Story
Meet Andy ❄️🐾 4 years old • Female • Husky Andy is a spirited, affectionate Husky who doesn’t let missing eyes slow her down! At 4 years old, she’s full of personality, curiosity, and love to give. Andy recently road-tripped from Mexico with several other adoptable dogs and headed straight into a loving foster home with other blind and special needs dogs, where she’s thriving and showing off her playful, confident spirit. Why Andy is special: Spirited, affectionate, and resilient Confident and adaptable, thriving despite missing eyes Perfect for a family ready to match her playful energy and devotion Good to know: 🐾 We can cat-test Andy upon request—just ask! 🏷️ If an attribute tag isn’t listed, it doesn’t mean she doesn’t have that trait—it just means we haven’t seen or confirmed it yet. Andy is looking for a home that can give her love, patience, and companionship—and in return, she’ll offer endless joy, affection, and resilience. 💕

Story
**Meet Mazapán!** Mazapán is a sweet, playful Husky mix who made her way from Mexico and is ready to find a loving forever home. She’s full of personality, affection, and potential, and would thrive with a family willing to continue helping her grow and learn. Mazapán loves to play and is always up for a game of tug-of-war, fetch, or any activity that lets her have fun and burn off some energy. She’s incredibly affectionate and enjoys pets, belly rubs, and spending time with her people. She’s also very friendly with everyone she meets, including strangers. On walks, she’ll usually ignore people unless they greet her first—then she’s happy to say hello! She’s been making great progress with her manners and has gotten much better about keeping all four paws on the ground. This smart girl is eager to learn. She already knows commands like “sit” and “touch,” and she has shown that she’s highly trainable and capable of learning much more with consistent training. She is completely crate trained and has done very well with house training. She had a few accidents when she first arrived, likely due to the stress of adjusting to a new environment, but she understands that potty time happens outside and happily waits for walks. Like many young, energetic dogs, Mazapán is still working through a few challenges. She can become restless indoors, even after exercise, and would likely benefit from a home with a yard where she can enjoy more off-leash outdoor time. This may also improve as she settles into a permanent home and routine. Mazapán can be a little mouthy during play and sometimes chews on things she shouldn’t, such as furniture, cords, or her leash. None of this is aggressive behavior—she’s simply still learning appropriate ways to play and entertain herself. She may also bark occasionally when she wants attention or is frustrated, particularly if she’s crated while her person is in another room, but she is not generally a very vocal dog. When it comes to other dogs, Mazapán tends to get very excited. She sometimes struggles to stay calm when passing dogs on walks or during introductions. While she hasn’t successfully played with another dog yet, she has shown that she can ignore dogs at times, and her excitement appears manageable with continued training and positive experiences. Mazapán is also very enthusiastic about mealtime. She can become a little impatient when food is involved, but she has not shown any signs of resource guarding. Overall, Mazapán is a loving, playful, and intelligent dog with a wonderful foundation. With continued guidance, training, and plenty of opportunities for exercise and enrichment, she has all the makings of an amazing companion.

Story
Meet Coco, a handsome older Husky mix from Texas with a wise face, gentle eyes, and a calm, easygoing spirit. He was found homeless at a campground, where he had clearly been on his own for some time, yet he has remained remarkably sweet and trusting. Despite his uncertain past, Coco has a quiet resilience and a loving nature that shines through once he feels safe and comfortable. He enjoys peaceful walks, soft beds, and simply being near kind people who offer him reassurance and care. Coco is looking for a forever home where he can finally leave the hardships behind and enjoy his golden years surrounded by warmth, stability, and love. This special boy still has so much companionship to give and is ready to be someone’s loyal best friend.THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN SAVING A LIFE!Volunteers and staff are excited to assist you in the adoption process!
