Story
Rudy is an approximately 9-year-old, 15-pound sweetheart with the kind of gentle soul that makes you want to sit down and stay awhile. He came to rescue after being found running loose, and despite posters and social media posts, no one ever came forward to claim him. Their loss is truly someone else’s gain. Rudy is a total couch potato who loves cuddling and being close. He is calm, affectionate, and incredibly easy to have around. He does well with pottying outside as long as he’s taken out regularly and settles into a routine with no fuss. He gets along well with other dogs, ignores cats, and travels beautifully in the car. He walks on leash and enjoys taking his time to explore the world at his own pace. Rudy has limited vision in his right eye, but it does not slow him down or impact his quality of life. He navigates just fine and goes about his day happily. Rudy is a good eater, especially when treats are involved, and has a preference for canned food. Overall, he is a low-maintenance, loving companion who truly just wants a warm lap, a comfy couch, and someone to share snacks with. Rudy is fully vetted, including a full exam, neuter, dental, vaccinations, deworming, and fecal testing. He is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Rudy is located in Santa Fe, TX, and his adoption fee is $450. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com

So named for his excited kangaroo hops, Buddy-Roo is a sweet young pup looking for a loving home just in time for Valentine's Day! This boy is calm and quiet in his kennel at the shelter but absolutely comes to life when he's in a yard - he just loves to be included! Like an uncoordinated toddler who hasn't figure out how to work his limbs, Buddy-Roo bounds around the play yard thoroughly entertaining himself with his antics. He's very curious about everything the world has to offer and is eager to learn how to be the best version of himself! He's quite the goofy guy who hasn't figured out how to play fetch yet but enjoys chasing his tail and tripping over his own legs. If your life is lacking laughter, Buddy-Roo is the answer! Come and meet this silly 'roo today!

Ranger belonged to our son who became very ill and we are re-homing for him. We are thoroughly enjoying Ranger; however, we are anxious for him to develop a relationship with his new family. He needs a family with other pets and a yard to play - he loves playing outside. He is very loving and affectionate and loves his naps. He is not a dominant dog.

Story
Say hello to sweet Scarlette! This beautiful young lady comes with all the bells and whistles: potty-trained, kennel-trained, fully house-broken, good with other dogs, cats, and kids, and she knows a few tricks to boot! Scarlette is a huge snuggler and a bit of a lazy lady. Toys and playtime are fun but she much prefers cuddling on the couch (or in bed) with her person! She is highly treat-motivated and quite the talker. She can also catch treats mid-air! Indeed, the only one in the world with a bad word for Scarlette is her pancreas, and that's because it's cranky and dysfunctional. But not to worry! It's nothing a little special powder in daily meals can't keep in line! So why not give Scarlette--and her fussy pancreas--a shot at forever?
