Stella

American Staffordshire Terrier Mixed Breed (Medium)

Good with kids, Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This 4-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix is the definition of a lovable goofball. With her quintessential Staffy face and those deep, soulful eyes, Stella has a way of melting hearts instantly — and her personality is just as beautiful. Stella is full of energy and absolutely loves her zoomies! She enjoys playtime with toys (tug is her favorite!) and can keep herself entertained, but nothing makes her happier than spending time with her people. She’s affectionate, eager to please, and has no concept of personal space — she’ll happily climb right into your lap for cuddles and attention. When it comes to other dogs, Stella can get a little overexcited at first, so slow and controlled introductions are important. She’s great with kids, but would do best in a home without cats. This smart girl is potty-trained and already knows her basic commands. She is crate-trained, but the chaotic shelter environment tends to stress her out, causing her to push her snout against her crate (hence the redness seen around her nose and lips). However, we're working with her to help her be more comfortable here, and she's getting better every day. Stella is searching for a family who can give her the exercise, structure, and love she needs to thrive — and in return, she’ll shower you with all the loyalty and affection you could ever want. If you’re looking for a devoted companion with a big heart (and an even bigger personality), Stella might just be your perfect match!

Story
Mr. Hades is a 5.5-year-old shepherd/mastiff mix with kind and slightly droopy eyes, pointy ears, and a handsome salt-and-pepper muzzle that perfectly matches his gentle soul. This adorably big goofball was surrendered from a loving home through no fault of his own and is now ready to settle back into a family where he can give (and receive) all the love he has to offer. Despite his intimidating size, Hades is truly one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. He can be a little wary of strangers at first, but once he realizes you’re a friend, he transforms into a gigantic baby who lives for affection. He loves leaning into his people for pets, eventually flopping over to offer his belly for rubs. One of his favorite moves is gently jumping up to put his paws on your shoulders for a hug—maybe not perfect manners, but undeniably adorable. Expect snoot boops, the occasional happy lick, and a loyal companion who will curl up at your feet for a snooze. Hades is very much a velcro dog and happiest when he’s close to his humans. Hades gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys playing, especially with dogs closer to his size. He’s also perfectly content to relax nearby, happily chewing on a bone while you go about your day. As a true gentle giant, he does well with cats, dogs, and kids alike. He is fully potty-trained, knows his basic commands, and is crate-trained, though he does experience some separation and crate anxiety. Our team is working with him daily, and he’s making steady progress as he learns that being alone is safe and temporary. Hades would thrive in a home looking for a goofy, affectionate, gentle giant to shower with love, attention, and plenty of treats. If you’re ready for a loyal shadow with a heart of gold, Hades may be your perfect match.

Glitter

German Shepherd Dog Mixed Breed (Medium)

Female, 3 mos

Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with cats,
Story
We have to start with the obvious: look at those ears! Not all the way up, not all the way down—perfectly slanted and impossibly adorable. At just 3.5 months old, this female German Shepherd mix already shines in every way, and her name, Glitter, fits her sparkly personality perfectly. Glitter is the spunkiest of her siblings and easily the bravest—this girl has no fear. She’s curious, adventurous, and loves to run around exploring the world. Right now, her favorite activity is rough-housing and playing with other dogs, no matter their size. Bigger dogs don’t intimidate her one bit! Playing is her preferred way to burn off energy, and trust us—it works wonders. Once the fun winds down and she’s all tuckered out, Glitter turns into a cuddle bug. She’ll happily curl up in your arms or snuggle right next to you to stay warm while she sleeps. Glitter does wonderfully with kids (keeping in mind she’s still in her mouthy puppy stage), does fine with cats, and is learning the ropes with potty training and crate training, both of which are still a work in progress. She would thrive in any family looking for a quirky-eared pup with a shimmery personality and a sparkling heart to match. If you’re ready for laughter, love, and a little extra sparkle in your life, Glitter just might be your girl.

Story
Meet Taylor, a 3.5-month-old mixed-breed sweetheart whose light coat and bright eyes give him a stunning, one-of-a-kind look. With his classic puppy-dog eyes and gentle expression, he’s impossible not to fall in love with. Taylor is a toy enthusiast through and through—if it squeaks, rolls, or can be chewed, he’s a fan! He loves making new friends and plays well with dogs of all sizes. Though he can be a little shy when meeting new people, a bit of patience and affection is all it takes for him to warm up and show his goofy, loving personality. He has all the puppy excitement you’d expect at his age and is ready to explore everything life has to offer. This adorable boy gets along wonderfully with other dogs and kids. He’s still learning not to bark at cats, but with his gentle nature, we’re confident he can learn to get along with feline friends in time. Taylor is making great progress with both potty-training and crate-training and is very close to mastering them. Taylor would thrive in a home ready to give a quieter, sensitive puppy the chance to blossom. With a little love and encouragement, he’ll show just how fun, affectionate, and loyal he truly is. If you’re looking for a sweet companion to grow with your family, Taylor may be your perfect match.

Story
Just one look at this guy and you’ll see exactly how he got his name — Happy’s signature smile never leaves his face. Whether he’s lounging beside his favorite person, romping around with his dog friends, or playing with a toy, he radiates pure joy. At 2.5 years old and about 70 pounds, Happy is a mixed-breed bundle of sunshine who truly loves life. He makes friends with every person and dog he meets and would be the perfect adventure buddy for anyone with a moderate to active lifestyle. Happy especially loves being outside, where he can stretch his legs, feel the breeze on his fur, and get in all the sniffs his heart desires. Sometimes he forgets he’s not a lap dog and will try to wiggle right into your lap for cuddles — he just has that much love to give! He’s potty-trained and crate-trained, though he’s still working on polishing up his basic manners. Happy gets along well with other dogs, though he’s still learning to respect boundaries during playtime. He's a big boy and has a mild prey drive, so he'd do best in a home without cats. With his infectious joy and go-with-the-flow attitude, Happy would fit right in with just about any loving home. If you’re looking for a companion who finds delight in every little moment, this cheerful guy is ready to make your days brighter!

Story
Hub is a 10-year-old mixed breed with the gentlest soul and the kindest eyes. His past wasn’t easy; he spent his whole life outdoors and arrived to us in rough shape: emaciated, covered in ear mites, and suffering from a painful double ear infection. Thanks to our wonderful vet and the care of our team, Hub has gotten the fresh start he deserves, and he’s blossomed into the happiest senior boy. Hub is completely deaf, likely from the damage of those untreated infections, but he doesn’t let it slow him down. What he loves is simple: soaking up the sunshine for hours, and getting as much love and attention from people as possible. He greets everyone with a big, wagging tail and warms hearts instantly. Hub is easygoing with other dogs and cats, and he’d do well in a home with respectful children. He still needs to gain some weight as part of his recovery, but with a little patience and care, he’ll be thriving in no time. This sweet senior has so much love left to give and deserves to spend his golden years in a home full of comfort, kindness, and sunshine. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will remind you every day of the power of resilience and love, Hub is your guy.
