Story
Asher is your future adventure buddy with movie-star looks and a goofy grin! At 2 years old and 60lbs, Asher is a stunning Siberian Husky with the energy and personality to match his striking appearance. Asher absolutely lives for the outdoors. Whether it’s running, playing, exploring, or just zooming around the yard, being outside is his happy place. He would thrive with an active family ready to include him in adventures and give him plenty of exercise and enrichment. Previous Husky experience is a big plus, as he’ll do best with someone who understands the needs of this intelligent and energetic breed — but it’s not required. He’s open to meeting dogs around his size or larger and kids over the age of 14.------------------------------If you are interested in adopting, please visit Women`s Animal Center to fill out an application in person. Story
Carson aka Flash is still waiting for his perfect person. He came in as a stray last JUNE! That`s to long for any dog to wait but it is an absolute mystery as to why a stunner like this would sit. Carson is a comedian in a fur coat. He will give you hours of entertainment and he has his breed to thank for that. Thanks to the volunteer group the mystery of his interesting looks has been solved with a DNA test. Beautiful looks and comedic personality along with his high drive is attributed to........81% husky, 19% malamute!!If your familiar with these breeds, then you`ll totally understand this boy. We will not place him in a hope with small children due to his rough play and high energy. Unsure how he will do with another dog, but we do require a meet and greet if you already have a dog in the home. Due to his prey drive we don`t recommend small dog or cats for this guy. Carson does keep a clean kennel and doesn`t protest a wire crate, so we suspect Housebroken and crate trained. Come meet this boy if this guy sounds like a dog you would enjoy.

Story
Teddy was adopted as a puppy and what should have been the start of a happy life quickly turned into something heartbreaking. He was found tied up and abandoned in a parking lot. Teddy was brought to the safety of a local shelter by the humane Society and, instead of getting the fresh start he deserved, his adopter sued to get him back. That litigation placed Teddy on hold as unavailable for adoption and forced him to spend eight long months of his puppy-hood in a shelter kennel. Teddy did not get to fully experience being a carefree puppy. But he's ready now! Ready for a couch, ready for stability, ready for someone who will never let him feel abandoned again! Despite all he's been through, he is gentle and loving, he is resilient, he still believes in people and he's ready to be someone's dog! Teddy needs a committed forever home, a family, patience and positive guidance to now learn about being the pet he was meant to be and about being in a home where he is loved, safe and cherished. He's already learned about the goodness of people at Dog Boarding at the Beach. They said he's an AMAZING dog. Highly intelligent, playful energy, and a mischievous sparkle in his eye. He has a BIG PERSONALITY and since being at Myrtle Beach he has learned about being the social butterfly. He is one of the favorite playmates on site. He's fun and loves all the dogs as well as his handlers. This pup is so ready for someone to teach him about being in a loving home!

Story
`Meet Bear FKA Barry: A Smiling Siberian Husky/Shepherd mix Looking for His Furrever Home!`Bear FKA Barry is not your average dog - he`s truly one of a kind. This handsome, 4-year-old Siberian Husky/Shepherd mix is ready to leave his past behind and find a loving home to call his own. As a former owner surrender, Bear is looking for someone who will be patient and understanding as he adjusts to his new surroundings.Despite his rough start, Bear still has an infectious smile that never fails to brighten up our shelter. With his solid brown and white coat, he`s a true head-turner and will surely attract lots of attention on your daily walks. At 57 pounds, Bear is the perfect size to cuddle with on the couch or go for a run in the park.Although he may seem busy and full of energy at first, Bear will quickly learn to chill out and be the best companion you could ask for. He`s incredibly loyal and would make the perfect best friend for someone with breed experience. However, it may take him some time to warm up to new people, so slow introductions are recommended. As for other animals, Bear prefers to be the only pet in the household. But don`t worry, he`s great with children and we highly recommend kids 14+ who are dog-savvy. Due to his size and energy, Bear would do best in a household where his younger human siblings can handle his energy and playfulness. Are you ready to bring this overprotective, shy, and loyal boy into your life? Come meet Bear FKA Barry at our shelter and see for yourself what makes him so special. We promise, you won`t be able to resist his charming smile and loving personality. Let`s give Bear the home he deserves!
