Story
Hi, my name is Zero and I am from Tennessee! Zero is a happy-go-lucky puppy with a playful spirit and endless curiosity. He loves exploring his surroundings, chasing toys, and turning everyday moments into fun little adventures. Like a typical puppy, Zero is full of energy, excitement, and affection—always ready for playtime or a good cuddle after he’s worn himself out. He’s learning about the world one paw at a time and would thrive in a home that can continue guiding him with patience and love. Zero’s joyful personality and sweet nature make him an instant companion and a wonderful addition to a family ready for all the fun (and silliness!) that comes with puppyhood. Zero would thrive in an active home where he gets plenty of time, attention, and space to play and grow. He absolutely loves being around people and enjoys the company of other dogs, making him a great fit for a social household or one with a canine companion. Since he hasn’t been around cats yet, slow and proper introductions would be important if there are cats in the home. As a young, energetic pup, Zero will need regular exercise, playtime, and continued guidance to help him develop into a well-mannered adult dog. He is currently working on crate training and potty training and is making progress with consistency and routine. A family that can match his energy level and invest time in training and enrichment will be the perfect fit for him.

She has a calm, docile nature and enjoys being held, often snuggling right up next to her human for naps and quiet time. While she may be a bit reserved at first, her sweet personality shines as she gets comfortable. She does well with other dogs and is great with kids, and while she enjoys some playtime, she mostly loves to relax and cuddle. Baby Ruth would do best in a loving home that can continue building her confidence. She is a typical puppy who will need regular exercise and enrichment. Story
Betty is a petite, sassy, loving 8 year old boxer mix that LOVES her people. She is the kind of dog that will follow you from room to room as you go about your day. She'll lay at your feet but would definitely prefer to be on the couch.   We don't know much about Betty's history other than she likely had a rough go of things for a while. She was very skinny when she came into rescue and the fur on her haunches and belly was stained yellow. She is now living her best life in her foster home, getting all of the love and food she needs.   While Betty can coexist nicely with other dogs, her foster mama thinks she'd prefer to be an only dog as every now and then, she can get a little salty with the other dogs in her foster home. She also prefers to meet dogs on her terms only. She does do very well with dog-savvy cats and kids. She has been making notable progress with her potty training, especially when she's on a schedule. Betty does perfectly fine in her kennel at night and when her foster family is away from the home.   If you're looking for a chill adult dog that will only ever ask you for love (and treats), Betty is your girl. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Dental, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Hi there, I’m Boomer Jr., but my foster mom calls me Boom! I’m about a year old Boxer mix and a total lovebug. I made my way to Minnesota all the way from North Carolina after a hurricane so the shelter there could help more pups in need. Now, I’m ready to find my forever home!   I’m the good boy—fully potty trained, kennel trained, and eager to learn. I’ve already mastered "sit," "lay down," and "get down," and I’m super food-motivated, so teaching me new tricks will be a breeze. I love making doggie friends, especially bigger ones, because sometimes I forget my size and play a little too hard with the tiny pups. I would need a home with another dog because I love to play!   I’m also great in the car—I’ll just curl up and relax while you drive. I do get a bit nervous around new people and might bark or growl at first, but give me a treat or two, and I’ll be your best friend in no time. Because of this, I’d do best in a home without small kids, as sometimes I am anxious.   I’m a playful guy with lots of energy, so a fenced yard would be perfect for me to zoom around in. I love my toys and love antlers and bones to chew on.    If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and fun companion, I’m your pup. I can’t wait to meet you and start our adventures together!    Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $450 plus taxJimmy is a friendly, playful boy with a heart as big as his smile! Jimmy coming to us from an overcrowded shelter where dogs were being doubled and even tripled up in kennels due to lack of space. Despite that rough start, Jimmy has kept his happy spirit and is ready for a fresh start in a loving home. He’s still young, so he’s got puppy energy and is learning about the world around him. Jimmy enjoys meeting new people, gets along well with other dogs, and would love a home where he can stretch his legs, play, and keep building confidence. Jimmy is looking for a family who will give him the time, patience, and love he deserves. In return, he’ll bring endless tail wags, cuddles, and companionship. Ready to give Jimmy the home he’s been waiting for? Update From The Vet:I wanted to send a little update on Jimmy. He has ectropion in both eyes, which means the eyelids roll outwards which is why he has that extra pink tissue showing. Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD Michael is an adorable, curious, bully breed mix puppy. He’s laid back and has adapted quickly to our household. He gets along very well with our two dogs and respects our old basset hounds corrections. He’s pretty interested in our cats but not fixated and will walk by them without chasing. I’m not 100% convinced he’s cat safe but he does well with dog savvy cats under supervision. He's really mellow and loves being around people and has a funny personality, he loves to hang out wherever you are. He has not had any accidents and appears to be potty trained. He likes his kennel and sleeps in that or his play pen at night. His leash manners are very good around the house and yard and he is really likes to learn new things. He was very good for his bath. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. Story
Location: Glencoe, MN Hi, I’m Pepper! 🐾 I’m an 8-year-old bundle of love wrapped in the softest fur and the kindest heart. My foster family says I’m one of the sweetest souls you’ll ever meet. Once I get to know you, I’ll be your shadow, your snuggle buddy, and your biggest fan. I love giving kisses, curling up next to you, and being the center of your world - because to me, you’ll be the center of mine. At first, I can be a little cautious when meeting new people. I just need a little time to feel safe, but once I do, my whole heart belongs to you. When you earn my trust, you’ll see my goofy, affectionate side - the part of me that loves to play, lean in for hugs, and make you laugh with my big, silly “lap dog” personality (all 80 pounds of it!). I currently live with another female dog who’s 5 years old, and we have so much fun together! We love to play and chase - though sometimes I forget my own strength. I also love my naps and have been told my snoring is absolutely adorable. It’s just one of my many charms! I adore toys (maybe a little too much!), so I prefer to have my own stash to keep things peaceful. I’m also a big fan of treats, and I’m happy to share as long as everyone gets one! I’m mostly house-trained and try so hard to be a good girl. If I ever have an accident, it’s never on purpose. I always feel bad and want to make it right because I really do try my best to make my humans proud. My foster parents say they truly don’t want to let me go, but they know there’s a perfect family out there who will love me unconditionally and make me the center of their world. I still have so much life to live and even more love to give. I’m full of joy, warmth, and loyalty and I’m just waiting for someone who will see me for the beautiful, loving companion I am. If you’re looking for a gentle, devoted, and endlessly loving best friend to share your heart and home with, I promise - I’m your girl. All I need is a chance, and I’ll spend the rest of my life showing you just how special forever can be. ❤️ --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Minneapolis, MN If you are looking for a pup with a lot of love and a lot of wiggles, Jillian is your girl. With big, beautiful amber eyes, Jillian’s personality easily shines through. While she is a huge sweetheart, she does need continued boundary work as she thinks the best way to let others know she loves them and wants to play is to get right up into their personal space! Fortunately, she is a little smarty pants and is picking up on cues and commands very quickly. Jillian is also continuing to improve with crate training even if she will default to a dramatic puppy flop before walking into the crate willingly. Her progress is best with the help of treats as bribes! We have learned that when crated, she does a lot better in a high-traffic area as she seems to relax when she is able to see what is going on around her. She does cry a bit when crated, but only because she has a serious case of FOMO, but appears to be calming more quickly as time goes on. While Jillian has not been left alone for long periods of time in the house, during the short bouts, she has done really well and usually is just lounging on the sofa. Jillian is primarily potty-trained but sometimes seems to “forget” she can’t just pee wherever is most convenient; with that being said, accidents are becoming more and more uncommon. She does very well with potty prompts and will wait for someone to accompany her when she needs to pee outside but doesn’t hesitate to explore once she is there. Since we are still gauging her overall reactiveness and recall, we always keep an eye on her in the backyard even though it is fenced in. Jillian has a lot of energy, is outgoing, and loves to play with both four-legged friends and humans. She does have a high prey-drive and would do best in a house that does not have any other pets aside from dogs. Jillian is also taking several walks a day to work on her leash skills and catching on really quickly - we are learning to “leave it”, “wait”, and “eyes” (when needing her attention); she tends to crowd and pull on the leash so we are also working on side by side walking and pressure commands with the leash. With patience and consistency, she will no doubt continue to improve. Most days, Jillian will be out playing in the backyard with her foster brother Meeka, a husky, taking walks through the neighborhood, playing with her squeak toys, getting all the pets, and curled up on the couch or dog bed taking a nap. In just a short amount of time, Jillian has learned both the verbal and nonverbal signals for “sit”, “wait”, “hands in”, and “lie down”. While we haven’t done tons of car rides, she seems very interested in hopping in whenever the car door is open. She is eager to learn and very treat-motivated! Jillian is a sweet, playful, and loyal pup who is looking for a loving, active family to grow with. If you are ready for a lively spirit, funny personality, and unconditional companionship - Jilly Bean will be a great fit! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
