Story
Meet Ursus! This handsome boy has a big heart and an even bigger personality. He's truly beautiful-inside and out-but he can be a little nervous and delightfully weird while he's figuring things out. New situations and unfamiliar people may make him unsure at first, but once he feels safe, his sweet, goofy side shines through. He does best with patient humans who understand that trust takes time and who can appreciate his quirks. With consistency, gentle guidance, and lots of reassurance, he blossoms into a loyal, affectionate companion who will keep you smiling every day. Story
Joey is a 3 year old black Mutt ( medium mixed breed ) the shelter told us he was a Border Collie mix small frame from his recent last vet visit : 38 pounds. He is neutered and up to date on all his vaccinations. He is a loving happy and healthy dog looking for his perfect forever home. He absolutely loves people and bonds deeply with his humans. Joey enjoys walks hiking and being outdoors but he is just as happy cuddling on the couch giving kisses and relaxing by your side. He has soft fur that does not shed much and is a joy to pet. Joey is fully house trained listens well to all commands like sit stay leave it come drop it paw spin off place and more. Joey is very trainable. He loves learning tricks and enjoys having structure and interaction. He can be left alone for up to 10 hours indoors without issues making him a good fit for someone with a full workday who can still give him quality time and regular walks every day. He is lives with two cats. However Joey really does not like other dogs and must be the only dog in the home. No young children. He would do best with older kids and a family or individual who enjoys daily walks and giving lots of affection. We are helping Joey's current guardian to rehome him. Please fill out our online application and we will forward to them. Adoption fee would be minimum $100 donation to Furry Friends Rescue. If you have specific questions please send them through and we will put you in touch with his current guardian.January 24, 2026, 12:25 pm

Piper loves her people! Once she's befriended you, she wants nothing more than to give hugs and share cuddles! She is a female Border Collie mix, and is approximately two years old, and currently weighs 47 lbs. She was brought to our shelter on 10/16/25 after being found in unincorporated Livermore. She hasn't been reclaimed by her previous person, so she's now looking for a new home! She has been vaccinated, spayed, and micro-chipped. Piper isn't a fan of sharing her space with other dogs, but if you're a human looking for a new companion, she would love a chance at becoming your new best friend! Her adoption fee is $35, plus licensing (if applicable). Her spay surgery will be sponsored!

Story
🐾 Hi there! I’m PIPER, but you can call me the Queen of Cuddles! 🐾 Once upon a time in a land called Dublin, there was a beautiful two-year-old Border Collie Mix named Piper! 😍 She had a silky-smooth black and white coat, mesmerizing amber eyes, and a smile that lit up any room she entered. She was 47lbs of pure LOVE and anyone who laid eyes on her fell under her spell. It’s no wonder why she quickly became a favorite at the shelter! With her heart of gold, sweet face, and unforgettable cuddles it was a mystery to everyone why she hadn’t yet found her happily-ever-after. 💓 Here is her tale… Piper’s favorite part of the day is anytime she can be with a volunteer pal! 😀 You may even get to see her happy dance including her signature “hug”- she’ll stand on her hind legs and give you a warm hug that can melt all your problems away. 🥰 Once she is outside, she walks very majestically on leash. The great outdoors is a magical adventure, and you’ll often catch her enjoying every sniff along the way. Piper loves to be by a hooman pal’s side! Her two greatest joys are having a human companion, and the belly rubs they give. She believes there is magic in those belly rubs because they make her feel so loved. 💘 As a thank you Piper will sit nicely and take treats very gently. She is working on more commands and is learning every day. After all, it’s in her DNA to be just as smart as she is beautiful! In between pets and cuddles, you’ll find her frolicking in the yard, checking to see if her castle is being kept safe (primarily from other dogs as she prefers them to keep their distance), and occasionally playing with a toy or chasing a squeaky ball. 🐕🏐 Piper would thrive best in a home where there are no other dogs. She dreams of being your one-and-only, soaking up all your love and returning it tenfold. After all, her heart is more than big enough to fill a home all on her own! So, what do you say? If you’re in search of a loyal, loving companion who’s ready to share her unconditional love with you, Piper is your gal! Somewhere, her fairytale ending is waiting. All that’s missing is YOU! ❣️ Her adoption fee is $35, plus licensing (if applicable). The cost of her spay surgery is sponsored! ** Piper would do best in a home without another dog ** ## See video of Piper at the end of the photo gallery! ## TVAR.org/find-your-pet-adopt/dogs-puppies Piper’s Shelter ID# is 87936. She is an approximately 2-year-old, black and white, Border Collie mix. She currently weighs around 47 lbs. She has been vaccinated, spayed and microchipped and is ready to go to her new home! Piper is located in kennel A-1. ** Age shown is an estimate only ** THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING If you are interested, please call the East County Animal Shelter at 925-803-7040 to see if this dog is still available.

Story
FOSTER CARE! Hello, my name is Rudy and I'm a 3-year-old, neutered Border Collie mix that currently weighs about 45lbs. I'm a sweet and friendly guy that's hoping for a family that understands my special needs don’t make me any less loveable! I have a chronic balance issue that causes me to have a bit of a wobble, especially when I'm excited. But don't worry, I'm still a happy go lucky guy and I've adapted just fine! Sometimes other animals don't understand my signature wobble, so I'd like meet any residents dogs to make sure we get along. For more information about me, just ask Customer Service about Rudy! ID# A960272 My foster family says I'm the bestest boy! Here's how I've been in their home: Rudy is such a good boy! He has a bit of a wobble, but that doesn't stop him from enjoying daily walks, going for short trots, and playing with the family. He does great in the car. He can jump in on his own (we act as a spotter just in case) and he sits patiently during the entre drive just taking in the sights and smells. He loves squeaky toys and sometimes carries them with him on walks. This adorable boy is very affectionate and is a constant companion. He will follow you around the house like a fur and LOVES to cuddle. We have been able to leave him home for the work day without any accidents. He will try to chase small animals like birds, cats, and wildlife so he will probably be best as the only child. He is an absolute joy to have and we hope he finds his forever family soon.    Sign up to meet me!
