He is super mellow and well behaved by nature. He gets along well with other dogs and cats. Bobby adapted and thrived quickly in foster care. He is potty trained and crate trained to sleep overnight. His favorite pastime is his daily walks and hanging out with play pals in the park. Bobby is calm and docile compared to young pups his age. He would be a great candidate for family looking for a companion pet. About Bobby’s rescue: Bobby was deserted at the park, he was around six months old at the time. Volunteer posted his story on social media asking for help, but didn’t get any response. He was friendly to the park visitors and sometimes played with their dogs. During the time the volunteer was looking for foster opportunity for him. Before an organized fair held at the park, Bobby was picked up by the local shelter. Fortunately, the volunteer landed a foster family for Bobby and got him out of the shelter shortly. Bobby got out of the shell and became his old and friendly self soon afterwards. Tippy enjoys sun bathing in redwood city foster home. she was rescued after hit by car, received surgery and thoroughly rehabbed. from vet estimate, she could be 5 years old or more. she is around 30 lb, spayed, all shots, looking for a loving home. she is house trained and ideal for human who needs a quiet companion. best if there is no other dog or cat as her current foster home doesn't have other pet. tippy would be good to keep someone company who lives a quiet life. she is quiet at home and easy to take care of by a kind hearted person with a routine. All dogs are fostered in private homes, there is no facility open to public. Home visit would be arranged for matched application. We encourage everyone to visit public shelters, and save another dog's life.

WILLING TO TRAVEL FOR GOOD HOME As a puppy, Harry was found with his siblings roaming around Oakland. They were taken in by a shelter and treated for Parvo. However, as Parvo is highly contagious, Harry didn’t socialize with other dogs as a puppy and has become very afraid of other dogs. The Good: Harry is SUCH a good boy. He’s loving, attentive, and loyal. He loves affection and loves showing it. The Bad: Harry lunges for and, if off leash, will run towards and attack other dogs. With the help of a trainer, we are able to go on neighborhood walks where we diligently avoid other dogs. Harry has never significantly harmed another dog or human (i.e. nips and scratches only). I’m a single working professional who lives in an apartment. Because we’re not able to go to dog parks, Harry only gets outside time on walks and the occasional outside fetch. He deserves a chance to run around, explore and bathe in the sun as he enters older age.

Dog was 1 year old when adopted from SPCA. She is now about 6 yrs old. She is fairly mellow but needs her walks. She loves playing with other dogs. She is gentle but gets hyper as well. She is not good with kids, as she tries to herd them. Unsure of children within the family. Need to be wary of joggers, bikers and passerbys as you walk her. She has leash aggression and her heeling instinct kicks in and can get her into trouble. She has nipped two people, unfortunately. She is OK at dog parks. She is the older sister to Luna, who was a couple months old when they became besties.

Koa is an adorable 7 month old male cattle dog mix, who has been with us a few months, becoming socialized to a home and other dogs. He currently weighs about 20-25 pounds. In his foster home, Koa is fairly confident and very playful with the other dogs. He has become very affectionate with his foster mom, but he still prefers dogs to people. Outside of the home, Koa gets overwhelmed easily, and is shy and fearful. In the house, he still can get startled by sudden noises or movements. The ideal home would be with a family familiar with dogs who have fear and anxiety issues, and a household that has a confident resident dog that is energetic and loves to play. Koa would do best in an adult-only household that is calm and with adopters and their resident dog who have the patience and time to help him build his confidence. Hero’s rescue story: Hero and two siblings had been wandering in the suburban mountain area for quite a while. The chance for these young puppies to survive in the wilderness during winter time is slim. Luckily, all three fragile lives were rescued in time and then got settled in foster homes.
