Story
Hi, my name is Sable and I'm from Missouri. We call her Sweet Sable because she's a love. She is always ready to play with other dogs, and her favorite game in the backyard is to chase and catch her "prey" (a stuffy toy). Inside the house she's a bit of a couch potato, and likes to find the comfiest spot on the sofa or bed in a location from which she can keep an eye on her humans. 😉🐕‍🦺 From the vet: Sable came to rescue with a previous medical history that included a potentially cancerous mass on one of her anal glands. To ensure this mass was not cancerous and would not spread, her anal glands were removed and sent for testing which returned with no signs of cancerous cells. Full lab work and radiographs were also performed to rule out metastasis as well and were clear. At this time, there is no indication that any cancerous cells remain and Sable is medically cleared to be adopted!

Meet Amy  A beautiful Boxer/Lab mix with a heart of gold and eyes that will melt yours. Amy is the definition of a sensitive soul. She’s happiest right by your side—whether she’s quietly keeping you company or soaking up all the cuddles you can give. And don’t forget her favorite comfort: her blankie! Amy loves to burrow underneath it, just poking her nose out to check in on you—it's as adorable as it sounds.  Why You’ll Fall in Love with Amy: The Perfect Travel Buddy – Amy loves car rides and is always ready to hop in for your next adventure. A+ Student – She’s fully potty trained and already knows her “sit” and “stay.” She’s eager to please and a wonderful listener. Gentle & Affectionate – Amy forms deep, meaningful bonds with her people and thrives on love and connection. Great Walking Partner – She enjoys her daily walks and does well on a leash. Amy has also met a cat in her temporary foster home and politely chose to ignore it—what a lady!  What Amy Needs in a Forever Home: Amy can be a bit of a wallflower at first. She’s sensitive to loud or sudden noises and can be unsure around other dogs. With guidance from trainers, she’s already making great progress and does well when given space from other dogs—she’s learning every day! Because of this, Amy would do best in: A calm, patient home that will help her continue building confidence A single-family house, where there are fewer unexpected noises A home where she can feel safe, understood, and loved at her own pace  The Reward: Give Amy a little patience and a peaceful environment, and she’ll give you a lifetime of loyalty, trust, and the coziest snuggles you could ever hope for.   Ready to make Amy part of your family? If you have a quiet home and a big heart, Amy could be your perfect match. Not able to adopt right now? You can still help! Share Amy’s story—her perfect forever home is out there waiting.        Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $475.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 15, 2026, 3:53 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Goofy Goose and her sister, Pluto, found themselves unwanted and in a high kill shelter in West Texas. They are good with other dogs, people, and dog savvy cats .  All dogs and puppies require supervision and training to be successful. She recently arrived in MN. We will update her bio as we get to know her. She has perfected the puppy dog eyes look. She is  great with kids,  kennels great, is respectful of cats, loves other dogs and looks to them for guidance when she is unsure of things. She is working on potty training, catches on quickly to new tricks and is very treat motivated.  First priority will go to someone who lives in the twin cities metro in order to bring to a vetting appointment in early September.  Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 16, 2026, 2:28 pm

Story
Welcome Honey to CCPAL foster Program. Honey is a 3 year old Boxer mixed dog. She is potty trained. We think Honey survived the flood in Kerrville. A good samaritan has taken her in and is giving her good nutrition and love until we find her forever home. She was really scratched up and had a wound on her front left leg. She will be spayed soon and she is going to the vet again for a follow up on her leg. Our guess is it may have gotten broken and healed back on it’s own due to what she has gone through. She is good on a leash, very loving and bonds deeply. She lives with 5 cats right now but she is much too interested and we feel her best home would be without cats. She loves all people and no one is a stranger. She is good with dogs her size and is an energetic girl. Her best home would be with an active and ourdoorsy family that wants a great companion to join them in their outdoor fun. She is looking wonderful and filling out nicely in her new foster home. She lost some muscle around her bum area due to the length of time she was without food. Despite this, she would make an amazing family pet. She would love to be the only dog and be the center of her families attention. She weighs about 40 pounds and is a taller dog but medium weight. She is great in a car and would make a great dog in settings where lots of people are around. She is lower in shedding. She will be getting spayed soon and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Sasha is an absolute sweetheart and a joy to have around. At about 1-1 1/2 years old, this boxer-hound mix has all the best traits of a young, active pup: she's playful, curious, and always ready for her next adventure. She adores people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, large and small, bringing a friendly, tail-wagging, butt-wiggling energy wherever she goes. Sasha is also impressively quick to learn and eager to please, which makes training both fun and rewarding. She's currently working on her house-training skills. She isn't crate-trained at this time because her foster works from home, but with her intelligence and willingness to learn, she has great potential with patient guidance and consistency. She thrives on outdoor time--running around the yard, going to the dog park, or simply sniffing the plants, she's happiest when she gets to enjoy the world around her. While Sasha enjoys playing with other dogs, she's likely to flourish best as the only pup in her new home, where she can get all the attention, structure, and affection she deserves. Anyone looking for an active, loving, and loyal companion will find a truly wonderful friend in Sasha! Sasha is estimated to be 1 year old and 40 lbs. Since we dont know the dogs actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, and have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting.
