Meet Marley It breaks our hearts to be looking for a new home for Marley. He is truly an amazing dog and a wonderful companion. Marley is approximately 16 lbs and is a Shih Tzu mix. He gets along well with other dogs and would do best in a home without young children (older teens or adults only). He loves to lounge and be near his people, but when it’s time to play, he’s all in — especially when it comes to fetch and his toys. With a busy toddler in our home, Marley has become overstimulated, which has unfortunately led to two incidents. He is not a vicious or aggressive dog. He is currently in professional training, which has been very successful, but out of an abundance of caution and with our toddler’s safety in mind, we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to find him a more suitable environment where he can truly thrive. Buttercup and her sister and brother, Bubbles and Brodie were surrendered to a kill shelter because their owners just had too many and couldn’t find homes on their own. Their mom is a long-haired Chihuahua and their daddy is a Shih Tzu and they were born on February 2nd this year so they are 8 months old. Buttercup has been spayed, is up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She’s also microchipped. She weighs just under 7 pounds and is probably full grown now. Buttercup is great at the Vet and The Groomer and loves riding in the car. She needs a little practice on the leash and she’s making great progress on house training. Buttercup is a little bossy but plays great with her brother and sister. we feel like she would be fine with other dogs after getting to know them but would always want to be the boss. She would be fine with older children and we are not sure about cats but the bossy part would be the same at first. Whether you’re working, relaxing, or moving around the house, she’ll be right there with you—tail wagging and heart full. Mei Mei is a champion snuggler who loves to curl up on your lap or in a cozy bed. But she’s not a total couch potato either. When she’s not glued to her foster mom’s side or napping, she loves to sniff around the yard or play with her foster siblings. Meet Benny!We were told he was a 1 year old maltese and we definitely were not expecting a dog looking like him to show up! Supposedly he's maltese mixed with some chihuahua, but there's definitely a bigger heavier breed in there- maybe some pom, corgi, papillon, and/or shih tzu?! He's 18lbs full grown, long with short legs and a stocky body. His elderly owner had a stroke and couldn't care for him any longer. He was not taken outside regularly so has a lot of pent up puppy energy and loves to do zoomies, a fun active little guy. He will need some work on housebreaking and was using wee wee pads mostly. He's been neutered and had his cherry eyes repaired with surgery, and is recovering nicely and almost ready for a home. Please submit an application to meet Benny!
