Story
Meet Joy, a darling pup who truly lives up to her name! Her foster family lovingly calls her Princess Joy, and once you meet her, you’ll understand why. This sweet little girl is pure sunshine wrapped in the fluffiest white coat. With her bright, sparkling eyes and gentle personality, Joy has a way of instantly melting hearts. Her foster dad even took special photos to capture her magic, because that’s exactly what she is: a little bit of magic in puppy form. Joy’s journey hasn’t always been easy, but those days are behind her now. In her foster home she’s blossoming, learning about love, comfort, and all the wonderful things that come with being a cherished pup. Her foster family says she’s adjusting beautifully and is ready to start the next chapter of her story, finding a forever home of her very own. She’ll just need her second round of vaccinations before she’s ready to head home, but that doesn’t stop her from dreaming about her future family. Joy has lived happily with other dogs, so she’d love having a canine sibling to play with. That said, she’d also be perfectly content soaking up all the love as your one-and-only little princess. Whether you’re a family, a couple, or a solo adopter, Joy would make a wonderful addition to your life. So if you’re looking to add a little joy, sweetness, and puppy magic to your world, this precious girl might be the one for you. And we’d love to introduce you!

Story
With luscious blonde locks that put even the most intense volumizing shampoo to shame, Acornelius’s soft, silky fur make him the perfect cuddle buddy and nap neighbor. His good-natured personality and sweet shyness may not immediately catch your attention, but the positive vibes emanating from his core are reminiscent of the mighty oak that will grow from his acorn of love. Like most acorns, Acornelius enjoys the great outdoors and will happily accompany you on short jaunts to determine where he should be planted. Acornelius shares all of the characteristics of his namesake – he’s loyal, steadfast, and hopes to be planted in his new forever home soon. Do you have the soil needed for the adorable Acornelius? Here's some notes from his foster: Acornelius is learning to trust the world, one sniff at a time. Gentle and soft-hearted, he wouldn't harm a fly, he just needs a little patience to come out of his shell. He's relatively independent, but earn his trust and he'll cozy up next to you asking for pets.

When she first arrived, she was understandably shut down and unsure of the world around her. But with patience, kindness, and a steady routine in her foster home, Custard has made an incredible transformation. Watching her blossom from a timid, sleepy little dog into a curious, affectionate companion has been nothing short of heartwarming.   Today, Custard is a quiet, gentle soul who is learning new skills every day and discovering that life can be safe, predictable, and even fun. She may still be building confidence, but her progress has been remarkable— and her future family will get to continue that beautiful journey with her.   Daily Routine   Custard starts her day early, waking around 5:15 AM when her foster dad gets up for work. She sleeps comfortably either in her pen on her dog bed or on a quilt in the second bedroom (which doubles as a cozy office space).   After her foster dad leaves, Custard often uses her potty pad and then curls back up for a little more rest. A couple of hours later, when her foster mom wakes up, the day truly begins. Custard joins her for breakfast and then relaxes nearby—either in a chair in the living room or on her quilt in the office—while her person works.   She enjoys a daily walk around 11:00 AM, strolling a few blocks at a comfortable pace. In the afternoon, she rests quietly while her foster mom works, and in the evening they head out for another walk after dinner. At night, she settles back into her sleeping area and sleeps peacefully.   On weekends, Custard gets to experience new adventures—visiting pet-friendly stores, outdoor restaurants, and local outings. She rides beautifully in the car in her crate and seems to enjoy being included in family activities.   Personality: A Beautiful Transformation   When Custard first arrived, she was very quiet and withdrawn. She moved slowly, slept often, and seemed unsure how to interact with people or her surroundings. It was clear she had not had many positive experiences before.   Now, her personality is beginning to shine. She runs happily through the house, gets excited when her foster mom praises her, and greets familiar people with growing confidence. She may still be a bit cautious in new situations, but each week brings noticeable progress.   Custard is a gentle, independent companion who prefers to stay close to her person without needing constant attention. She enjoys curling up nearby and often seeks out cozy, elevated spots—like the top of the couch—where she can relax and observe the world.   One of her sweetest traits is how expressive she is. When she accomplishes something new—like using the potty pad or asking to go outside—she beams with pride when praised. You can almost see her confidence growing in real time.   Social Life   Custard currently lives in a home without other pets, but she has shown signs that she could adapt well to many types of households. She is gradually becoming more comfortable meeting new people and has made encouraging progress during outings to stores and public places.   She may feel nervous at first in unfamiliar environments, sometimes shaking briefly, but she warms up with gentle reassurance and patience. Each positive experience helps her build confidence.   She has not yet been tested with children or cats, but her calm, gentle nature suggests she could do well in a variety of homes with thoughtful introductions.   Energy Level   Custard is more of a lounger than a whirlwind. She enjoys her daily walks and outings, but she is happiest relaxing in a comfortable spot near her person. She has playful moments—especially when she’s feeling happy and safe—but overall she has a calm, easygoing energy that fits well into a relaxed household.   She is also quite clever. When it’s time for a walk, she steps right up onto a small stool and lifts her paws to help her foster mom put on her harness—a little routine that shows just how observant and cooperative she can be.   Leash Skills   Custard has made impressive progress on leash walking in a short amount of time. She walks politely beside her person without pulling and enjoys sniffing along the way. She doesn’t bark at other dogs or chase wildlife.   Because she can still startle easily, her adopter will need to hold the leash securely, but her confidence continues to grow with each walk.   Behavior Notes   Custard is a very gentle dog with minimal problem behaviors.   Chewing: None Digging: None Barking: Occasional soft, high-pitched bark when startled or uncertain Housetraining: Has gone several days without accidents now!   She is generally quiet, calm, and respectful in the home.     She is also still learning to feel fully comfortable around men. With patience, reassurance, and gentle exposure, she continues to make progress.   What Makes Custard Special   Custard’s journey from a hoarding situation to a loving foster home has revealed a deeply sweet, expressive little dog who simply needed time and kindness to come out of her shell. Even her groomer commented on how especially gentle and loving she is.   Her transformation is ongoing, and it’s a beautiful one to witness.   Favorite Thing   One of the most delightful things about Custard is her playful morning routine. When her foster mom starts making the bed, Custard suddenly springs into action—zooming over, hopping onto the bed, and insisting on belly rubs before the chore can continue. She interrupts again and again, tail wagging, determined to turn a simple task into a moment of fun.   It’s a small, joyful ritual that perfectly captures who Custard is becoming: a happy little dog who is learning how to enjoy life.  April 29, 2026, 7:12 pm

Adoption fee: $800 Meet Primrose: The Gentle Explorer with the Wiggle-Waggle Welcome   Primrose— affectionately called Rosie— is a 10–12 month old Maltipoo weighing about 11 pounds, with a soft, non-shedding coat and an even softer heart. She is a sweet, gentle, and curious girl who is learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. When Rosie gets excited, her joy is impossible to miss— her entire body wiggles with happiness, not just her tiny tail! Though she arrived a bit unsure, her true personality is beginning to bloom. With patience, encouragement, and love, Rosie is gaining confidence each day and discovering just how fun life can be. Daily Routine Rosie starts her mornings around 7:00 a.m., heading straight outside for a potty break and a chance to enjoy all the interesting smells of the yard. Afterward, it’s breakfast time. She prefers her kibble with a little extra flavor— adding a splash of low-sodium beef broth makes her meal irresistible.   The morning often includes playtime followed by another outdoor adventure around 9:00 a.m., where she spends about 30 minutes exploring. Afterward, she happily settles in for a nap alongside her foster sibling. Around noon, she heads outside again, often taking care of her business before relaxing for the afternoon.   Her longer walks usually happen in the late afternoon or early evening. Rosie is still learning how to walk confidently on leash and is gradually getting used to the sounds of the world around her. Her foster family thoughtfully introduces her to new experiences at a pace that helps her feel safe and secure.   Dinner is served around 6:00 p.m., and bedtime comes around 9:30 p.m. Rosie sleeps peacefully at the foot of her foster’s bed— and the moment she senses someone is awake, she happily scoots up to deliver a flurry of sweet morning kisses.   Personality Rosie is a tender-hearted girl with a gentle spirit. When she first arrived, she was quite shy and nervous, easily startled by unfamiliar sounds and situations. But as she has settled into her foster home, her loving personality has started to shine.   She is incredibly affectionate and loves cuddles and belly rubs. In fact, belly rubs are one of her absolute favorite things! She also enjoys playful wrestling sessions on the floor, where she can shower her humans with kisses. Rosie is naturally curious and enjoys exploring the world around her. She listens closely to the sounds of nature and is especially fascinated by squirrels in the backyard. While she still prefers having her person nearby for reassurance, she is slowly becoming more adventurous and confident on her own.   Social Life: Dogs and People Rosie lives with a 14-year-old Maltipoo named Rio and is very eager to be his friend— even if he would prefer a quieter retirement! She gently encourages play and doesn’t give up easily, showing her playful and optimistic nature. She is also learning to trust new people and is becoming more comfortable receiving affection from them. Each positive interaction helps her build confidence and feel more secure. Because she can still be easily startled, slow and gentle introductions to new environments and experiences work best for her.   Energy Level Rosie is a wonderful mix of playful and relaxed. She has bursts of energy when exploring the yard, chasing squirrels, or engaging in playtime, but she also loves curling up for cozy naps throughout the day. She’s active enough to enjoy daily walks and adventures, yet calm enough to be a peaceful companion at home.   Training & Manners Rosie is a smart girl who is eager to learn, especially when treats are involved. She is currently working on basic commands like “sit,” “come,” “no,” and “off,” and she’s making steady progress.   She is also learning to use the bathroom outside instead of puppy pads and is doing well with consistency and routine. Like many young dogs, she enjoys chewing—especially on plastic items if she finds them— but she is quickly learning that toys and chew treats are the right choices.   Her leash skills are improving as she gains confidence with new sights and sounds. With continued patience and positive reinforcement, she will continue to blossom.   Why You’ll Love Primrose Rosie is the kind of dog who quietly works her way into your heart. She is loving, gentle, and full of sweet little moments— like her full-body wiggle when she’s happy or the way she climbs up to give kisses the moment she senses you’re awake.   Watching her confidence grow is incredibly rewarding, and every new milestone feels like a victory worth celebrating. She is affectionate, loyal, and eager to connect with her people. Primrose is truly blossoming—and her forever family will have the joy of watching her continue to bloom.April 29, 2026, 7:12 pm
