Peter is a beautiful puppy with a great personality. He is getting lots of socialization with people and dogs in his foster home. Due to their breed and size a single-family home would be best and kids over 8 and someone who is home or works from home would be ideal._________________________________________________________________________Adoption Donation for Peter is $ 525.00WANT TO MEET PeterThe first step would be for you to go to our website at www.aear.org and then to the “Adopting a Pet” page to read about our Adoption Process which will answer many of your questions and then to fill out an Adoption Application. Also, please visit our very active Facebook Page for updates on Peter and our other adoptable pets with AEAR - www.facebook.com/aear.orgAll our animals available for adoption are living in foster homes. Story
Suzie was kept outdoors by her previous owners. After an altercation with another dog, her leg was broken and her owners were unable to pay for surgery. They thought euthanasia was their only option. The animal hospital reached out to us, and thanks to our supporters, we were able to rescue Suzie and get her the needed surgery. She is recovering beautifully in a loving foster home. She is a very happy girl who enjoys rolling in the grass and getting lots of attention from her foster parents. Suzie is adjusting well to being an indoor dog. Her best days are definitely ahead of her._________________________________________________________________________Adoption Donation for Suzie is $ 525.00WANT TO MEET SuzieThe first step would be for you to go to our website at www.aear.org and then to the “Adopting a Pet” page to read about our Adoption Process which will answer many of your questions and then to fill out an Adoption Application. Also, please visit our very active Facebook Page for updates on Suzie and our other adoptable pets with AEAR - www.facebook.com/aear.orgAll our animals available for adoption are living in foster homes. ALINA Available for Foster or Adoption FAST FACTSFemale, Medium Mixed Breed, 48lbs, 3 years oldLoving, Playful, LoyalMedium EnergyPeople FriendlyThrives in a Cat - free environmentParticular about canine companionsCrate TrainedLearning proper bathroom etiquette Meet Alina: The Survivor with a Heart of Gold Hi there, I'm Alina, and I've got a story to tell! My journey started in a bit of a rough patch, but thanks to some caring souls, I'm ready to start a brand new chapter.  Once upon a time, the Chicago Police found me during an eviction, all alone in a home with no food or water. It wasn't the best situation, but they scooped me up and brought me to Chicago Animal Control. When they weighed me, I was a mere 35 pounds, definitely on the thin side for a dog like me.  But fate had other plans for me. The wonderful intake team at Care spotted my calm demeanor in my kennel and decided to give me a chance. They saw something special in me, and I was overjoyed to show them just how clever and loving I could be. Before I knew it, I was on my way to Care, ready to start my journey to recovery.  Thanks to the love and care I received at Care, along with some delicious food and the occasional boiled egg treat (yum!), I've put on some healthy weight. Now I'm a sturdy 48 pounds, with a bit more to go to reach my ideal size.   So, what's Alina all about? Well, I love all  high squeaky toys and playing ball. I may not have mastered the art of bringing the ball back yet, but I'm working on it! While I'm not a fan of cats, I do enjoy watching rabbits from a distance. And when it comes to leash manners, I've got that down pat.   As for other dogs, I'm still learning the ropes. I need a proper introduction and some guidance, but I'm eager to make friends and become the best version of myself.   But above all, I'm a people pup through and through. I adore humans and dream of finding a loving family to call my own forever. With my genuine love and endless kisses, I'm ready to bring joy and companionship to my forever home. Are you ready to open your heart to a survivor like me? Let's make some memories together!   I have been spayed and microchipped and have had a full veterinary checkup and vaccines. My adoption fee is $325. For more information or if you would like to meet me, please fill out an adoption survey at carenorthshore.org/dog-adoption-survey Love and Licks Alina  May 25, 2024, 12:48 pm

Story
Daniel is a handsome Husky Akita mix who is looking for his forever home. He is the perfect size for cuddling up on the couch or going on outdoor adventures.  Daniel's friendly and outgoing personality makes him a hit with everyone he meets. He gets along great with kids, other dogs, and loves meeting new people. His favorite pastimes include going on walks, playing with his dog friends, car rides and snuggling up with his humans. He is also convinced he is a lapdog and who are we to tell him otherwise !!  If you're looking for a chill social butterfly to join your family, Daniel is the perfect match. He thrives in environments where he can interact with others, so he would do best in a home with another pup or two. Whether you're going out for a meal at a dog-friendly restaurant or taking a leisurely stroll through the park, Daniel will be by your side, wagging his tail and making friends wherever he goes. Daniel is house and leash trained as well making him a low-maintenance addition to any family. Daniel was named in honor of the Good Samaritan who found him and another dog by the side of a busy road and kept them company for hours until a rescue team could reach them.  Now, he's ready to pay that kindness forward with lots of cuddles and puppy kisses! If you're interested in adding Daniel to your family, please consider giving him a loving forever home. He will repay you with endless love, loyalty, and companionship.    Follow us on Facebook for additional updates and sneak peeks of new dogs! https://www.facebook.com/reachrescue ##1778122##

Story
I’m no couch potato, at least when I first wake up. I’m the perfect encouragement for you to keep fit and get fresh air every day! Ready, then let’s go for a walk, maybe even a little run or have some fun in the yard. This should of course be followed by a nice little breakfast while you have your cup of coffee. I can then relax until you get back home, ready to welcome you with some of the best kisses. Then as you look into my puppy blue eyes, you will feel this energy encourage you to go for our before dinner walk. After dinner walk would be fine too. We can then finish the day, lounging on the couch together.
