Story
FOSTER CARE! Hello, my name is Rudy and I'm a 3-year-old, neutered Border Collie mix that currently weighs about 45lbs. I'm a sweet and friendly guy that's hoping for a family that understands my special needs don’t make me any less loveable! I have a chronic balance issue that causes me to have a bit of a wobble, especially when I'm excited. But don't worry, I'm still a happy go lucky guy and I've adapted just fine! Sometimes other animals don't understand my signature wobble, so I'd like meet any residents dogs to make sure we get along. For more information about me, just ask Customer Service about Rudy! ID# A960272 My foster family says I'm the bestest boy! Here's how I've been in their home: Rudy is such a good boy! He has a bit of a wobble, but that doesn't stop him from enjoying daily walks, going for short trots, and playing with the family. He does great in the car. He can jump in on his own (we act as a spotter just in case) and he sits patiently during the entre drive just taking in the sights and smells. He loves squeaky toys and sometimes carries them with him on walks. This adorable boy is very affectionate and is a constant companion. He will follow you around the house like a fur and LOVES to cuddle. We have been able to leave him home for the work day without any accidents. He will try to chase small animals like birds, cats, and wildlife so he will probably be best as the only child. He is an absolute joy to have and we hope he finds his forever family soon.   Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
Hi there! My name is Oreo and I'm a 10-month-old, neutered, Border Collie/Shepherd mix that currently weighs about 50lbs but I'm just a teenager and still growing. I'll be between 60-70 pounds once I'm full grown. I'm a sweetheart that's looking for a family that understands the needs of under-socialized pups like me. I'm devoted to my people and want to be your constant companion! I get nervous in new places and situations so I'm hoping my new family will have enough patience and love to help me learn about the world. Once I'm comfortable, I'm very affectionate and can be a little bit curious as well! I'm a young dog with tons of potential! I just need someone to guide me. Could it be you? Story
Joey is a 3 year old black Mutt ( medium mixed breed ) the shelter told us he was a Border Collie mix small frame from his recent last vet visit : 38 pounds. He is neutered and up to date on all his vaccinations. He is a loving happy and healthy dog looking for his perfect forever home. He absolutely loves people and bonds deeply with his humans. Joey enjoys walks hiking and being outdoors but he is just as happy cuddling on the couch giving kisses and relaxing by your side. He has soft fur that does not shed much and is a joy to pet. Joey is fully house trained listens well to all commands like sit stay leave it come drop it paw spin off place and more. Joey is very trainable. He loves learning tricks and enjoys having structure and interaction. He can be left alone for up to 10 hours indoors without issues making him a good fit for someone with a full workday who can still give him quality time and regular walks every day. He is lives with two cats. However Joey really does not like other dogs and must be the only dog in the home. No young children. He would do best with older kids and a family or individual who enjoys daily walks and giving lots of affection. We are helping Joey's current guardian to rehome him. Please fill out our online application and we will forward to them. Adoption fee would be minimum $100 donation to Furry Friends Rescue. If you have specific questions please send them through and we will put you in touch with his current guardian.January 24, 2026, 12:25 pm

Story
Camper is ready to head home to 🇺🇸 Background: This handsome boy was rescued from a slaughterhouse in the summer of 2022 in Daegu, Korea. After his rescue, he lived in a local shelter for three years but couldn’t find a home in Korea. After hearing his story, we brought him to our boarding house, knowing that a loving family is waiting for him in North America. His forever home is out there, and he is ready to find it. Personality & Behavior: Camper is a wonderful Border Collie with a sweet and gentle personality. He has medium energy, much calmer than a typical Border Collie, making him well-mannered and easygoing. He is social and friendly, not shy around strangers, and he gets along beautifully with other dogs. Camper is never dominant or aggressive; he is always polite and affectionate. Among people at the shelter, he is one of the sweetest and most popular dogs, loved by volunteers for his friendly and gentle nature. Daily Life & Habits: Camper is well-behaved both indoors and outdoors. He goes potty outside and is easy to care for. He handles bath time and car ride well, and walks nicely on leash, though he sometimes gets excited by new sights during walks. He does not like being caged but has shown no signs of separation anxiety or destructive behavior. Camper is simply a sweet, well-mannered boy who makes life easy and enjoyable. Health & Diet: Camper has been on regular parasite prevention since his rescue and has had full veterinary checkups. He is dewormed, microchipped, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. He is healthy, happy, and ready for his forever home. Camper eats kibble twice a day and has shown no food allergies. Ideal Home: Camper is smart, quick to learn, and very sociable. He will thrive in a home that enjoys spending time outdoors. While he does not require excessive exercise like some Border Collies, he enjoys daily walks, playtime, and outdoor adventures. He will happily balance activity with relaxation and is a perfect companion for a family who loves to include their dog in their outdoor lifestyle. Whoever adopts Camper will be very lucky to have such a gentle, affectionate, and loyal friend. Become Camper's family through link below: https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/camper/

Story
I adopted Porky from the Oakland SPCA when he was approximately 11 weeks old (June 2025). He has been raised indoors and is accustomed to a home environment. When unsupervised, he stays in a pen and is taken out 4-6 times daily for potty breaks, exercise, and time together. Porky is approximately 9 months old. He is in the puppy/young adolescent stage and has the high energy and curiosity typical of a Border Collie mix. I’m seeking a stable, committed home that can meet Porky’s physical and mental needs long-term. Ideally, his new home would have a secure backyard or an active adopter who can provide daily exercise, structured training, and enrichment. Experience with high-energy or working breeds is a plus. Porky is intelligent, affectionate, energetic, curious, loyal, trainable, and engaging. He is deeply loved, and this decision has not been made lightly. Due to personal circumstances, I’m no longer able to provide the environment he needs to thrive.

Story
Montana is an affectionate 4-year-old Lab/Pit mix who’s ready to be your loyal companion for life. This sweet girl is a fetch fanatic who lives for playtime and loves nothing more than chasing balls with her favorite humans. She’s both treat and toy motivated and ready to learn new tricks. Montana gets along fine with other dogs, but she’s truly a people-focused pup who wants to be your number-one play partner. On a recent Doggie Day Out adventure, she proved to be a calm car passenger and a wonderful trail companion. She enjoys sniffy walks and likes to lead the way without pulling on the leash. Though Montana can be a little shy when meeting new people, she warms up quickly with patience (and a few tasty treats). Once she feels comfortable, she enjoys gentle petting and cuddle time with her friends. If you can toss a tennis ball, you’re already in her inner circle! Montana was placed on final because shelter life has become overwhelming for her. Repeated encounters with unfamiliar people reaching into her kennel have left her feeling uneasy, and she may growl or show her teeth to ask for space. But outside the kennel, Montana’s true personality shines—sweet, playful, and full of love. Montana will thrive in a calm, patient home that gives her time to decompress and build trus ##2599337##
