Story
I've fostered more than 50 dogs, and Charlie Brown has quietly become one of my favorites. When animal control found him, he was scared, underweight, and unsure of the world. The first few nights in my home, he was even afraid of the television. Watching him slowly realize he was finally safe has been one of the most rewarding foster experiences I've had. Today, Charlie has completely blossomed. After a short walk or 10–15 minutes of playing with his favorite toys, he's happiest curled up beside you on the couch while you watch TV. He's the perfect balance of playful and relaxed. He is a dog who enjoys having fun but doesn't need constant activity. Charlie is incredibly gentle and submissive. He gets along beautifully with my other foster dogs, even those with more dominant personalities, and he has shown no interest in chasing my cats. He loves carrying toys around the house, chewing on bones, riding in the car, and simply being wherever his people are. He's also one of the easiest foster dogs I've had to live with. Charlie is crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is comfortable staying in his crate during a typical workday. Because he's so well-mannered, I think he'd do just as well in an apartment as he would in a home with a yard. And let's be honest...have you seen him? With one beautiful blue/brown eye and one ear that always seems to stand at attention while the other flops over, Charlie has a look that's just as unique as his personality. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who's already learned how wonderful life can be, Charlie Brown is waiting to meet you. Charlie Brown's Highlights ✔ House trained ✔ Crate trained ✔ Great with other dogs ✔ Cat friendly ✔ Likely kid friendly (gentle, tolerant, and not touch sensitive) ✔ Walks beautifully on a leash ✔ Low–medium energy ✔ Apartment friendly ✔ Loves car rides ✔ Cuddly couch companion ✔ Loves toys and chew bones ✔ Can be left home during a typical workday Charlie Brown has already overcome so much. Now all he needs is a family to call his own. Local & Nationwide Adoptions Welcome Local adopters are always welcome and encouraged!
