Daniel is a sweet, loving guy who also has an adventurous side that loves to explore and wander.  He enjoys going for walks and spending time in the backyard with his people or taking car rides to explore more of the world around him.  Daniel is looking for a family or individual who will take him out on adventures to placate his wanderlust and then snuggle with him at home. He will need a family willing to continue working with him on training.  He would also benefit from having other dogs around. Daniel was named in honor of the Good Samaritan who found him and another dog by the side of a busy road and kept them company for hours until a rescue team could reach them.  Now, he's ready to pay that kindness forward with lots of cuddles and puppy kisses! Story
I’m no couch potato, at least when I first wake up. I’m the perfect encouragement for you to keep fit and get fresh air every day! Ready, then let’s go for a walk, maybe even a little run or have some fun in the yard. This should of course be followed by a nice little breakfast while you have your cup of coffee. I can then relax until you get back home, ready to welcome you with some of the best kisses. Then as you look into my puppy blue eyes, you will feel this energy encourage you to go for our before dinner walk. After dinner walk would be fine too. We can then finish the day, lounging on the couch together.

Story
Terra is a very sweet, cute Husky Mix, possibly Husky-Shepherd. Her estimated date of birth is July 4, 2021; at the time of this post, she is about 1 ½ years old. She weighs about 50 lbs. Terra is typical Husky through-and-through. She is active, somewhat high-strung, and loves being outside. When she is by herself, she is overall well-behaved…given she’s a younger Husky. She can get carried away and become obnoxious when engaging with other dogs. As such, she is most likely to do best being an only dog. She is not a dog-park dog. While playful and energetic, Terra is also very affectionate. She enjoys people and does pretty well when meeting people she does not know. As is the case with all young, larger dogs, Terra would greatly benefit from obedience training which can also be a bonding experience with her new family. No doubt, Terra has the potential to evolve into the perfect pup, but is looking for that family willing to commit to her and provide her the forever home she deserves. Terra is fully vetted, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed & microchipped and on year-round heartworm prevention. To learn how you can add this cute young girl to your family, please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895. BAARK is located in the Chicago area and adopt our dogs only local to the area.

Story
Meet Timber..... While Timber could be mistaken for a small wolf, he’s a Husky-Shepherd Mix. A a very smart and handsome boy!! Timber enjoys playing and running; he’d prefer to run and play with a human companion rather than another dog. He LOVES people and is good with most everyone. Timber’s estimated date of birth is July 4 2021. He’s about 60 lbs. of energy! An ideal home for Timber, and one in which he’d thrive and his family would forever enjoy his companionship is one experienced with the Husky (or a similar) breed, has the time to commit to a young large-breed energetic boy, and a willingness to set boundaries and guidelines to ensure Timber evolves into a perfect family member. Timber is a quick learner and is sure to make progress toward his behavior goals pretty quickly! Timber would love a secure, fenced yard, and possibly being an only dog so he can receive ALL the attention!! Timber is fully vetted, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm prevention, neutered and microchipped. If you might be interested in adding this handsome boy to your family please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895

Story
Lilac is a lovely, friendly and very much husky acting Siberian Husky. This gal has had a litter of pups and enjoyed living with her babies. She is very dog friendly but should not be with tiny breeds. Lilac is a typical husky that loves to run, pull, play, and enjoys the great outdoors. She also is a people dog and enjoys being around her people. Lilac is not a dog that can be left unnattended in a yard, she is a great escape artist and will break out to find people to spend time with her.  Here at the rescue, we have been working on Lilac's recall, obedience and crate training. She is learning and doing very well. She definitely needs to go to a home that wants to spend time with her and is more than willing to continue her training.  Lilac loves kids and has lived with children of all ages and enjoys being around them. Lilac cannot be with cats due to prey drive or small pets, she is great with medium to larger dogs and can very easily live with a housemate.  Call us at 847-338-3252 * Email us at : Info@redemptionroadinc.org * Follow us on Instagram:Redemptionroadinc * Facebook: Redemption Road Rescue Rehab Inc. Aspen is living in a foster home. Please submit an application from our website and/or email dogs@heartlandanimalshelter.org to learn if you are a match!
