Story
Oreo/ Largo Available for adoption www.VIPRESCUE.org Breed: Papillon Mix Age: 7 yr young Sex: Male Weight: 16 lb (needs to lose some) Color: White/Black Gets along with dogs: yes - Prefers to be your one love Gets along with Cats: Unknown Kids: Adult only home Are you looking for a chill guy who loves short walks, hanging out in the yard or in front of the TV with you? Then you absolutely need to meet 7 year old Oreo! Another cutie Ms. Betsy saw when she was at Animal Services picking up Macy. Oreo’s family could no longer care for him, so they surrendered him so he could find another home. Well, little Oreo hit the jackpot because he came into our rescue! This little boy had a lumpy bump on his tummy, and a cherry eye. Both have been taken care of by our “dog” ter, He does have an ulcer in one of his eyes which will require daily eye drops that are not expensive, and this good boy takes his drops like a champ! Oreo literally races to the couch so he can get the primo snuggle spot pressed up against foster Moms leg. When it’s time for nite nite, he races over and jumps into foster mom’s arms so she can put him in his bed. He’s not into the dog type of bed, he’s definitely a people bed kind of pup! Ha! In the morning, he will go out to do his business, then come in for a snuggle on your lap while you have your coffee. He adores food, but needs to lose a few pounds and is now on a healthy diet. Though he would love to spend all day with you, he understands you have to go out sometimes, he will gladly nap on the couch til you get home, but watch out! He turns into a fanboy like at Comic-Con and you are his favorite character! There is no possible way anyone could be any happier than Oreo when you get home. Doesn’t everyone want their very own fan club? Then Oreo is the boy for you! Oreo would prefer an adult only home where he will be your only “child”, he gets along with other dogs, but does prefer to be your one and only. Please keep in mind he will need to be groomed every 8-10 weeks and that can run anywhere from $60.00 ~$120.00 per visit, so you’ll need to prepare for that in your budget. Oreo is fully vetted, he’s been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, had a dental and is on his heartworm and flea prevention. How about it, does he sound like your dream doggie? He sure hopes so. Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application for this amazing boy! Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and number for each vet. This breed typically lives 15-18 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pets estimated lifespan. All of us at VIP Rescue are Volunteers, with families, jobs and pets of our own, so please be kind and patient. We select the most fitting application for the dog, not necessarily the timeliest adoption application. Please make sure to read the entire bio on the pet you’re interested in before applying to adopt to make sure you meet the pets needs. Thank you for thinking rescue. Daisy Redington Beach Available for adoption VIPRescue.org Dog Name: Daisy/Redington Beach DOB: 11/12/2018 (approx) DOG BREED: Maltese mix DOG WEIGHT: 8.2lbs GENDER: Female HOUSE TRAINED: PeePad trained working on leash walks LOCATION: Redington Beach, FL GOOD WITH DOGS: Yes, similar size. No large dogs GOOD WITH KIDS: Not recommended GOOD WITH CATS: Not recommend COLOR: White FENCED YARD: Recommended, she is very nervous on the leash, Not required(with an experienced handler), but if you have one, because she’s so tiny, she will need supervision when in yard at all times. **We will verify ALL information on your application, any incomplete applications will be closed** Everybody say ahhhhhh….. Why it’s sweet sweet Daisy, an 8.2lb 7 year old cutie pie! Little Miss Daisy has had a challenging life, being crated most of the time with limited socialization and human contact. Sadly, her human became ill, and was no longer able to care for her and she was surrendered to VIP Rescue. Unfortunately, we were also told she had never been to the Vet for any care, so of course the very first thing we did was take her to our Vet for a full work up. Thank goodness all is well with her. Daisy has been doing well in her foster home, but was quite nervous at first, especially with the outside environment, but seems to be settling in. She is learning to trust foster Mom, and has started to show some curiosity with things inside and outside of the home. Leash walking is a bit of a challenge, (remember she lived in a crate and didn’t go outside) the first few days she was scared of the leash and would “pancake” on the ground when leashed, so foster Mom put her in a “sling” and carried her around. Daisy seemed to like that, her little nose was just a twitching with all the sniffies in the air….too cute…After a couple of days of being carried and catered to, she showed some interest in walking with the pack, and is slowly becoming a “pro” at leash walking! She does stop frequently to “smell the roses” and really likes her walks now. You go girl! She is indifferent with the other pups in the foster home, so she could either be your one and only or with another established pup her size. The ideal home for Daisy is a quieter adult only home with someone who is definitely home more often than not, ideally a retiree or an adult that works from home. With a secure fenced yard attached to the home. She is a sweetie, but will need time and patience to continue building her confidence and trust in her humans. Also something to keep in mind is that she will require regular grooming which can run anywhere from $60.00 and up for each session, so please be prepared in your budget for that very important expense. Daisy has been spayed, had a recent dental, is current on her vaccines and also on her monthly flea and heartworm prevention. Might she be the gal for you? If so, please visit www.viprescue.org and fill out an adoption application! VIP Rescue reserves the right to approve or disapprove adoption applications submitted based on each dogs specific needs. If your adoption application is approved, you will be required to travel to the dogs foster home to meet the dog. Story
Willow / Myakka City Available for adoption www.VIPRESCUE.org Breed: Standard Poodle Age: 2.5 yr DOB 1-13-2023 Sex: Female Weight: 50 lb Color: White Gets along with DOGS: Yes Gets along with Cats: No Kids: Respectful 13+ with dog experience Fenced Yard: Yes, 6 ft or higher secured fenced in yard is required. Meet Willow, a super friendly, 2 1/2 year old 50lb. girl that acts like your typical 2 year old standard poodle, active and on the go! Her ideal home would consist of active adults who can commit to several walks or a run, and games at least a couple times a day. We think Willow could do great at something like FastCat ( a timed 100 yard dash for dogs where they chase a lure down a straight course) or agility. We recommend that there be no young children, tiny dogs, or cats in the home because littles move quickly and startle her, and she’s also not aware of her size and can play a little rough. She’d love a committed family who is able to do more training with her. She is smart as a whip and has a ton of potential. Although friendly, she is a little skittish at first but does warm up and it will take a couple of days for her to get used to her new family and surroundings, so Willow’s new home must have the time and patience with her. Willow is great on a leash, and is always up for adventures. She has been taken to busy activities and does well. She also does well with other dogs medium size and larger. She’s doing well with training and knows sit, stay, come, fetch, hoop (jump through) and again, would benefit with some additional training both mentally and physically to help burn off some of her high energy. She loves to play outside, she gets the zoomies and loves to play with and in water. Willow’s new home is required to have at least a 6ft or higher secured fenced in yard, sorry, there are no exceptions, because this is what she needs due to her energy level and safety. Willow is very playful, however she does get fearful with strangers at first (barks and backs away) until she feels comfortable. One more thing to consider if you’re interested in adopting this fabulous gal, is the cost of grooming. She’ll require regular Grooming, which can be costly, so please keep that in mind as part of your budget. Willow is completely housebroken, spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and is on heartworm and flea prevention as well. So, what do you think? Do you have the time, patience and energy to keep up with our amazing Willow? If you’d like to add her to your family, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. *** Willow is fostered in MYAKKA CITY, FL. You must travel to MYAKKA CITY to meet Willow and bring any other pets and residents you have for the meeting. If you would like more information on Willow, or to be considered for adoption, you must complete an adoption application at www.viprescue.org. Our volunteer will contact you once your application is approved. We are unable to respond to your emails and messages without you first completing an adoption application. **ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS** You must be a Florida resident and a homeowner, be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care.If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and number for each vet. She is now and active lizard hunter. **We will verify ALL information on your application, any incomplete applications will be closed** 11-24-25 - PUPDATE We’d like you to read our sweet Dixie’s update. As she becomes more comfortable and familiar with her new surroundings in her foster home, her true personality is coming out and she is absolutely adorable! She has become an expert Lizard chaser as she can find them anywhere. She perks up as soon as she spies one and the chase is on or even hide and seek is fun to. We discovered Dixie’s playful drive at the Dogtoberfest held last weekend in Dunedin. Our tent location was facing the Lure course (flag on a remote control line and the dogs are stimulated chasing it) Yes Dixie most certainly had her turn and boy did she love it. She completed one entire circuit around the course. You go girl! Ha! As you can see, our darling lizard chasing lure coursing girl most certainly will enjoy an active household, and maybe one that will get her involved in some type of agility? We bet she’d love it! Dixie is still in search of her “Fur"ever home. If you are ready to welcome this sweet active girl into your heart and home, please visit our website VIPRescue.org to review her complete bio, and if you think you’d be the perfect fit for her, please fill out an adoption application as we’re sure Dixie would love to be settled in her new home for the Holidays! 11-13-25 Well hello there! I’m Dixie, a 7 year old 16lb Pommy mix girl! My human became ill and could no longer take care of me, and surrendered me to VIP Rescue. As soon as I got here, I went straight to the “dogtor” for a complete check up as I had never been to a place like that before. Thank goodness all is well and I’m ready to find my new human to share my life with! My ideal new place would a quieter, active adult home, no kids please, with someone who is home most of the time, either a retiree or maybe an adult who works from home, with a secure fenced yard. Foster Mom has other littles in the house, I like them, but I could also be your one and only and you can spoil me rotten. I get all kinds of excited when I hear Mom gathering the leashes for a walk, I really like that, cuz I get to do all the “sniffies” in the neighborhood and boy, do I like those! I’m working on “housebreaking” training, (whatever 🙃 lol) and am currently tinkle pad trained. I’m learning to go outside when we go on those awesome walks with foster Mom. Since I’m so cute and fluffy, keep in mind that I will need regular grooming appointments which can run anywhere from $60.00 and up each time, so please prepare that in your budget cuz that’s really important for me to have done. I’m spayed, current on my vaccines, had a recent dental, am microchipped and on flea and heartworm prevention as well. If you’re interested in me or in both me and my friend Daisy, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. Hope to meet you soon! Story
Meet the Catahoula Leopard Dog – The True Southern Explorer! Maggie is a true Catahoula breed at heart and her breed description is spot on with her personality...... The Catahoula Leopard Dog, often called the “Catahoula Cur,” is a striking and intelligent breed known for its colorful coat, piercing eyes, and boundless energy. Originally bred in Louisiana for herding wild hogs and cattle, this breed is the definition of hardworking, loyal, and independent. Catahoulas are natural problem-solvers and thrive when they have a job to do. They’re highly active dogs who love the outdoors — running, hiking, swimming, or exploring new scents are all in a day’s work for this determined pup. While they may not always be overly affectionate lap dogs, they’re deeply devoted to their people and form strong bonds with their families. Because of their intelligence and energy, Catahoulas do best with experienced owners who can provide structure, training, and plenty of physical and mental stimulation. A home with room to roam — a big yard, farm, or land — is ideal for this adventurous breed. With the right companion, the Catahoula Leopard Dog is a loyal, courageous, and endlessly fascinating partner ready to take on the world by your side. If you would like to meet me, please complete an online questionnaire and one of our adoption counselors will be reaching out to see if I will be a good fit for you and your home.  Hope to see you soon!  https://www.fluffanimalrescue.org/adoption-application My adoption fee includes my sterilization, microchip and registration, all core vaccines to date, dewormer and 1st month's Flea and Heartworm Preventatives. Story
Meet Winston! Born into FLUFF in January 2022, Winston started life surrounded by care and love. Adopted as a puppy, we had high hopes for his happily-ever-after. Sadly, nearly three years later, Winston’s family surrendered him back to the rescue in January of this year. While we always welcome FLUFF animals back with open arms, Winston’s return broke our hearts.  With time, patience, and love, Winston has made incredible strides. He’s learning that life isn’t so scary after all! Winston would thrive with an experienced foster or adopter who can continue helping him build confidence, offering structure and obedience training. His ideal home will be calm, patient, and kind, providing the stability he needs to flourish. Due to his nervous nature, Winston would do best in a home without children, where he can receive gentle and understanding care at his own pace. He’s also on a weight-loss journey, working toward shedding about 15 lbs. to become a healthier, happier pup. Could you be the one to help Winston continue his transformation? Whether through fostering or adoption, you could change his world forever.  https://www.fluffanimalrescue.org/adoption-application Adoption fee includes neuter, microchip and registration, all age appropriate vaccines and preventatives through adoption date! Thanks for considering adoption! *Information deemed reliable, but not guarenteed* ##1367757##
