Story
Hello! I'm Tucker! I am a big, sweet boy and around a year old. My breed is a little bit of a mystery but maybe I have some Bull Terrier or Hound in me. No matter what my breed is I definitely have some cool colors to my fur! I was found wandering the cold streets but now I'm safe and sound in a loving foster home. I am potty trained, crate trained, and currently working on my manners with my foster dad, I know "Sit"! I am young and large so a home without little kids might be best so that I don't accidentally knock them over. I get along great with other dogs! I am looking for my furever home...maybe you have a spot for me? If you are interested in me, please send an email to us! Applications can be found on our website at secondchancepets.org under the "Forms" tab. Please complete and return to us for review! All dogs typically show on Saturdays at the Petco in Clear Lake as well. 2410 Bay Area Blvd near Space Center.   Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home. The adoption fee for a dog is $190 (or $245 for puppies). All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas.November 3, 2024, 11:08 am

Story
Hey there, I'm Orion! I'm a puppy with a zest for life. I'm playful, energetic, and a bit of a goofball. But don't let that fool you - I'm also incredibly smart and brave. I even battled Parvo and came out a victor! My journey to the shelter and into a foster home was quite an adventure. I was living a normal puppy life when I was suddenly imbued with superpowers. I could hear whispers from miles away, run faster than a speeding car, and leap over tall fences in a single bound! But, like all superheroes, I had to face my nemesis - Parvo. It was a tough battle, but with my indomitable spirit, I triumphed. After my victory, I found myself here, waiting for my next adventure. If you're looking for a companion who's full of energy, has a knack for fun, and a heart full of bravery, then I'm your guy! Let's start our adventure together! If you are interested in him, please send an email to SCP! Applications can be found on our website at secondchancepets.org under the "Forms" tab. Please complete and return to us for review! Story
Meet Lola, a gem of a dog - super sweet, loving and loyal. She was found on the street one cold wet night, starving.  With a heart as big as her playful spirit, she loves people and wants to be with her people.  She would be good with older children as smaller more active kids may overwhelm her. She does well on a leash but will stop and check to make sure you are following her.  She is a quick to learn and eager to please you.  She does the cutest high fives!  She gets along well with other dogs, making her the perfect addition to any family or fur-friend squad. She will guard her food bowl if another dog comes by using her head to push the other dog away.  She loves head rubs and will talk to you in her own adorable way as she gets rubs.  She is house trained and gives you several signs when she wants to go outside to potty, including going to the door, or if you are sitting in a chair, she will grab you hand in her mouth or barks at you.  Lola's funny antics and loving nature will keep you smiling and laughing all day, and she will be your loyal companion through thick and thin. Come and meet this wonderful girl and give her the forever home she deserves! Lola is a special needs dog and will need an owner who is able to care for her current and future heath needs. Lola survived a bad heartworm infection that has left her with heart issues that will require continued medication and veterinary checkups. Like many French bulldogs, Lola is also susceptible to other ongoing health issues. We expect Lola will live a long and happy life with proper care.  If you are interested in her, please send an email to SCP! Story
Hello, this is Emmett and he's a young male dog with lots of love to give! He was recently rescued from an overcrowded home where he did not get the care and socialization he needed. Emmett has come a long way since being rescued, but he is still nervous and easily scared at times, especially around new people, situations or crowds. He will need a quiet home and a patient and experienced owner that can give him the time and space he needs to adjust and feel safe. He will need a home without children. He is very dog friendly and would do great in a home with other dogs or cats. Emmett is very good friends with his foster sister Remi, a Chihuahua mix who is also available for adoption. If you are interested in him, please send an email to SCP! Applications can be found on our website at secondchancepets.org under the "Forms" tab. Please complete and return to us for review!
