Story
Hi there, I’m Boomer Jr., but my foster mom calls me Boom! I’m about a year old Boxer mix and a total lovebug. I made my way to Minnesota all the way from North Carolina after a hurricane so the shelter there could help more pups in need. Now, I’m ready to find my forever home!   I’m the good boy—fully potty trained, kennel trained, and eager to learn. I’ve already mastered "sit," "lay down," and "get down," and I’m super food-motivated, so teaching me new tricks will be a breeze. I love making doggie friends, especially bigger ones, because sometimes I forget my size and play a little too hard with the tiny pups. I would need a home with another dog because I love to play!   I’m also great in the car—I’ll just curl up and relax while you drive. I do get a bit nervous around new people and might bark or growl at first, but give me a treat or two, and I’ll be your best friend in no time. Because of this, I’d do best in a home without small kids, as sometimes I am anxious.   I’m a playful guy with lots of energy, so a fenced yard would be perfect for me to zoom around in. I love my toys and love antlers and bones to chew on.    If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and fun companion, I’m your pup. I can’t wait to meet you and start our adventures together!    Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:   $525.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 28, 2025, 9:30 pm

Story
Meet Herman! This brave 5-month-old Boxer mix has already been through so much—and come out the other side with nothing but love to give. Found as a stray and a survivor of both abuse and parvo, Herman’s resilience is matched only by his sweet, playful spirit. Herman is thriving in his foster home! He’s crate trained, nearly perfect with house training, and walks beautifully on a leash. He already knows how to sit and lay down, and he’s eager to keep learning. He absolutely adores other dogs and lights up around kids—his happy, wiggly energy is contagious! Herman is looking for a family that will give him the love, safety, and playtime he truly deserves. After a tough start, this boy is more than ready for his happily ever after.     Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. She is young and busy, but she is quick to offer you her belly for rubs. She does best with dogs similar to her size. She prefers to be in an adult only home. Malibu spent several months living in a shelter and it has taken some  time to acclimate back to living in a home. Malibu loves to go on walks and does great with loose leash walking with someone that will give gentle reminders. She loves being outside and playing chase with her foster brother. Story
We adopted Daisy in the Spring of 2023 from an adoption sale in Elk River, MN. She is a sweet 4 year old Lab mix with white and brown, born 01/26/2021 from Arkansas. She is house/kennel trained and good with children. She does well with cats and most other dogs, is playful once comfortable. She is a snuggler and really enjoys affection, treats and walks/hikes. The humbling part we have found with caring for Daisy is that she deserves and needs more of our time and attention that we are not providing. With long commutes & increased childrens activities, we simply are not home and feel we are not providing the best environment for this sweet dog to feel loved and admired. She would do so well with someone who can walk her regularly, play and snuggle her in the day and night. Sad in my heart but know this is the best thing for Daisy as I do not see our schedules improving to be present for a dog like one should. Please help us love Daisy the right way, she is a deserving doggy.

Age: DOB 8/30/2024 Dog friendly: Yes, needs another dog in his home Cat friendly: Yes, dog-savvy cats only Kid friendly: Yes, older/considerate kids only Potty trained: Yes, on a schedule Crate trained: Yes, may bark initially, but settles down pretty quickly If you’re looking for a smiley, loyal, and playful pup, Yoshi is the dog for you! He has lots of energy and zest for life. His favorite past times include… - wrestling with his doggie brother (ask about his signature summersault move) - playing with toys - getting snuggles - being outside (loves our fenced yard, leash training needs work but he is a quick learner) - learning new tricks (he is very smart! Has done great with sit, lie down, and potty bells) Yoshi is the sweetest, little gem of a dog, with lots of personality and some sass. He came to rescue needing lots of love and nourishment. Because of this, he does display some resource guarding, specifically with other dogs and does need to be fed separately (in another room with a door), and not given yummy, chewy treats in the presence of another dog (such as bully sticks). This has been an easy accommodation for us and our resident dog. Yoshi does get quite vocal when playing, and does bark at pups walking past, or loud noises, but he is doing great with redirection! He does well with our kitties, although he very much would like to play with them. He is not aggressive but does try to chase if he’s feeling playful. Adoption Fee: $495

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Yukon (Yuki) was dumped at a high kill shelter in West Texas. He is deaf, but that does not slow him down. Best fit home would have a fenced in yard to keep him safe and a companion dog. He is good with other dogs, kids, and cats (dog savvy ones because he likes to chase to play and lick them). All dogs and puppies require supervision and training.  Yuki can be sometimes be shy at first but don't let that fool you, he quickly warms up and is the best boy. He is a smart boy who learned signs and schedules fast. He loves to run and play with dogs (and cats but he doesn't understand his size to theirs). He loves everyone he meets and thinks all dogs are his friends. He is working on leash skills. He is a gem and anyone would be lucky to have him as part of their family. Because he is deaf, he has a big bark and grumbles when he plays, which sometimes causes another dog to pause to figure out what he really wants..which is to play.  He is a sweet boy who once he knows you enjoys head scratches, but he loves touches from everyone anywhere else. Seeing what is happening is important to him since he can't hear for example, if you try to pet him on the top of the head, he will duck and bob his head to avoid what he can't see but still wants the pets, just under the chin or neck.  His darling underbite doesn't slow him down chowing down his food, but sometimes can make for slobbery handoff when he takes treats. This boy is so much fun and has waited a long time for the right family to find him. Is that you? Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 24, 2025, 2:36 pm
