I am a handsome Border Collie/Lab mix born on 1/22/24. I'm looking for the perfect playmate for tug o' war, fetch, and exploring the great outdoors. Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes when I can see other dogs **NEEDS ANOTHER CONFIDENT DOG IN THE HOME AND A FENCED YARD**  Hi there! I’m Addie, and I am the sweetest little girl you’ll ever meet! I didn’t have the easiest start to life, so I’m nervous about new people at first, but I warm up after I realize I’m home and safe. Boy, oh boy, do I looooove to cuddle, and I like pets and scritches. I'll even nudge your arm and hand for more pets! I really want to be loved, so please take a chance on me, even though I’m scared at first! I need another dog in my home to teach me how to be confident and to bond with. I absolutely LOVE my doggo foster brother and playing with him, so I would love nothing more than to have another pup that wants to run around with me. My dog friend being my best friend is so important for me to continue to live my best life. Because of my fears, I'll need a securely fenced yard to live my happiest life, and you'll see a different side of me when I'm outside playing! I am potty trained on a schedule when you're home with me, but I can also keep my kennel clean for a workday. My foster mom says I'm the easiest little girl because of my sweet demeanor and smarts. I keep myself busy with toys during the day when mom works, so I'd be a great companion for anyone who works from home!  Once I'm comfortable with you, I think I would be really great at agility or other training, too, so feel free to put my border collie abilities to the test! I get really scared by sudden, loud noises and fast movements, so I would do best in a home without little kids. Other than that, I just want all the loving I can get from other dogs and adults! Will you be my new family? Adoption Fee: $595Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.INTERESTED IN MEETING ME? Story
Meet Bruce! Bruce is a 2022 edition of a Red and White Border Collie. He came into NWMNAR as an rescue transfer. Bruce is a very intelligent dog, and knows his basics. This boy would probably excel in agility or be a great jogging partner. Bruce gets along with everyone he meets so far, but has not been tested around children, but better suited for adults due to his energy. Bruce is very responsive, wicked smart, we suspect house trained, and confirmed kennel run and crate trained, neutered, up to date on vaccinations and ready to find his new home. Free adoption applications can be found on our website at: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NMA/Dog. Because NWMNAR is not a public shelter, meet and greets do not take place until an application has been approved and a home visit has been completed in person or virtually. Meet and greets will take place in a public setting along with the adoption if compatible. Dogs can be met in Ada, MN or in our alternate office location in Maple Grove, Mn.

We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience. All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding. Please LIKE Woof River on Facebook! Thank you for choosing rescue!!

Story
Prim is a wonderful dog, the only reason we are rehoming her is because she doesnt like my 5 year old and has nipped at her face. She enjoys older children. She is very laid back, not the border collie personality at all. Shes happy to go on a walk or hike or run but doesnt need it, she loves cuddling on the couch and is a great house companion. She LOVES people and is very friendly. She can be a bit apprehensive meeting other dogs at first but warms up quickly. Shes kennel trained and potty trained, although she does sleep in the bed at night. She is 9 months old and weighs 32 lbs. She is a mixture of breeds, but we only know border collie for sure. She sheds a bit but doesnt mind being brushed and bathed. She is up to date on all shots and will come with food, treats, another month of flea/tick meds, leash and collar, and her favorite toys. Shes truly the perfect dog for a family with older children.

Story
Jinx is a 8 year old border collie looking for a home where he can stay busy and challanged. He is smart, intense and has a high drive. We think he could excel at agility or obedience and likely other dog sports! He needs a home with experience and interest in training. He is a very sweet boy who loves to snuggle as much as play! He is very loyal and wants to please his people. He is housebroken and crate trained. This boy loves to play fetch and can spend hours pushing balls around the yard! Jinx has lived with many dogs and has done well with most, but can be selective. He may do best as an only dog. He is not good with cats. Jinx is neutered, vaccinated, heart worm negative, and microchipped. Jinx is not an easy dog, but he will be an amazing friend to the right family! Jinx is a courtesy post, please do not contact MUSHR but instead email his foster owner at megwagner@hotmail.com and include some information about your family. Jinx is fostered outside of the metro area, you must be willing to travel to meet him.

These pups are in New Hope, Minnesota too!

I love to be outdoors where I can watch the squirrels and chipmunks in the yard.  If you like to go for walks or strolls in the park, I am your boy.  Did I mention that I walk very well on a leash and that I am potty trained? The two large resident dogs are fun to hang out with, too, but I am always up for some snuggle time with my humans.  When it’s time for a nap or a good night sleep, I will go to my crate and just hang out in there. I will be such a good boy for you if you decide to adopt me. I promise!   Adoption Fee: $395Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.INTERESTED IN MEETING ME?
