Koa is an adorable 7 month old male cattle dog mix, who has been with us a few months, becoming socialized to a home and other dogs. He currently weighs about 20-25 pounds. In his foster home, Koa is fairly confident and very playful with the other dogs. He has become very affectionate with his foster mom, but he still prefers dogs to people. Outside of the home, Koa gets overwhelmed easily, and is shy and fearful. In the house, he still can get startled by sudden noises or movements. The ideal home would be with a family familiar with dogs who have fear and anxiety issues, and a household that has a confident resident dog that is energetic and loves to play. Koa would do best in an adult-only household that is calm and with adopters and their resident dog who have the patience and time to help him build his confidence.
