Story
Bailey is a happy, affectionate boy with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging! He’s playful, loyal, and always ready to brighten your day — whether it’s with a goofy grin, a cuddle on the couch, or a game of fetch in the yard. This sweet boy adores people and has so much love to give. He’d thrive with a family who can include him in their daily lives — walks, adventures, or simply quiet evenings together. Bailey’s favorite things are belly rubs, squeaky toys, and being around the humans he loves most. He is not good with other animals. Sadly, Bailey needs to find a new home due to changes in his current family’s circumstances. It’s a difficult decision, but what he needs most is a loving forever home where he’ll be cherished and cared for, just as he deserves.

Story
Milo is a very sweet dog. We can't have him due to relocation. We are just looking for a good home for him and no fee will be charged. He just got all his shots (including heart warm, flea, and ticks prevention) in November and it will be good for a year. He is house trained and loves kids.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cane is a beautiful German Shepherd mix looking for a family to love him. He is a fun loving boy who absolutely loves to zoom around the yard, tossing toys in the air then catching them. He is a super smart, affectionate, high energy boy who would love to belong to an active family with a big yard for him to run in. He would be perfect for an owner who loves to run since he can definitely keep up! Cane is crate trained, knows his basic commands and is working on his manners since he still has a couple of residual puppy behaviors. He is 2 years old, neutered, up to date on vetting, on heartworm meds and is ready for his new family. Cane is super sweet; however, due to size and his exuberance for play, a home with no small children or small pets is best. If you think Cane might perfect for your family and would like to meet him, please contact us.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 25, 2024, 9:31 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.ATDR 3764 6.25.25 UPDATE FROM BELLA'S PET SITTER: Bella is my houseguest while her foster mom is on vacation. She accepted me quickly and is very loving. She LOVES toys and snuggling in your lap. Bella can be a little bossy with the resident dogs, so she might be best as an only dog or maybe one other submissive dog in the household. She would be the perfect companion for someone looking for a calm, sweet little girl to snuggle with.                                  *****Meet Bella. She's a sweet senior chiweenie girl who came to ATDR via another rescue group. Bella was dumped at BARC by her owner, who requested she be euthanized. Bella was flea infested, missing patches of fur and was heavy heartworm positive. It hurts our hearts to know Bella was in that state of neglect as an 'owned' pet. She wasn't a stray. Bella has a grade 4 (out of 6) heart murmur but that doesn't slow her down one bit. Bella is full of spunk. Bella will finish her last heartworm treatment in early February and will be ready for a forever home of her own toward the end of that month. Bella is a little doll. Her foster mom says she loves having her. She is crate and house trained. Bella enjoys sunbathing outside. Even though it appears she prefers women, she enjoys being with people and gets along well with other dogs. Bella is a cuddle bug. She will make a fantastic little lap dog for some lucky adopter after she’s on the road to better health! Her ideal home would be with someone who is retired or works from home looking for a warm pup to share their comfortable chair or sofa with! Bella is a precious girl who loves her person! Please consider opening your home and your heart to this special senior baby and submit an adoption application for Bella! She’ll be the best little friend and companion you could ever hope to find! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.ATDR 3883Meet Cannoli, a beautiful petite black and tan piebald female about five years old. Cannoli is an active girl who loves other dogs and plays hard with the other dachshunds in her foster home. She grew up as an only dog and is finally learning to play and chase around the yard to her heart's content. Cannoli was surrendered when she started to feel teritorial in her own home and exhibited some nippy behavior with the husband and young teenaged son. She is a sweet girl, but it takes her a while to trust and we consider her slow to warm up to strangers. Once she knows you, she will stick like glue to her person.   We don't recommend a home with children; we feel that she has been through a lot in her short life that probably an adult only home is best. Other dogs are a plus and help her settle in and adjust. Stay tuned as we learn more about our new little pie girl. She will require patience and understanding wherever she goes!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 13, 2025, 9:57 pm

Story
Meet 2-year-old girl Daisy💛 She enjoys being outdoors and soaking up fresh air. She has a calm, affectionate side and bonds closely with the people she trusts. She loves spending time outside, whether it’s lounging in the yard or going for walks. She would do best in an adult-only home or a home without young children, as she can become overwhelmed around kids. With the right environment, patience, and understanding, she has so much love to give and will make a wonderful companion. She deserves a home where she can feel safe, relaxed, and understood.
