Story
About Me: Name: Scout Breed (or best guess): Border Collie Mix Approximate Age: 1-2 years old  Gender: Male  Approximate Weight: 35 lbs  Adoption Fee: $450 Requirements: daily exercise and mental stimulation Why In Rescue: Texas Transfer  Profile: Scout is an energetic Border Collie Mix  that came to Bichon and Little buddies from a shelter in Texas. He is a big goof ball that is great with kids and toddlers and is working on basic manners. He still has a lot of puppy energy so an active person or family would be the best fit for him. Scout is crate trained and dog friendly to dogs of all sizes. He is very food motivated which will help with his training!  Scout would be a great candidate for agility. If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $200 - $550 depending on the age of the dog, which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $75 (up to $230 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $75 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS June 1, 2023, 8:11 pm

Story
My Brother gave Aspen to me shortly after he had adopted her from the Humane Society. I had the space/time and my Brother and Sister-in-law just found out that their first child was on the way. They did not have the space for a puppy and a child to live comfortably, but they preferred that she go to someone they knew. Aspen just turned six years old. Since she was a rescue, we like to celebrate her birthday on May 7th. She loves to chase, hunt, dig, go for walks, and be outside! Napping in the shade or in cool A/C is a big part of her day. She is up-to-date with everything vet-related. She receives PROIN daily for urinary issues (humane society spayed her too early in her life), and some joint supplements. On the first of each month she receives Nexgard (fleas/ticks), Heartgard, after her bath. We have a bed and blankets, travel kennel, main kennel, food/water bowls, harness, leash, and many more of her items that would be included with her adoption.

Story
Hi Biggie Paws family! We are so happy to introduce you to Deuce! Deuce is about 3 months old and about 19 pounds. His breed is somewhat of a mystery - he looks like he might be part Collie and Great Pyraneese …we can’t say for sure. What we can tell you with certainty is that we think this puppy is 100% sweet AND adorable! Since Deuce is young, he is still working on some of the basics. He is crate trained, working on going to the bathroom outside and walking on a leash. Deuce already knows the word, “no”, loves to make his humans happy and loves his food - a great combination to help perfect those puppy skills! Deuce LOVES his human friends, both big and small! He is a little shy at first, and it takes him a short time to warm up. Once he does though, he’ll be your pal …and your shadow! He’ll likely follow you around to make sure you’re never too far away. He will curl up next to you on the couch. Even when sleeping, Deuce prefers to be cuddled up with his human in their bed. If he’s too far away (on the floor near the bed), he gets sad and will let you know! Not only does Deuce love people, he also loves other dogs and even gives them kisses. We’re not sure how he feels about cats yet …when he meets one, we’ll let you know! Deuce’s foster parents think that Deuce would benefit by living in a house with another dog - one who can teach him all the puppy things and give him more confidence!Deuce is being fostered in Salem, WI. His adoption fee is $500 plus a deposit of $100. The $100 deposit will be refunded once proof of a timely neuter is given to Biggie Paws. Deuce is up to date on all his age-appropriate shots and is microchipped …so he’s ready for his forever home! Apply to meet this sweet pup today! www.biggiepawsrescue.orgDATCP # 494550

Story
Hello Biggie Paws Family! My name is Cricket - such a cute name for a cute puppy like me, don't you think?! I usually find out about others by sniffing them, but they tell me that humans are a little different …and besides, it’s not so easy to sniff through the computer I guess. 😃 Well …first of all, I am only about 3 months old and around 15 pounds. My small size doesn’t stop me from playing with my 65 pound foster sister though! I might be an Aussie or Collie mix, but people aren’t really sure and just call me Cricket …whatever that kind of dog is? 😉Even though I might not always understand their ways, I really love my humans. I sometimes follow them around (my foster family doesn’t even think I need a fenced yard right now)!I play hard and rest hard! I am a curious puppy and love to go, go, go! I’m great at playing with kids (the best kind of humans), other dogs and exploring my new surroundings. Once I’m done playing though …that’s it! I’m ready for a good rest and love to cuddle with my humans when doing so. At night, I sleep in my crate until morning. I’m getting the hang of all the puppy skills and working on things like walking on a leash and always going potty outside! My foster family says that I am doing a great job, that I adapt well to different situations and that I am always friendly and curious when I meet new people!Well, so many words …but for our awesome Biggie Paws Family humans - I don’t mind! I hope this helped everyone get to know me better? If anyone is interested in meeting me, please fill out the application so we can meet in person (that way I can do the proper sniffing investigation and follow up with some puppy kisses!) Cricket is up to date on all her age-appropriate shots, microchipped and is currently being fostered in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Her adoption fee is $500 plus a $100 deposit for her spay surgery. The $100 deposit will be refunded once proof of a timely spay has been given to Biggie Paws.www.biggiepawsrescue.orgDATCP # 494550

Story
Hey Biggie Paws Family! So …before we get into any of the details, we have to give you a ⚠ warning ⚠ about this foster pup! He is SO cute and SO sweet, you’ll fall in love❤️with him immediately! Just look at those puppy eyes😍 ...at your own risk. 😉Ok, if you’ve decided to read on …here’s some more info! This cutie’s name is Jax. He is about 16 pounds, around 3 months old and is possibly a Collie/Great Pyrenees mix. Jax is crate trained, but has preferred to sleep in the bed with his foster mom where he can cuddle, stretch out and wiggle around some! He is pad trained and is working on going potty outside consistently. This little guy loves to be near his humans and shouldn’t need a fenced yard. He is a very smart pup who is learning quickly. One of the things he is working on right now is learning how to walk on a leash. Now that you’ve heard the basics, here’s some more words of ⚠ caution ⚠ about Jax …he will STEAL your heart! 💓 Jax is truly a good-natured puppy and such a sweetheart. He loves playing, whether it’s with his humans (big or small), other dogs or his toys. Like a typical puppy, he likes to roughhouse with his dog friends and would likely do well in a home with another dog. 🐶 Even though Jax loves to play, he will still make sure he has time for cuddles! He will even let you scoop him up in your arms and carry him around! If you’ve read this far or looked at his pictures, it’s likely too late for you! 😄 Jax has already taken hold of your heart …there’s no turning back now. 😊 If Jax seems like a good fit for your home, please fill out the application in the link below. Jax is currently being fostered in Salem, WI while he looks for his forever home. He is microchipped and is up-to-date on all his age-appropriate shots. His adoption fee is $500 plus a $100 deposit for his neuter surgery. The $100 deposit will be refunded once proof of a timely neuter is given to Biggie Paws.www.biggiepawsrescue.orgDATCP # 494550
