You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Did I catch your eye? Learn more about me by reading my profile below; I just might be your new best friend! Apply on our website ( https://www.healingheartsrescue.org/adopt )  to  set up a private meeting or check below for my adoption event schedule.   Age: Approximate DOB 9/9/2022 Weight: 35 pounds Dog friendly: YES! She needs one in her forever home Cat friendly: Yes with dog savvy cats Kid friendly: Older kids only Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes when she can see other dogs **Needs another confident dog and physically fenced yard**  Addie is the sweetest little girl you’ll ever meet! She is nervous about new people at first, but will warm up after she realizes she's home and safe. She is such a little love bug who wants to cuddle and get pets. She happily lounges on the couch in the evening, getting snuggles. She needs another dog in the home to teach her how to be confident. She absolutely LOVES her doggo foster brother and playing with him, so another dog that wants to play is a must, as she needs that kind of relationship to blossom. She would cuddle up with her cat foster sister all of the time, so as long as the cat can handle her bursts of energy, she's a doll with them! Because of her fears, she needs a securely fenced yard to live her happiest life, and you'll see a different side of her when she's outside playing! She is potty trained and does well in a kennel for a full workday when you're gone. She's the easiest little girl because of her sweet demeanor and smartness. She keeps herself busy with toys during the day, so she'd be a great companion for anyone who works from home but is not required!  Once she's comfortable with you, we think she would be really great at agility or other training, too, so feel free to put her border collie abilities to the test! She gets really scared by sudden, loud noises and fast movements, so Addie would do best in a home without little kids. Other than that, she just wants all the love she can get from her people, dogs, and cats!  Adoption Fee: $595Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.INTERESTED IN MEETING ME? Story
Jinx is a 9 year old border collie looking for a home where he can stay busy and challanged. He is smart, intense and has a high drive He needs a home with experience and interest in training. He is a very sweet boy who loves to snuggle as much as play! He is very loyal and wants to please his people. He is housebroken and crate trained. This boy loves to play fetch and can spend hours pushing balls around the yard! Jinx has lived with many dogs and has done well with most, but can be selective. He may do best as an only dog. He is not good with cats. Jinx is neutered, vaccinated, heart worm negative, and microchipped. Jinx is not an easy dog, but he will be an amazing friend to the right family! Jinx is a courtesy post, please do not contact MUSHR but instead email his foster owner at megwagner@hotmail.com and include some information about your family. Jinx is fostered outside of the metro area, you must be willing to travel to meet him.

Story
Meet Kage, the ultimate good boy who's just so darn cute! This gentleman is a pro at house living, fully potty trained, and a master at walking on a leash and harness. He's a social butterfly, getting along famously with other dogs and loving those backyard playdates with his pals. Kage is a stunning mix of Lab and Border Collie, the perfect blend of intelligence and family-friendliness. He's just the right size, like a mini Lab or a slightly larger Border Collie. When you find two fantastic things that go together like peanut butter and jelly, you celebrate! Kage is that winning combo, and now you can celebrate by making him a cherished member of your family. His temperament is pure gold - sweet as honey with everyone he meets. Now, here's the scoop: Kage is a special needs pup, and he's looking for someone who can be with him about 90 percent of the time. Storms, rain, and loud noises send him into severe panic attacks, and he's been known to chew through walls when anxiety strikes. Crates aren't his jam because of past storm-related trauma. He's also dealing with seizures, so he's on medication for that. Kage would thrive in a local adoption, and he's best as a single dog with no cats or small animals around. He's a wonderful companion for older kids, and he loves nothing more than cuddles and long walks. He's got the whole house training thing down too. His foster mom adores him and has prepared him for his forever family as best she can. Now, the ball is in your court. Remember, when you adopt Kage, you're not just bringing home a good boy; you're giving him the loving, understanding home he deserves. Don't shop, adopt, because Kage's life depends on it! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Melody is to music what a scent is to the senses. According to Wikipedia the true goal of music—its proper enterprise—is melody and with your rhythm and lyrics added to my melody we can make beautiful music...together!! I'm around 2 years of age, that perfectly pawsome age where I'm out of the puppy destructive stage but still playfully active and ready for...everything from leisurely strolls to action packed adventures. I'm looking forward to dancing the night (or day is fine too) away to the music we'll be making! I come in at just 54lbs of pure love!! 54lbs of sweetness, 54lbs of doggie adoration, 54lbs of turning you to a pile of goo with my loving puppy dog eyes. What a great size for all our said music making!! I love people and get on well with the other doggies here. I would do good having a playful 'sibling' or getting all the attention as your one and only and I'm also already house trained which makes me a great candidate to become a fantastic family member where we can start making that music together, beautiful!! Are you seeking a BFF to be by your side thru thick and thin, a constant in your life to share in all your daily going on's? I AM that gal, just fill out my adoption application to add Melody to your Rhythm!!!

Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Harry - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! We have puppy cuteness overload here with the Harry Potter litter!! They will soon be 8 weeks (4/30/24) and ready for their very own home full of magic and so many firsts! My name is Harry and me and my siblings were born 3/04/24. As with your typical puppy we are a tad shy at first of the unknown but we don't let that overcome our curiosity, we just need a moment. We have been socialized with kids and other foster pups although we have not met any cats yet but at our tender age we should do just fine if introduced properly. Full of curiously exploring the big ole world around us, playing with our siblings, eating, napping and cuddle time...we have the world by the tail making us ready to tackle the next chapter in our adventure...a home and family of our own!! Mom is a Border Collie/Mt Cur mix that comes in at around 30ish lbs and dad was anyone's best guess. We should be a nice mediumish size when we get fully growed up. Are you looking for a little magic in your life? Would you like to share so many of my firsts with me? Are you in need of a BFF that will be by your side through it all? Oh my, you're in luck, that'd be ME!!! This precious family includes Molly(mom), Harry, Ron, Dobby, James, Luna, Minerva, Hermoine and Lily

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $400 plus taxBananarama, aka Nanner or NaNa, is a very special girl around here. Nana has been in foster care with a MARS staff member since Aug 2021. During this time Nana has been working on all her life skills, with the help of our trainer.  At her annual exam on 6/7/22 she tested positive for heartworm. She went through heartworm treatment with flying colors. She has been retested for heartworm and is now negative. She needs to remain on monthly heartworm prevention, year round, for the rest of her life. Nana came to MARS with some significant fear based reactivity, stranger danger and trust issues. With the dedication of her foster and trainer she has improved dramatically and is ready to find her FOREVER home.  Nana will need to continue using these newly mastered life skills in her new home with a calm and confident human leader. MARS will provide training with her adopter during the transition.  While Nana is able to live in a townhome she would do best without shared walls as she does get vocal when she hears the door bell, loud noises, sees dogs or sees/hears people outside. Nana would LOVE a home with a big fenced yard that she can safely run around and have the zoomies. She loves to chill outside during the warm months! Once you are one of her trusted people she is sweet and cuddly and just wants to be with you. She would prefer to be the only pet in her new home.   If you are interested in learning more about Nana please complete an application!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //

Once he warms he is great! He is very treat motivated and smart; sit, kennel and stay are all coming along nicely and he is fully potty trained. Brock is a very playful dog who likes to play fetch with a tennis ball or frisbee and play tug-a-war with either a human or dog companion. He gets along well with his other household dog pals. At times he has too much energy for the 9 year old dog, but is getting better at recognizing social cues of when it is okay to play and when it is not. Brock snuggles and sleeps as well as he plays. He likes to get his belly rubbed and nap in the blankets. Brock sleeps in a kennel overnight but would also do well in a bed.  He is growing up in rescue, Who can be this boy's happy ever after??Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Story
Meet Riata, a sweet and snuggly 6-year-old breeder release dog who is ready to find her forever home! Riata has an incredibly soft coat that's a joy to pet, and with a sweet habit of gently kissing your hand to show her affection, she’s sure to melt your heart. This gentle soul is still learning to trust people and can be timid around loud noises, but with patience and love, she’s sure to blossom.   Riata adores the outdoors and is gradually getting used to walking on a leash. She’s also working on becoming more comfortable with pottying in front of people, so a home with a fenced backyard and a tie-out would be ideal for her while she gets used to her surroundings.   Despite her shy nature, Riata finds comfort in her kennel and loves to snuggle up all day. She also finds comfort in other dogs, especially ones that are a little more outgoing and can show her what being a dog is all about! She’s a loyal companion who just needs a little time and encouragement to show her true, loving personality. If you have a quiet home and the patience to help Riata continue her journey, she will reward you with unconditional love and affection. Adopt Riata and give her the chance she finally deserves to feel safe and cherished!   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Dental, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
