Story
Hi!  My name is Lucas and I am looking for a forever home.  I was picked up as a stray by Animal Control and taken to a scary place called shelter where, after my stray hold was up and no one came to claim me, I was placed on something bad called "the list".  I was just about to run out of time and then BCAA heard about my plight and said they would help me ... yeah!  I appear to be a mix of maybe a siberian husky and some unknown mix; whatever I am, my foster mom says I'm super handsome and that I have a happy personality.  I'm about 2 years old so I'm past all of that puppy foolishness, and I am a big girl at around 53lbs.  I have gotten along with other other dogs like me but prefer the females.  While I have not yet been aggressive towards the cats, I've shown just a little too much interest in them so foster mom says no cats for me in my new home!  I have done really well in my crate with no accidents or tearing up of bedding, and I will go right in when asked with a treat or two as a bribe (I love my food and treats which will be great for any training).  I will, however, let you know if I hear you that I would prefer to be out and about with you.  I'm ok on leash in that I will pull some in my excitement on being out and about with you and love going for adventures.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Snow was rescued by Police when they were alerted about a squatter situation in Frankford. They arrested the squatters and called Four The Paws to take Snow in. Snow is an affectionate girl who loves to give you kisses and loves attention. She is housetrained and knows some commands. We are not sure how she is around children but if you are interested in here and have children we can do a meet and greet to see how she reacts. Snow is fully vaccinated and would love to be in a home where she is loved and able to sleep in her own bed and play with toys. To adopt Snow, please complete the online application at www.fourthepaws.org. Adoption fee to be determined. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 26, 2024, 8:36 am

Story
I've been fostering Trixie for 3 months now. She's a beautiful dog with a great personality! Trixie is very energetic & intelligent. She is friendly with every person & dog that she meets. However, I would not recommend she be placed in a home with children under 14 as she can be temperamental with people who make quick or unexpected movements towards her ??. She can be mouthy when playing, but she is easily corrected??? She does have some trust issues, but they dissipate as she gets to know you ??. Trixie does have a tendency to be food-possessive, and I have not been able to break her of that. (We recommend continued training & research for these behaviors ??) She knows several commands, & she is an excellent walker on the leash. She does need a home that has a fenced-in backyard or a dog park nearby as she does have A LOT of energy which is typical for her breed. I would recommend exercising her 4 to 5 times a week. She was a little picky about her food, but now she seems to like anything I give her. She loves riding in the car and enjoys Rita's icees...lol" This is the list of commands that I have taught her so far:sit + stay + down + wait + let's go + this way + leave it + kennel + come + give + fetch." ???? Trixie appears to be enjoying her time in foster care, but she truly needs to find an adopter who can be patient, loving, & willing to provide consistent training. If you are interested in being her new favorite human(s), submit your application today?????

Story
Little Tito here is on the hunt for a new home, he came to us as a stray and has not been reclaimed. He is a still a baby, so he needs training and someone that is going to be able to put the work in and help him to be the best boy he can be. he is a goofy boy but she is a little unsure of new things but that is to be expected with him being so young. we are unsure how he will be with others so as always, a meet and greet is required.
