered, and has been described by the veterinary staff as a "super sweet, happy boy." Like many former strays, Petey hasn't quite forgotten that food can be scarce. He's an enthusiastic little trash scavenger, so keeping tempting snacks and garbage out of reach will help set him up for success. With consistency and patience, he's continuing to learn what it means to be a cherished family member. 🐾 Looking for a Loving Home for Sunny Sunny is a 6-year-old medium-sized Goldendoodle who is as sweet and loving as they come. She absolutely adores people, lives for pets and attention, and has never met a stranger. Everywhere she goes, people comment on how cute she is and what a wonderful personality she has. Sunny is happiest when she’s near her people, soaking up affection and being part of the family. She is healthy, affectionate, and has brought us so much joy over the years. Because I want to be completely honest and find the right home for her, Sunny does have food/resource-guarding issues. If she gets hold of food or something she considers high value, she can become protective of it. We have generally managed this successfully by simply leaving her alone when she has food. However, she recently bit a guest who attempted to take food away from her. I believe Sunny would do best with an experienced dog owner who understands resource guarding and is willing to train her.

Story

We rescued Hank a couple months ago. He was abandoned on the side of the road. We have taken him to the vet a couple times to get him checked out and all of his vaccines up to date. According to the vet they think he is a Labrador/Rottweiler mix about 1.5-1.7years old. He is an awesome dog, but our work schedules do not allow for an environment that is best for him. He needs to be around people or pets not in a kennel for 9-10 hours a day. He is very sweet and friendly. He hardly ever barks too. He is also house trained, only one accident in two months time!
