Story
Location: Savage, MN Hello! My name is Storm! The name only fits me sometimes - I can be a bit of a tornado when my humans come home from work or right when I get my day started, but I calm down pretty quickly and transform into the biggest cuddle bug. Don't let my stoic pictures fool you.. I am a happy boy who doesn't hold back my love! Not to squeak my own toy, but my foster parents say I am the easiest foster they have ever had. The crate isn't my favorite place to be, but I hang out in there just fine, and will even sleep in there if I have to. I LOVE my big foster brothers! We run around the yard and play and then snuggle up together for a nap. They showed me the ropes and let me right in to their pack (after a proper slow introduction, of course!). I'd love a fur sibling of my very own to grow up with! I do sometimes pull on my leash when we go out for walks, but ya can't really blame me because the world is just so exciting, am I right!? I can't wait to find my forever family and bring them as much joy as I've given my foster family. What are you waiting for??? Apply to meet me so I can show you how amazing I am! My tiger stripes look even cooler in person, just sayin'.. -------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
From Foster: Hello, my name is Lady, and I've had that name ever since my humans made me a part of their family when I was little. For years I lived with human kids and my younger dog sister who looks almost exactly like me. Recently my dog sister and I met another human family - actually, a big group of humans acting like family - when my original human family had some trouble and needed my dog sis and me to stay with someone else for a while. We met our new human family and their two dog siblings - we immediately starting having fun together. Things changed, my dog sister went back with our original family. I'm OK though - I have my new family and new dog friends. We stay in the house during the day; the humans think we sleep all day but I assure you we do fun things together! in the afternoons and evenings we play in the yard, go for walks, and snuggle up on the couch. I don't bark or jump on people, and I walk really well on the leash (I just need to stop and sniff things a lot). I can be home all day without having to be let out (remember, the humans think I'm sleeping all day). I love my toys, especially the plushy ones and chewing on nylabones - I often have a toy in my mouth. I would love to be part of your family - adult humans, small humans, other dog friends, maybe even cats. Meet me and let me show you how special I am!

Story
From the Foster: Ajax is a gentle, sweet guy approaching 9 years old. He requires moderate levels of daily exercise and has pep in his step! His favorite activity is fetching his rubber ball in the yard. He is a solid guy that might pull a little on walks to sniff something special so the handler must be strong enough to redirect him. Ajax is indifferent to other dogs, he will walk past them with barely a look. In our home, he is very respectful of our grumpy 11 year old small dog and they basically ignore each other. Ajax has recently begun a veterinary prescribed weight loss plan with the goal of losing 13 pounds to get him to his ideal 53 pound size. This will require a potential adopter to feed twice daily at the prescribed quantities and limit treats during the day. He has been doing great on this plan and enjoys hugs and "good boy" pets rather than treats anyway! He is very much motivated by food and will lay in the kitchen watching intently while the humans are preparing food however, he does not beg or try to jump up. Ajax will thrive best in a home where the humans are home most of the day. He would be a great companion to empty nesters, retired and work from home parents that enjoy multiple daily walks to keep him stimulated. He is a quiet dog and only barks as appropriate to alert us to a delivery van, someone at the door, unusual noises, thunder/lightning. He follows us around the home often throughout the day and has displayed a little anxiety/panic whining when he is left alone for short periods but hoping this improves once he's been here longer and more comfortable in his new environment. He has a few old guy "lumps and bumps" on his belly but all have been tested and nothing of concern. Ajax is taking a daily joint supplement Dasuquin for joint health as he ages. This supplement can be purchased at pet stores and over the counter. Ajax is not tested with Cats and it is unknown if he is crate trained. He is a champ at going to bed and sleeps quietly on his orthopedic bed for a solid 8 hours until his humans get up.

I am looking for a foster or forever family! I need a temp foster from July 30-31. I also need a temp foster from August 6-11. Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org if you can help! Hi! I'm Red. I'm from Missouri. From his foster: Red is a super sweet and affectionate boxer bulldog mix. He is good with people and other dogs, but we are not sure about cats. Red is very quiet and so far hasn't reacted when people have come inside the home. He doesn't need much exercise; a few 5 - 10 minute walks per day, or a few times outside each day in a fenced yard are enough. For these reasons, he would probably do well in any type of home environment. He is very friendly and insistent on approaching people and other dogs on walks, so we are working on his leash manners. Red is very treat motivated, so he will need to continue his training with treats on hand. Red is crate trained, potty trained, and he loves going on car rides. Red can be a little stubborn on walks when a person or another dog catches his attention. He also tires quickly on his walks, especially when it is warm outside.

Story
Hi! I'm Monkey. I am from Texas. From her foster: Monk (aka monkey) is a sweet girl that is eager to please! She loves her humans and wants to hang with the family, but will go in her kennel upon command and does not whine, cry or bark in protest. Monkey walks well on a leash and is working on learning basic commands like sit, down, leave it, off. Monkey has been on a regular schedule and has not had any potty accidents inside. She is an inquisitive, sweet, cuddler and will make a great family pet! She has been a great playmate for our 10 & 12 year old kids. Although, at times, Monkey can enter full puppy mode and get a little wild. She has met our two cats and seems to be a tender, gentle pup that is curious but wouldn't try to hurt them. Her fur is soft and her ears feel like velvet! She has pink skin and thin hair, sun screen may need to be a consideration for this sweet girl.

Story
Hi! My name is Karen and I am from Kentucky! From her foster: Karen is such a sweet puppy! Her favorite activities include exploring outside for as long as possible, playing with her sisters, and finding cozy nooks to nap in. She is pretty independent, but does love attention from time to time. She can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but has warmed up to all people/kids she has met, and she loves other dogs. Potty training and crate training are still a work in progress. She is highly food motivated, so she should have no problem picking it up with some more time.

Story
Location: Plymouth, MN My name is Hank. My foster hoomans say I'm a good boy with a big head, how rude! I love attention! I like to be where my hoomans are so that I can get all the belly rubs. I learned that if I put my paw up, the hoomans will scratch my belly and paws. I just love the belly scratches, they makes me smile. I can sit, shake, and stay (ok, I'm working on that last one a little). I try to be good in my kennel and bark for a minute so someone will notice me. When they don't, I just take a nap. I love to sleep on the hooman beds but I'm ok in my bed at night as well. I wait like a good boy in the morning to go outside too! I like to go for walks and don't even bark at other hoomans or dogs when they walk by. I love the snacks on the ground during the walks (my foster hoomans call them helicopters and leaves?). I only pull a little on the leash when I'm excited to smell a new smell. I don't think I have met a cat yet. I'm curious about the little furry thing they keep in the cage (the hoomans call it a Hamster). I'm excited to be around other dogs but sometimes they is scared of me (that makes me sad). I like to protect my toys and sometimes bark if the other dogs touch them. I don't bite the hoomans, I likes to lick them. Especially when we snuggles with my bankets and they gives me the treats. I like the bigger hooman kids because they is not scared of me. The little ones are ok. My dream home would have the older hooman kids, and another dog my size that I can plays with; or a home by myself so I can get all the attention. I like other people but need to make sure they are safe for my family first. Please come adopt me so that we can go on all the walks. I am so excited to find my forever home so that I can cuddle with my hoomans and lay with my bankets. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Faribault, MN Hello, my name is Eva (Ava), my foster mom also likes to call me Evis bo bavis or just Evis for short. I came from South Dakota where it's suspected I was very heavily bread. I came with some puppies and my body condition showed signs of having many litters. I have a mom bod if you will. I was very nervous of news things and new people. I made a lot of people really nervous because I wanted to play using my mouth but my foster mom knew I just needed some tough love. I've been here for 3 months already, In rescue for 5 months total. I've had a lot of training with foster mom but she knows I still need more to come... I can be stubborn sometimes. I'm looking for a home with absolutely no cats and no future of having any. I'm good with dogs but generally the calmer ones, I have a very hyper foster sister and shes honestly not my favorite. I tolerate her at best. I need someone who has experience with strong dogs, both mentally and physically. My foster mom can help anyone with training but if you have prior experience with training dogs even better! New people scared me a lot when I first got here but foster mom has helped me learn it's all about baby steps. One of my favorite things to do is go for car rides, it helps me get out in the world and learn that not everyone wants to hurt me. When we're not training I LOVE to play with my super chewer squeaky toys. I also get a stuffed one every once and awhile and those are so fun to destroy. I love to zoom all over the back yard and act crazy but then once it's time to come in and settle down I'm great at napping. Mom says I snore LOUD, so heads up haha! My foster mom has a long history of working with scared pups like me. If the right person comes along and doesn't have experience but wants to learn in order to give me a good home, even better. It's predicted I'm 5 but I don't act like it so who knows. All I know is I'm ready for my forever home. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Brooklyn Park, MN Meet Murphy, who loves to play with her siblings and when done will cuddle and give kisses to her foster mom/family. She will stand her ground when playing and has a good relationship with the other foster dog in her home. She mostly ignores the cats in her foster home. She loves frolicking with her foster siblings outdoors, but she also knows how to unwind indoors. She is eager to learn new things and is working on potty training. She is currently sleeping in a kennel at night. Murphy is dog, cat, and kid friendly. She does well with dogs of all ages and sizes. She lives in a foster home with other dogs and cats. is outgoing and playful and would benefit from having an older dog in his forever home or training to continue learning as she grows. Although she loves other dogs, she is perfectly fine being a solo dog in her home if she gets plenty of time with her human(s) and gets to have puppy play dates to continue her socialization skills as she gets older. She also lives with kitties and is learning to respect their boundaries when they communicate, they do not want to deal with his puppy antics. She would be fine joining a family with dog-friendly cats: however, would require slow introductions with cats who have not been around dogs before. Her playful, loving, and caring temperament makes her the perfect pup to join a family with kids of all ages. She would love to have some human kids in his forever home to play and cuddle with --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
