Hi! My name is Mayflower, and I am from Minnesota! From her foster: Mayflower, is, quite simply, the sweetest thing you'll ever meet. Spunky, playful, full of energy, and looking for a busy home that can keep up with her fun personality! She has the gentlest personality. She might be a little shy when you first meet her, give her just a moment, and her playful, joyful side will emerge, as she adores all people and dogs. Loves having a dog brother/sister to play with. Fun, high-energy girl who potties outside right away and is still learning house rules. Getting better with boundaries and mostly kennel trained. A happy, loving pup! Cat response is unknown.

If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete  an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. Meet Pinto Bean! This adorable 5-month-old Border Collie mix is the full package — smart, loving, and ready to find his forever family! Pinto Bean is already kennel and potty trained, showing just how quick and eager he is to learn. Like many young pups, he can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but once he realizes you’re a friend, his tail starts wagging and his sweet, affectionate side shines through. He’s the kind of pup who bonds deeply and loves to be near his people. When it comes to other dogs, Pinto Bean does best with slow introductions, as he can be a little nervous at first. But once he feels safe, his curiosity and playful spirit start to come out — you’ll see him trying to make new buddies in no time! True to his Border Collie roots, Pinto Bean is a very smart boy who will thrive with mental stimulation, training, and love. He enjoys playtime, learning new things, and of course, his favorite — belly rubs! If you’re looking for a bright, loyal companion who will blossom with patience and kindness, Pinto Bean will reward you with endless love and devotion. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.  ##2512859##

Story
Meet Poncho!! Intelligent, energetic and sweet, Poncho is a 2.5 yr old Border Collie mix. He has a young, happy heart and lights up like a kid on Christmas morning while playing with his ball or rope tug toy. He is loyal to his core, loving his family with everything he has. In fact, his theme song is “I’ll Stand By You” by the Pretenders. Poncho was a little too well loved in his prior home and is making progress toward achieving a healthy weight. His goal is around 50# from a current 56#. Luckily, he is excited to take his people for walks and show them around town. He pulls on leash for the first few minutes, then settles in nicely. It’s the perfect time of year to enjoy strolls before or after work (or both) with this handsome lad. Like many highly intelligent dogs, Poncho wants to use his big brain in addition to getting daily exercise. He enjoys puzzle toys and working on basic obedience skills. He can’t wait to take classes and be the star pupil! His foster family is helping him learn how to relax by using a mat for downtime where he enjoys chewing on bones or working on a Kong. Poncho is a great fit for families that appreciate and understand smart, engaged herding dogs. He can live with dog-savvy kids roughly 10+, and hopes they enjoy playing fetch! He dreams of a fenced yard and is also well suited to families who keep their dogs safe on leash. He is house and kennel trained. Poncho loves life as an only dog and does well meeting new canine friends for walks and excursions. He tries to gently herd the kitty in his foster home, but we feel he would be more comfortable in a cat-free home. This special dog deserves all the love he puts into the world with his optimistic, upbeat approach to life. If you enjoy the company only a devoted dog can provide, APPLY to adopt Poncho at hoabcr.org/how-to-adopt Poncho is being fostered in Forest Lake, MN. As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul. Poncho's adoption fee is $450 + MN sales tax. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. Upon adoption, all of our dogs go to their new homes with a collar and harness, leash, starter food, blanket, favorite toys & treats. They are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Story
Hi, I’m Apollo! I’m a 10 month old, 37# Border Collie mix, and I’m looking for my forever family. People say I’m adventurous, curious, smart, and friendly, and that sums me up pretty well. My favorite pastimes are collecting toys, carrying them around the house or settling down with a bully stick when I'm ready to relax. I’ve got plenty of energy, especially outside - I love to run, explore, and play, and I’m really fast! Inside, I settle down... but if you want a play break, just let me know! I’d be happiest with an active and patient family who enjoys keeping me busy and teaching me new things. A fenced yard would be heavenly, or a family dedicated to giving me safe outdoor time would work too. Kids under 10 that have had dogs before would be fun for me. While I’d enjoy having a canine sibling, I can also entertain myself. I’ve started showing some herding instincts with other dogs, so a family familiar with herding breeds is probably best. I haven’t met cats yet, but with proper introductions and training, I bet we would be friends. I’m proud to say I’m doing great with housetraining and have learned to whine at the door when it’s time to go out! I relax in my crate at night and when my foster mom has to focus for work. Sometimes I complain just a little, but it doesn’t last long. I enjoy being on a long line and am working on regular leash walking skills. My foster mom is helping me learn basic commands like sit, stay, and come (that’s my favorite one – I get to run AND get cookies at the end!). My master plan is to take my family to obedience classes so we get dedicated time together and I get to see new things, people, and other dogs. Plus, I will use my smarts to show off and get more cookies! I promise, if you give me a chance, I’ll be your best friend. You'll always be smiling when I'm around. Story
Meet Nick, a tender-hearted, 4-year-old, 50# Border Collie ready to discover what it feels like to be truly treasured. He is the kind of dog whose gentle presence fills a home with warmth. He's adoring, amorous, and cuddly. If you're looking for a special connection, Nick wants to meet you! Nick’s favorite thing in the whole world is simple: attention from his people. He melts with affection, and happily settles in close once he trusts you. He enjoys getting out for daily walks, with a love of quiet nature trails where he can take in new sights (and smells!) at his own pace. Because his life before rescue was limited, many experiences are still new to him. Nick is optimistic and willing to learn about the world. With patience and reassurance, he’s blossoming beautifully - look at his proud smile in pictures! This handsome guy would thrive in a moderately active home with a calm vibe. People who enjoy including their dog in their daily rhythm are a perfect fit. A fenced yard is ideal, and he can live with a family with a history of keeping dogs safe on leash. He doesn’t require an experienced herding-dog family; he simply needs people who are kind and ready to help him build confidence. He’s good with cats and can live with older kids. While a canine sibling would be a lovely bonus, it’s not required if his humans are engaged with him. Nick is still working on his housebreaking (schedule helps!) and basic obedience skills. He lights up with praise for a job well done. He finds comfort in his crate, and walks better on leash all the time. His foster family describes him as an eager, open-hearted student. If you're looking for a deeply bonded companion, Nick is ready to make up for lost time. He will become the cherished best friend he was always meant to be. Nick is being fostered in Clear Lake, MN (near St. Cloud). Paul. Nick's adoption fee is $450 + MN sales tax. Story
Hi, my name is Aunt Daisy. I am from Georgia. From her foster: Aunt Daisy is a calm and gentle dog who is happiest lounging around the house with her people. She is the perfect blend of couch-potato cozy and occasional adventures. At home, Auntie is a dream. She is respectful of furniture and happy to stay off the couch if you prefer, though she will want to settle in nearby. She appears to be crate trained but has not needed it during her stay with us as she has behaved herself. One of her cutest quirks is her love of carrying toys around the house. Auntie would thrive in almost any family. She’s gentle with children, friendly with other dogs and cats. She doesn’t mind being handled, snuggled, bumped, or having her paws examined. Her sweet, steady temperament makes her a great fit for a busy household or a quiet one. From the Vet: I am currently being treated for heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious so your resident pets are not at risk! The treatment for this is 3-4 months long and requires a minimum of 3 appointments and strict rest/restricted activity. My adoption can take place during treatment, while TBB manages the financial responsibility of my heartworm treatment at The Bond Between Vet Center. Any other medical care needed outside of the specific care covered in the contract disclaimer, would be the responsibility of my new family. After heartworm treatment TBB will agree to cover 1 dental COHAT procedure + 1 round of medications and 1 recheck appointment associated with surgery as determined necessary by The BB Medical Team. This surgery should be scheduled by Aunt Daisy's adopters no sooner than 30-40 days after completion of her heartworm treatment and no later than 6 months post adoption.

Hi, my name is Sequoia and I am from Georgia! From her foster: Sequoia has a personality of an older puppy definetly.. She is very wise and catches on and adapts so quick to everything. She is by far the baby in my house with all the other resident and foster animals however, is not shy or concerned about her size or age. She acts like a BIG dog and plays hard, loves hard and crashes hard. She is so playful and knows boundaries already from me and the "BIG" dog and when she can push the limits and when to listen wisely. She is very independent too, she can play by herself, sleep when she wants, and doesn't back down to a challenge with anything. She aims to please. She is a snuggle bug too and is the 1st one to want lovings and praise. She is loved so much.

Hi, my name is Johnny and I am from Oklahoma! Hi! My name is Johnny and I'm from Oklahoma. I’m a sweet little guy who likes to explore everything. My favorite things are chasing balls, morning hugs with the humans, chewing on Benebones, and rough-housing with my foster brother. I’ve learned a few commands since I've been here and can’t wait to learn more. I may get a little vocal when I have to go in my crate, but I settle down quickly. I'd do best in a home with a patient family who can help me continue building my confidence. A dog sibling who can show me the ropes would be great, but I could also be happy as your one and only. I'm very curious about the cat that lives in my foster home too and he's starting to warm up to me.
