Story
QUALITIES: Enthusiastic, friendly, playful, affectionate NEEDS WORK: Energetic, walking, escaping Baby is a young lady, estimated between 1-2 years old. She was found as a stray, wandering in a Cypress neighborhood. Her foster mom could not turn a blind eye to this pretty girl who needed help. Baby gets along really well with the foster's 2 dogs in the house, especially her big hound dog. They have turned the family room into a WWE sports arena. Foster's son's dog, a Husky, visits often and Baby plays well with him too. She would do really well as a companion dog as she has energy to burn at this age. Once playtime is over, Baby settles down quietly to nap or rest. Baby is gentle and well mannered with children. She walks well and is learning about house manners from her housemates. She has escaped from her trial home but did not go far and foster is working on her front door training. Baby is a beautiful, healthy dog, HW negative and spayed. If you are interested in meeting this sweet girl please contact Nod2016dog@gmail.com to set up a time. She would love to show you how sweet she is. Located in Houston, Texas

Gumball is a 10 year old brindle, American Staffordshire Terrier. He's potty trained and currently living in boarding. He is good with other dogs and really needs a home to show him some love. Due to some scaring on his neck, he looks like he was living on a chain, but he shows no signs of trauma from his past life. Story
Shilah is quiet, gentle, easy, loving and smart Shilah has no qualities that need to be worked on Meet Ms. Shilah, a gentle spirit whose story begins in abandonment. On the streets for a while, Shilah made her way instinctively to the kindest person who would help her feel safe and loved. She was very timid at first, but cautiously trusted more each day. Foster offered just what she needed; kindness, nourishment, and safety. One day she decided it was time to go inside and meet everyone. Each tentative step moved her towards healing and since that time Shilah has blossomed. Shilah is a Shepherd/Catahoula mix. She is 8 years old, but don’t let that discourage you. This sweet girl has lots of life and love to give! She is spayed and HW negative. She has no health issues, other than some arthritis in her back legs. A good joint supplement has helped this tremendously. Shilah enjoys the company of her four housemates, their daily walk and a good run in an open field. She is not a barker, but instead will let you know if she needs something with a gentle howl or a paw asking you to listen. She likes retiring early for the night and laying her head on your knee for a pet. Foster says of Shilah, 'she is a sweet, super easy girl who’s very well behaved, social, and doesn’t have an ounce of aggression towards any person or thing'. If you are looking for a quiet girl to lay next to you or a gentle dog to add to your family, please reach out to meet this gem. Shilah would love a family who will offer cuddles, belly rubs and a happy home. Located in Houston, TX. Please contact nod2016dog@gmail.com for more information on this special girl.

Story
Kenneth will mesmerize you when you look into his gold colored eyes! Don't let his prematurely white "beard" fool you, he is a young, happy go-lucky kind of guy that just wants to be around you, giving and getting love and affection. Kenneth enjoys daily walks and zooming around the backyard. He does well in a kennel when alone, but prefers to be by your side when you are home. He is a really good bed warmer! He does well with other female dogs of like size, when introduced properly. Is casually okay with other male dogs but he has not been tested off leash. Kenneth is up to date on all his vaccinations, neutered and heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application on our website at www.hhfrescue.org.
