Meet Peter! Peter is a 2 year old, 12 pound Shih Tzu who is a hilarious sneaky little gremlin! His superpowers include being funny, falling asleep in your lap, loving other dogs, and standing straight up like a human. He is still getting used to new people but warms up quickly once he meets you. He is still getting the hang of potty training, but he is a smart and confident dog who should learn quickly. Some of his favorite things are chicken wrapped bones and windows! Peter also loves being on tall things like couches or ottomans. If you're looking for a hilarious little gremlin who will keep you entertained and loves to fall asleep in your lap - he might be your dog. Peter is currently being fostered in Staten Island, NY. His adoption fee is $600. Peter is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
