Story
Simba, a mixed breed chihuahua and beagle. A great companion and has always been family to me. He is extremely loyal, affectionate, Obedient, Super Energetic to play around with you but also can be calmed enough to Relax by your side. He has been my rock through tough times. He is very friendly and gentle as well with family and friends. Simba is house-trained, neutered, Recently got his annual Rabies Vaccine done. He walks well on a leash and loves being by your side, but could benefit from a little extra training since he’s very friendly and approachable. I’m a veteran, and Simba has been like an emotional support dog to me. Sadly, I can’t keep him for personal reasons, and my heart breaks to let him go. He deserves a caring family who will give him the love and attention he’s always given me.

Story
Male. Natural ears. Black w/Rust. 8 yrs old. BONDED PAIR with AAMES. We placed these two now-senior Dobers, Tiana and Aames, in the same home years ago - one in 2018, and the other in 2020. They’ve been in their loving home through the years and have grown up and old together. Now their humans have moved from their home, with acres of land on which to range, into a retirement apartment five floors up. You can imagine what it’s like trying to care for them properly now. So we’re in a very difficult situation, as you can see. In a worst-case scenario they could be adopted separately, but no one wants to see that happen, least of all the dogs. We’re most earnestly hoping their story touches the heart of someone who can see their need and meet it by taking them both home. Again, they’re healthy, happy, and active; they just need a family to take them home and love them. And to be clear, you do not need to have many acres for them to run. They are quite content romping and interacting in the Elijah‘s House fields which are basically normal sized back yards.

Story
I adopted Gidget from my local shelter. She is a very sweet dog and very well-mannered for her age (10 months). She already knows sit, down, and leave it, and working on drop it and coming when called. She is a playful pup and loves to run around my backyard. With slow introductions, she has done well with my cats, and does best with my more confident, dog-friendly cat. Gidget LOVES to meet new people, and usually automatically sits when meeting them. She also loves my 7-yr old niece (I have not seen her around younger children). Once she’s gotten her energy out, Gidget enjoys cuddling on the couch. We've been working on crate training, but she has been able to be left out in a room without being destructive for a full workday. She is dog-reactive, which we’ve been working on, and she’s already shown improvement. Any adopter will need to be willing to continue to work on that with her. Overall, she’s a great companion and I think she will grow up to be a wonderful dog.

Story
Tucker is a fun, VERY active Sheepadoodle. Unfortunately when we joined 2 households he decided he didn't like one of our other dogs (the other dogs has already had 2 surgeries for a broken leg so we can't take a chance). He loves attention, loves to play, and would need someone who would be able to spend time with him. He's a small but mighty little guy, so don't let him get ahold of your socks. You'll never get them back! He has also regressed with his housetraining with the move and will need some help getting back on track. He's smart, so I don't think it will be an issue as long as you're willing to put in the work.
