She loves humans and is great with her foster`s grandchildren. She`s also great with other dogs (after a proper introduction). Cat compatibility is unknown. Rigley came to AHF after the sudden passing of her owner. She is very devoted to her people and listens really well. She`s a cuddler and your second shadow. This awesome pup has had zero accidents in the house and is crate trained; she likes to go in her crate even when she doesn`t have to. She is well-behaved in the car and has good leash manners. Blanca is at our shelter. Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet her during open hours! Scroll through her pictures to see her cute videos! Beautiful "Blanca with the Blue Eyes" is a perfect medium sized husky gal who comes to us from Texas. She is from a region of southern Texas very close to the border with Mexico, and with a shortage of resources for the many dogs in need. Blanca found her way to a nice rescue just south of Austin, and after spending a few months there she made her way up to us. We are so happy to have her here! Blanca is so well-behaved and smart. She keeps her kennel clean and waits to do her business until she is on a walk, which bodes well for house training. She is also quiet (a rare quality in a husky, which makes us suspicious... just kidding!) and exceptionally gentle and sweet. She greeted a corporate volunteer group like they were old friends, cuddling and rolling over for belly rubs! This girl knows how to work a crowd. Blanca has done well meeting other dogs in playgroup, and is a social and friendly pup all around. We hope you will come meet her this week! Blanca's adoption fee is $300. This animal is spayed and up to date on core vaccines. Blanca is Heartworm positive and is undergoing treatment with us. Heartland will cover the cost of treatment until she is Heartworm negative. Heartworm is not contagious to other dogs or people; it is a mosquito-borne disease. It is both preventable and curable! Once cured, there are no long term health effects associated with having Heartworm. Blanca is on a 28 day course of antibiotics, after which she will receive three injections to treat her Heartworm, all to take place at our shelter with our veterinarian, at no cost to an adopter. Injection 1: 4/7/26 Injection 2: 5/12/26 Injection 3: 5/13/26

Bruce. A male (not neutered) 2 &1/2 year old smaller Husky mix. Mom is Boxer, Dad is Husky/Shepherd. Unfortunately, due to major lifestyle changes, (first I lost my job then an ugly divorce, and the ex refuses to take him) I need to re-home him. He is actually a very good dog and knows almost all commands. especially good at drop it, among other commands too. Completely house trained. He will whine at the door or bark non stop to go out. Bruce must go to a home with at least one other dog (or more). He has been exposed to other dogs quite literally his entire life, and he doesnt do well by himself at all. He does well with kids and dogs of any size. He is the perfect family dog, just needs to be able to run free in a big home with a big yard. It breaks my heart to have to re-home him but I have no other choice. Again he needs a home with at least 1 other dog. If you have more than 1, even better. He is crate trained although he doesn't like being in one for an extended period.

Princess is kind of a misleading name for me.... Cause I am a QUEEN!! I love all my "subjects" four legged and two legged :) i came from the pound, where I was kind of like a Cinderella princess..... I looked very "ruff".... my eyes were dull and scared and my fur was not white or floofy, like it is now! And boy was I SKINNY :( But NOT ANYMORE!! I am now the Princess I was meant to be! I have a glowing white floofy coat, I have the confidence and love to give out and receive... AND I am ready for you and your family to love FuREVER!! I will give you and your family so much love and fun for life! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
