Yes, I have a pretty face, but I’m also smart as a whip, which means my forever family should have experience with active breeds that need both physical and mental stimulation. Training and agility classes would be idea for me and I love going on nature hikes and swimming in the lakes and nearby dog parks. I also have a keen sense of my surroundings; I’m attentive and curious about new people and places. My ideal home should include a fenced yard. I love to run and play outside, enjoy long walks, rides in the car, and can also hang out at home with people. If you’re active, plan to take me with you! A balance of outside time and being with people is a perfect mix for me, but I’m nothappy when left at home alone. I’m at my best when I can count on being with my loving family. My favorite indoor pastime is chewing a strong Nylabone because it helps manage my young teeth. I also love tennis balls and tough squeaky toys. Going to doggie daycare is a real treat because I really enjoy playing with other dogs. I’ve been given high marks for good behavior at daycare. I would be happy as a sole dog with a single person or a family that has solid dog experience. If there’s another dog in the house, my best companion is a soft-hearted adult retriever or retriever-like dog between 2-6 years old. I like adult female dogs, too, but they can be put off bymy good looks, charm, and sharp mind. Yes, they’re jealous and don’t always like me. But, I keep trying because I like them. I am spayed and microchipped along with a full veterinary checkup and vaccines. My adoption fee is $325. Story
Luna was born December 11, 2021. We got her a friend as soon as she was able to leave her mom. She has been a very good dog to us up until we had my daughter. She has become very jealous and needs more attention then we can give her. She is very loving and enjoys long walks. She needs to be in a home with older kids and someone who can take time to love her and train her. She does well with other dogs. We have a sibling of hers from another litter. They get along for the most part until it comes down to their food. They will argue, not necessarily fight, but she can get food aggressive towards other pets and small children. She does really well with my 14 year old son as well as other older children. She just doesn’t do well with toddlers.

Story
Meet Timber..... While Timber could be mistaken for a small wolf, he’s a Husky-Shepherd Mix. A a very smart and handsome boy!! Timber enjoys playing and running; he’d prefer to run and play with a human companion rather than another dog. He LOVES people and is good with most everyone. Timber’s estimated date of birth is July 4 2021. He’s about 60 lbs. of energy! An ideal home for Timber, and one in which he’d thrive and his family would forever enjoy his companionship is one experienced with the Husky (or a similar) breed, has the time to commit to a young large-breed energetic boy, and a willingness to set boundaries and guidelines to ensure Timber evolves into a perfect family member. Timber is a quick learner and is sure to make progress toward his behavior goals pretty quickly! Timber would love a secure, fenced yard, and possibly being an only dog so he can receive ALL the attention!! Timber is fully vetted, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm prevention, neutered and microchipped. If you might be interested in adding this handsome boy to your family please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895

Story
Terra is a very sweet, cute Husky Mix, possibly Husky-Shepherd. Her estimated date of birth is July 4, 2021; at the time of this post, she is about 1 ½ years old. She weighs about 50 lbs. Terra is typical Husky through-and-through. She is active, somewhat high-strung, and loves being outside. When she is by herself, she is overall well-behaved…given she’s a younger Husky. She can get carried away and become obnoxious when engaging with other dogs. As such, she is most likely to do best being an only dog. She is not a dog-park dog. While playful and energetic, Terra is also very affectionate. She enjoys people and does pretty well when meeting people she does not know. As is the case with all young, larger dogs, Terra would greatly benefit from obedience training which can also be a bonding experience with her new family. No doubt, Terra has the potential to evolve into the perfect pup, but is looking for that family willing to commit to her and provide her the forever home she deserves. Terra is fully vetted, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed & microchipped and on year-round heartworm prevention. To learn how you can add this cute young girl to your family, please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895. BAARK is located in the Chicago area and adopt our dogs only local to the area.

Story
Meet Kojack, the husky heartthrob with the personality of a giant teddy bear. Kojack (Koji) is an absolute goofball and a lover of both humans and other dogs. He, overall, has a very well-rounded dog with a personality and demeanor that can’t be beat! Kojack is dog friendly! He does extremely well keeping up with other adult dogs, but is also gentle and patient with young puppies. He has a mellow, laid back attitude and loves to just flop into your lap for a good cuddle. He is eager to learn for some delicious treats! He would love to be your co-pilot for car rides! He would love a home with an active owner because he loves to walk or hike with his person. Kojack is housebroken, crate trained, and working on his basic obedience commands with his foster mom. While he has been taught to leave them alone, he would do best in a home without cats.March 1, 2024, 1:50 pm
