Story
Welcome Murphy to CCPAL Rescue. Murphy is a 10-week-old Pug mixed pup. He is a beautiful fawn color with a black muzzle. He has an underbite and a shortened nose. He is a smallest-sized boy pup in the liter. He should be 20 or 25 pounds full grown is our best estimate. They all have curly tails and the round adorable heads. Murphy is one of two boys in the litter. He always comes when you call and wants to be picked up. They are all affectionate and cuddly. They are very playful with their siblings. They go on a wee pad but are not fully potty trained. They are good in a crate and are getting regular attention and love at the Rescue. We don’t have the privilege of adopting out many pugs. We are excited to find the pug pups their forever home. We would love pug people for these pups, as they know the breed most. They will be spayed and neutered and ready for their forever home soon. Someone that doesn’t work all day every day is the best candidate for a puppy. These pups would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older as these pups are small and very trusting of everyone. Murphy is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1869 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video!!

Story
Otis is a 4-year-old pug who recently joined Evergreen Pug Rescue as an owner surrender. From the moment he arrived, it was clear this sweet boy has so much love to givebut he was also quietly carrying a lot of discomfort. During his veterinary exam, Otis was diagnosed with a Grade 4 luxating patella, the most severe form of kneecap dislocation. This means his kneecap is permanently out of place, causing significant pain and limiting his ability to move comfortably. Despite this, Otis has remained gentle, affectionate, and trustingeverything we love about this breed. And heres the best partOtis is truly the whole package. He is cat approved, dog friendly, and perfectly house trained. Hes the kind of dog who settles in quickly and just wants to be near his people. The good news: there is a path forward. Otis is scheduled for corrective surgery next week, which will stabilize his knee and give him the comfort and mobility he deserves. This is a major procedure, with an estimated cost of around $2,000, followed by a dedicated recovery period. Post-surgery, Otis will need: Strict crate rest for the first two weeks Leash-only activity for several additional weeks Close monitoring to ensure proper healing Because of this, we are hoping to find a forever home local to the Redmond area so we can continue to support his follow-up care every step of the way. Otis didnt choose this journeybut were committed to making sure his future is one filled with comfort, stability, and love. And with his easygoing, well-mannered personality, we know hes going to make an incredible companion. Please visit our website to learn more about this amazing pug and begin the adoption process!

Story
Harold is a really fun and sweet boy with some bad habits. At baseline, he is a complete love. However it does seem like his past wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, and he has some behaviors we are working through. And honestly? Harold is SUCH a friendly boy. He likes people, does great with other dogs, and genuinely wants to be social and connected. Theres a really happy, sweet dog in there. But its also become clear that touch was not always something Harold knew as kind or safe. Because of that, he has triggersespecially around his neckand when he feels uncomfortable, hell growl, lunge, or try to create space. Not because hes mean, but because at some point in his life, he learned he needed to protect himself. The good news? That life is behind him now. Harold is in a trainer foster home where hes working on trust, desensitization, and learning that affection and touch can be safe. Its going to take patience, time, and the right adoptersomeone experienced or excited to work alongside a trainer and willing to meet him where hes at. Because of his triggers, well also be looking for a home with kids 13+. Sometimes rescue is more than medical care. Sometimes rescue means helping a dog learn that the world can be safe againand making sure dogs like Harold get that chance, too. While it may be some work, we know Harold is worth it and his love is the best reward. Please visit our website to learn more about this amazing pug and begin the adoption process!

Story
Bernard is a 10-year-old sweetheart who joined Evergreen Pug Rescue as a local rescue-to-rescue transfer. This gentle old man has been on quite the medical journey, and thanks to great care, hes now feeling comfortable and settled. Hes on prescription food, takes Apoquel for his skin, and will need lifelong eye dropsbut he handles it all like a pro. Bernard may have limited eyesight, but dont let that fool youhe gets around just fine and knows how to make himself at home. He loves adult people, is great with other dogs, and brings a calm, steady presence wherever he goes. At this stage in life, Bernard is looking for a peaceful home where he can truly relax. Hed do best in an environment with kids 13+. In return, he offers easy companionship, a gentle presence, and all the charm of a pug whos seen a thing or two.
