Story
Meet Sweet Maggie Maggie is a beautiful Cattle dog, Akita, German Shepherd, Collie mix searching for a loving family to call her own. (We did her DNA test) Personality and Needs Maggie will benefit from friendly socialization and training to help her grow in confidence. She may also enjoy having a confident dog companion who can support her as she learns and adjusts to her new life. Because of high prey drive, dogs smaller than Maggie are not recommended. Training and Behavior Recently, Maggie completed several weeks of obedience training, where she learned how to sit, heel, and recall on lead. She is comfortable in a crate and will seek out her crate when she wants some quiet time alone. Although rather shy, a family with patience who can give her the time and space to feel at ease in her new environment will help her adjust. Likes and Ideal Home Maggie loves playing in water, going for long walks, and spending time with other dogs her size or larger. She would thrive in a home with a confident dog to socialize with, which would help her build her own confidence. With the right family and environment, Maggie is sure to shine and become a cherished member of the household. Retriever (Unknown Type) American Pit Bull Terrier

Story
Macie Rose is one of our longest residents at the shelter. She has spent 7 years waiting for her forever home. Though she is quiet, affectionate, and well-mannered, her medical condition has led to being overlooked. Macie Rose has congestive heart disease that requires two daily medications, Lasix and Benzodiazepine. These are quite inexpensive drugs but must be given daily for the rest of her life. Medical condition aside, when she is out of her kennel, she loves to explore the play yard. She’s good at both relaxation and play, depending on what the occasion calls for. She’ll enjoy a game of fetch or to curl up beside you. She loves walks and she is super easy on leash! Macie Rose has lived with cats before and has a calm demeanor that makes her an ideal companion. We'd love to find her a home for the holidays!
