Story
Jeffrie & BobbieBonded Pair (ONLY adopted together)4 years old & 6 years oldFostered in Raleigh area Short version: Sweet, good with dogs, friendly with new people, house trained, leash trained, good with kids 8 and over Your heart will melt when these boys look at you with their soulful and loving eyes. They landed in our arms when their family had to move due to finanical issues and could not take them along. These guys are the perfect compliment to each other. Bobbie (the dad) has a big personality and has a life goal of being a walmart greeter. He wants to meet everyone and instantly is their best friend. Jeffrie is a world class snuggler, but takes a minute to warm up and follows Bobbie’s lead. Both boys get alogn with other dogs – both big and small – but their first love each other. They follow each other, play together and snuggle togaher.  Bobbie & Jeffrie would be fine in a family with other dogs or as a ready made family. Give them a squeaky toy and they think you’ve just handed them a million bucks. They are housetrained and walk well on a leash. Because they bark for a bit once you leave the house before settling, they need a single family home. Bobbie and Jeffrie are UTD on shots, hw negative, neutred and had dentals. Bobbie had skin issues when he came into our rescue that have healed on medication and premium food. His new owner should be prepared that skin issues could arrise in the future. Story
SassyDachshund Mix7 years old11 poundsFostered in Raleigh TLDR: Blind, does good on a leash, playful, good with dogs, could be only dog, needs a cat free home, needs someone home more than not, needs single family home, kids over 8 years old Sassy is a spunky, lovable, and incredibly smart girl who just happens to be blind—but don’t let that fool you. She navigates her world with surprising ease, confidently getting around and only occasionally bumping into obstacles. Her resilience is truly inspiring. True to her intelligence, Sassy also has a bit of a stubborn streak. She knows what she wants and isn’t shy about it—but that’s part of her charm! Since coming into care, she’s really started to come out of her shell. She’s begun playing more (empty bottles are her absolute favorite toy!) and showing off her fun, silly side. Sassy is fully housetrained and thrives in a home environment. She needs a house rather than an apartment, as unfamiliar noises can make her anxious. When she feels unsure or unsafe—especially if left alone—she may pace, bark, or even hump as a stress response. With patience, stability, and love, this behavior is expected to improve over time. She bonds deeply with her people and will happily follow you around like your little shadow. One of her favorite things is curling up close and falling asleep while touching you—she finds comfort in being near her humans. When meeting new people, Sassy may bark at first, especially with men, but given a little time and reassurance, she warms up and shows her sweet nature. Sassy is also good with other dogs, which can be a great source of comfort and companionship for her. But she could also be an only dog. She needs someone home more than not – part time or hybrid would be fine. Sassy doesn’t just love, she loves deep. If you’re willing to give her the chance she deserves, Sassy will reward you with a lifetime of loyalty, love, and trust.   ##2693941##

Story
Bruno  Dachshund Mix  2 years old  18 pounds  Fostered in Lillington, NCAdoption fee is 350 Bruno is the perfect mix of sweet, silly, and lovable! Bruno landed in a high kill shelter last month when his owner could no longer care for him. And thankfully found his way to our arms.  This handsome little guy keeps his foster family laughing with his playful personality and impressive jumping skills. If there’s a table, bar stool, or countertop nearby, chances are Bruno has already figured out how to get there. He’s athletic, curious, and always ready for his next adventure. Bruno does well with other dogs when given a slow introduction and absolutely loves playing in the backyard with his foster brother and sister. His favorite activities include chasing his dog friends around and playing with balls until he’s completely worn out. Bruno is mostly housetrained, but his family should expect a few accidents during the transition. This boy is crate trained. At bedtime, Bruno settles quietly into his kennel and sleeps through the night without a peep. He is neutered, UTD on shots, microchipped and HW negative.  He’s still working on his leash manners and will need continued training, but he’s a smart boy who is eager to learn. Bruno would thrive with a family ready to embrace his goofy personality, keep him active, and appreciate his entertaining antics. One thing is certain — life with Bruno will never be boring!   ##2717048##
