Story
Boy, talk about MY lucky break! I was running down a highway, when these ladies jumped out and after a chase... I gave up. I had a leash attached to me that looks like I broke free from, best guess, a tree, where I was tied up. Best guess by my rescuers, who are with ACF, is that I am about 10 months old. They stopped and checked me for a chip, duh, I had no chip. No one had ever seen me before. I am a fine boy! I am very eager to please and I am also a velcro dog! I love to be with my people. I LOVE other dogs, scared of these creatures they call cats, in my foster home but mesmerized by these extra large dog looking things, that my foster also has... they call them horses. They are really big. My foster mom and my rescuers say I have the most gorgeous markings and that my heart is so big that I have room for all of the people involved in my rescue as well as my new home. Best guess is that I am a German Shepherd mix.. but, you know, who really knows? So, my foster mom says that I would be an awesome dog in any home, but I do need a fenced yard, for my safety! I LOVE people... so, having my own people, man, that would be the coolest! Then maybe another dog.. that would be cool too... I'm open to anything... just please give me a forever home for 2022! Audi is at best 11ms old. He is fully vetted. His adoption fee is $25. Please open your heart to this sweet boy! You will not regret it! He is perfect! https://acfrescue.weebly.com/forms.html

Story
Meet Sandy Ridge YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO MEET OUR PETS. Sandy is an approximately 2-year-old hound-shepherd mix who was captured by a Good Samaritan in Greensboro, NC after becoming a homeless dog. Unfortunately, Sandy was not wearing any identification tags nor was she microchipped. She was also reported to local Animal Control but no owner came forward to claim her. Several animal advocates stepped up to help Sandy on her journey to find a new, loving family. Following a brief adjustment period, Sandy is settling into her new life as an indoor pet with her foster family. Sandy is a little shy around strangers but super sweet and very affectionate. She absolutely LOVES to be a lap dog!! Sandy has lots of youthful energy and would enjoy playing ball in a fenced yard or going on long, brisk walks. Sandy is great with other dogs and loves to play. She doesn't realize that she is nearly 70lbs so will need to be supervised around toy breeds or puppies. Sandy is curious about cats but does them no harm aside from chasing them around the house which she finds much more entertaining than do the cats. Sandy is fairly quiet indoors except when she is ready to get up in the morning or if her breakfast is not served quickly enough for her liking. However, when she does bark, she can be rather loud so she will be best suited in a single-family home as opposed to an apartment. Sandy will need a fully fenced yard (5' or taller) or need to be leash walked 100% of the time to keep her safely secured. Due to her background, she will not be permitted to be an off-leash dog and will require a Martingale collar and harness combination for optimal security. She is excellent on a leash and loves to go on adventures. House training is mostly complete but she did have one accident inside so she will need to be supervised in her new forever home to reinforce her training during the transition. Sandy enjoys playing with toys, especially tennis balls and Nyla bones. She has not spent much time around small children but was OK with them. Adoption donation $150 Please note that we do not ship animals. We also require a home visit before finalizing any adoptions so preference is given to applicants within a 90 mile range. You will be required to come to High Point, NC to meet/pick up your new pet. HOW TO APPLY: 1. Go to www.LPPNC.org 2. Click on the "Adoption Application" link on the left side of the page. 3. The application will open as a PDF and you should have the ability to fill it in from that page. Be sure to complete all fields. 4. Save the application to your computer, then attach in an email and send to petprojectnc@gmail.com 5. Story
YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO MEET OUR PETS. Bouncy little 6 month old, 27 pound Lab mix puppy Bonnie is a sweet, silly, joyful girl with lots of energy and puppy antics to spare! She is a beautiful puppy who will be a combination of black with brown highlights as she grows since she is developing lovely brown tones on her muzzle and legs. She would love to have another young, playful (medium to large) doggie friend in her new home to play with. She is not a fan of sharing her food with other dogs (needs some training in mealtime manners) but she sure loves to play with friends! Puppy size calculators indicate she will probably be around 50 pounds when full grown. Bonnie is being fostered in a multi dog home of all sizes and ages. She is already learning some good life skills and knows some basic commands such as sit. She is quickly learning the ins and outs of dog life in her foster home, but is a very young dog who will need your patience and time to learn everything she needs to know to become your perfect companion. Bonnie is great with kids but it would be best if kids were no younger than about 7 due to her high energy level and naturally sharp puppy teeth. Bonnie is learning not to jump up on people in enthusiasm and still needs some work on self control, but then, she is just a happy baby still! Bonnie has been exposed to a cat and does want chase it, but is not aggressive. A dog savvy cat that did not mind an energetic puppy would probably be fine. Bonnie is working hard on crate training and potty training. Adoption donation $125. Please note that we do not ship animals. We also require a home visit before finalizing any adoptions so preference is given to applicants within a 90 mile range. You will be required to come to High Point, NC to meet/pick up your new pet. Story
COURTESY LISTING - PLEASE CONTACT OWNER: Sherri Motley - (336)908-4730 Luna is a 9 year old sweet and cuddly lab/shepherd mix. She has had children around for her entire life and also lives and interacts with 2 cats very well. She is crate trained and walks well on a leash. She has been to training and can sit, heal, lay, shake and dance. Luna is up-to-date on her vaccines and heartworm prevention. She has been a joy to our family for many years but we are in a phase of our lives that is not allowing her the attention she needs and deserves. We would love to find her a new home where her needs will be met.

Story
Max is 19 months now and is a very lovable and sweet dog. If you know about Huskies, they shed, are very friendly and think they can talk😂. He enjoys head rubs and to lie under your legs when sitting on couch. Max sleeps on his back a lot with his feet against the wall, (his favorite position ). Max will sometimes eat in the morning, other times he will eat later in the afternoon, it just all depends on what mood he is in 😂. He comes from a very good home. He is great with adults and loves children. He enjoys going outside to run. He gets a kick out of chasing bird's that he can't catch and trying to dig holes (when we say "stop that digging" he takes off dashing really fast)🤣. We have a busy schedule and want Max to enjoy every bit of his loving playful life. We would be pleased if we could have someone with a fenced backyard. He has a regular vet and he gets his grooming done at PetSmart.
