Location: Mankato, MN Lasso is a shy dog that has so much potential. He’s incredibly sweet, loves to be pet. He’s very anxious and does WAY better with other dogs in the house, to build his confidence. His current foster home has children (4 & 7 years old), but he would probably appreciate a quieter home with older kids. He doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body, but the loud sudden noises make him hide in his crate. He comes out of his shell more once the kiddos are in school 😅 His ideal home would have other dogs, and a family with patience to celebrate all his little milestones. Blaze is a 54#, 5-year-old Border Collie with a sunny personality and a zest for life that's as bright as a perfect summer day. He thinks every day should include a game of fetch or frisbee and plenty of time spent with his favorite people. Happy-go-lucky, affectionate, and adventurous, Blaze loves being part of the action, whether that's a morning walk, a trip to the park, or a backyard barbecue. His energy level is a wonderful balance: he's always ready for fun and activity, and he's equally happy to relax and enjoy downtime with his family afterward. Blaze would thrive with an active, herding breed-experienced family that appreciates both his intelligence and enthusiasm. He walks beautifully on leash without pulling and is well-socialized in the world. He's crate trained and keeps four on the floor. He knows a few basic obedience commands and wants to learn more.
