Almost 5 months ago I was asked by someone in need to temporarily foster her 2 pit puppies, who are now 8 months old, she ahd agreed that since I am currently unemployed she would handle all expenses. Well I haven't seen or heard from her in over 3 months and I can no longer afford their food, and therefore obviously not their shots or spaying. I have had a couple offers of people to take them....but after doing research I find they were breeders and possibly one that may have wanted to use them for fighting, and thats just not going to happen. I need to find a good family with a great home for these girls. And yes again there are 2 both girls, they are bonded and I would like to keep them together. They are loving and while they love to horseplay they are amazing cuddlers.Sadly I have no more funds to take care of them, the owner has ghosted me, and my wife's ill health is such that we can no longer continue to care for them.

Meet Draco! He is "ruff"ly 6 years old, approx. 48 lbs., all brindle love bug and socilalizes well with other dogs. Unfortunately, my aunt got him from the Humane Society recently and a couple months later (May 2026) she had a stroke. She is on a very long road to recovery; her neighbor has him (Clemmons, NC), but is not able to keep him. If anyone is interested in helping this guy out, please give me a call. Meet Esther — From Surviving the Streets to Searching for Home Esther or as her Foster calls her, Essie, was found as a stray alongside her assumed brother, roaming in the summer heat—dehydrated, hungry, and desperately in need of help. We later learned that the pair had reportedly been seen abandoned around a local store for a couple of months, somehow surviving on their own. Despite everything she has been through, Essie is incredibly friendly, social, and full of love. We believe she may have once been part of a family because she is potty trained and clearly comfortable around people. She gets along great with other dogs and absolutely loves to play! Barks and chases cats so needs to be adopted by a cat free family. Essie is still a puppy herself, so she’ll need a family committed to providing a consistent schedule, continued training, and plenty of love. She’s currently working on keeping all four paws on the ground when greeting people—but she just gets so excited because she loves people and wants to shower everyone with affection! Essie is around 36 pounds, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. We don’t expect her to get much larger, though she may fill out a little as she continues gaining some much-needed healthy weight. She has a sleek blue coat and gorgeous blue eyes. Mila’s story is one of resilience, love, and second chances. At just around 2 years old, Mila was rescued from beneath a mobile home with her 11 puppies when they were only three days old. At the time, Mila had little experience with people and had never truly known what it felt like to be loved. Severely underweight at only 35 pounds, she had spent her life simply surviving. Today, Mila is thriving and healthy at over 100 lbs and has blossomed into an incredible companion. One of the sweetest things about Mila is watching her discover how wonderful affection can be. She now comes over asking for ear rubs, loves hugs and kisses, and happily settles at your feet while you watch TV. She adores having a soft, cozy bed to curl up in at the end of the day. Mila is a playful, goofy girl who has learned that toys are fun and that life can be enjoyable. She loves playing with other dogs and has integrated beautifully with her foster’s German Shepherd. While she enjoys canine companionship, she would also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only best friend. She’s house-trained, trustworthy when left alone, loves car rides, enjoys treats, and is always ready for an adventure. Mila is gentle, docile, and has never shown aggression toward other animals. She even ignores rabbits running through the yard! She has been around cats in the past, but her current foster does not have cats, so a proper introduction would be recommended. Mila is still learning some of the basics—she hasn’t quite figured out the whole “sit” command yet—but she is making progress every day.
