Truffles joins the Northstar family at age 14. She is in good shape for her age, except her eyesight isn’t great, she has no teeth, and she has a mild heart murmur. (No meds needed at this point.) Meet Mei Mei!&#226&#128&#168Born in February 2022 and weighing under 15 pounds, Mei Mei is a pocket-sized bundle of happy energy. This sweet girl has one main goal in life: to be close to her people. Whether you’re working, relaxing, or moving around the house, she’ll be right there with you—tail wagging and heart full. Mei Mei is a champion snuggler who loves to curl up on your lap or in a cozy bed. But she’s not a total couch potato either. When she’s not glued to her foster mom’s side or napping, she loves to sniff around the yard or play with her foster siblings. She does have some hip issues, and is scheduled for an orthopedic consult in mid-December to learn more about how to best support her long-term comfort and mobility. For now, she gets around well and still has plenty of pep in her step. In fact, she would do best in a home with a fenced in yard because she loves to run and explore and will definitely chase squirrels! Giovanni is a 10-year-old Shih Tzu who was surrendered along with Giselle TX and who are both now in a loving foster home. Meet Daisy. She is a Shih Tzu who was found as a stray and she’s approx 5-7yr old female, walks well on a leash, seems to be housebroken, wants to be your shadow. She is the sweetest little cuddle bug who is a true couch potato and is content to lay next to you or on your chest. Don’t let her fool you, even though she’s a couch potato she can hang for nice long walks too! She has no problem interacting with other dogs but would prefer to probably be the queen of the castle. Unknown with cats. She follows her people around the house and is always looking to be with them! She may possibly be blind in one eye, but she doesn’t let that stop her fun! We are looking for a foster to adopt so she can be spayed. Unfortunately had a tough life prior, but she doesn’t let that get her down and she’s looking for her happily ever after.
