Rocky is looking for a home with breed experience, where he can be provided with mental enrichment and an active lifestyle for him. He is best suited for a home with older children (over the age of 12) due to his size, strength, and training level - but may be open to meeting resident pets. Rocky will need to go home with a training plan which will be purchased at the time of adoption and reimbursed after his classes are completed. He is a medium sized dog who weighs 58lbs. Story
Hi!  My name is Chinook and I am looking for a forever home.  I was picked up as a stray by animal control and taken to a scary place called a shelter.  When no one came to claim me and I was being placed on something bad called "the list", a small local rescue pulled me.  A volunteer with that rescue then contacted BCAA to see if they could help me and they said yes!  No one knows for sure exactly what I am a mix of but one guess is something called a "pomsky" ... part husky and part pomeranian; whatever I'm a mix of, my foster mom says I'm a super duper dog with a great personality. I am about 3 years old so past all of that puppy foolishness, and I weigh a little over 50lbs.  I have gotten along with everyone I have met, both two and four-legged, and I always have a happy disposition as I love life.  I have done really well in my crate without any accidents or tearing up of any bedding, but I would prefer to be out and about will let you know not to forget about me if I see or hear you.  I am good on leash and love going on walks as it means we are going on an adventure.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org. Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. Story
`Meet Carson: The Furry Adventurer Looking for His Forever Home!`Carson, the handsome 5-year-old Alaskan Husky, is ready to find his perfect match. This furry boy may have had a rough start as a stray, but he`s now eager to find a loving family to call his own.Carson is a chill and playful pup, who loves nothing more than hopping up on a crate and tucking his butt for some fun zoomies. But don`t be fooled by his playful nature, Carson also enjoys some quiet time and will tuck himself away in his crate for some downtime.Although Carson can be a bit shy at first, it doesn`t take long for his curiosity and friendly nature to shine through. He is a gentle and intelligent boy, with a quirky personality that will keep you on your toes.Carson would do best in a home with breed experience and someone who has the time and patience to let him decompress. He is a bit of a loner and gets nervous in new environments, so slow introductions to new people and animals would be ideal for him.As Carson came in as a stray, we are unsure of how he will do with kids or other animals, but we believe with proper introductions and training, he can thrive in any loving home.So if you are ready for an adventure with a furry companion, come meet Carson today and see if he`s the one for you. He`s patiently waiting for his perfect match to take him home and become part of their family. Don`t hesitate, Carson can`t wait to meet you!

Story
Look at this beauty. Mistletoe was surrendered after a pretty bad fight broke out with her K9 housemate. It took a little while for her to heal but she is ready to move on. Obviously, she will need to be your only pet but she will make sure to give you all the love you’ll need. Children make her nervous so she will need an active adult home. She will make an excellent best friend and she’s beautiful. If you’re looking for a girl like this come in and meet her. You’ll be mesmerized by her stunning eyes.

Story
When we learned about this litter of eight puppies we had already spent thousands on two litters that came to us with Parvo. We could not take more on, so we offered to make sure they were safe by having them vaccinated, doing a wellness exam and administering preventatives. We hoped the owner would hang in while we looked for another rescue that could appreciate pups that had been vetted. In the mean time their mom died and it was suspected the cause was rat poison. The puppies were left running and the owner was not willing to contain or hold them while we searched for rescue. Our concern was these puppies knowing the same fate as their mom...vaccines and preventatives would not save them from rate poison. Five Boys and three girls! MEET ONE OF THE STUNNING GIRLS- ARIANNA! The whole litter is beautiful and so easy going and smart! While in foster Arianna has been with multiple dogs, is good with them and with people and is learning about the leash. She is sweet, cuddly, happy and non-reactive. She loves toys and , like most puppies, will play fetch for hours if you're game! She is absolutely stunning- pictures do not do these pups any justice! They are 4-5 months old, their father was a husky mix and mom was a hound/pit mix. Expected at under 60lbs when full grown. With no one stepping up, their safety was foremost and they are now Diamond Dogs. Currently in foster care in NH, rescue will transport them to approved adopters anywhere along the east coast from SC to ME
