Story
I'm looking for someone to take her in because I'm moving overseas, any other move and I'd bring her. Star is a great friendly dog. She is getting old tho. She knows basic commands but I can't verify if she will listen to anyone but me and she typically ignored commands when other people or animals around around, we aren't very socialized. She hates water and will outright refuse to go out during rain. She is trained on an invisible fence and training shock collars.

Story
Me and my family took ralph in 2021 as a stray. He does not do well with our other dogs. We are a growing family with a baby and we cannot continue to home him. He needs someone willing to work with him on behavior issues as he does not do well with other pets and can be hesitant on people.

Story
My name is Harper. I was brought to the shelter with my newborn pups. I was so scared and confused but I was still super sweet and a great mom. Since my rescue I have shown my foster family how loving I am. I love to put my little head under your chin and shoulder and snuggle. I love belly rubs and rump scratches. I am still very playful because at age 2 I’m just a puppy myself. I listen so good to my foster mom and stay by her side at all times. I am housetrained and walk great on lead. I am only vocal when I feel my family needs alerting. My blue eye will mesmerize you. I only weigh 10 pounds right now but I’m a little on the skinny side. Foster mom is helping me get my girlish figure back. If you would like to love me Furever please visit the website at STFFAR.orgJuly 23, 2024, 12:48 pm

Story
Greta Sue is a sweet, spunky senior girl who would be fine as a solo pup, but she does get along well with other small dogs if introduced slowly.  She is playful with her foster siblings and loves to romp around!  She is estimated to be around 11 years old, but she still has a playful spirit.  Greta Sue is crate trained (although she does, on occasion, like to share her opinions vocally about being crated), house trained, and does well on the leash.  We don't really know what breeds she is... best guess would be some kind of a schnauzer, poodle, yorkie mix!  She is about 10-11 lbs and won't get any bigger. Greta Sue is currently undergoing treatment for heartworms, but she can still be adopted while she is going through treatment.  She is missing several teeth, but does not have any infected teeth remaining per the vet.  She has cataracts but can still see.  She needs a home without children, and would likely do well with older teenagers as a minimum. Let's hear a little from Greta Sue: "First of all, I'm darn cute and I know it!  I ended up in the shelter as a stray, positive for heartworms, with an icky case of dermatitis.  My hair was long and stringy and it was clear it had been a while since I had been really loved.  I will admit, I came on a little strong with my foster mama the first time I met her… I'm not so proud of my behavior, but I kinda lunged at her and tried to nip her.  Thankfully she recognized that I was really stressed because I had just left the shelter, and she didn't hold that against me.  She gave me space for the drive to my foster home, and I returned the favor by behaving like a good girl for my first medicated oatmeal bath.  She hand-fed me dinner for the first several days so we could grow a bond, and I learned that she could be trusted. After being allowed to decompress from the shelter, I got to meet the other dogs in my foster home.  My favorite is Remy, because she's about my size, and she is playful!  We love to play together and wrestle, then take a good nap. I'm still looking for my forever home, so I thought I'd put together a list of the things I'm most looking for: - A home that will be patient and understand that I might be a little unsure at first, but will work with me to build a bond. - A home with no kids, where if kids do come for a visit, they will either be respectful of my need for space from them or where I'll have a safe space to hang out while they are around. - A family that is home a lot.  I do pretty well in the crate, but I would love to be around my family for the majority of the time. - A home where I'm allowed to snuggle on the sofa a lot, because I love being next to my person/people! - A home where I get lots of chest and tummy rubs, because those are kinda my favorite. I'm not picky about men or women, as long as they give me a little time to adjust.  Once I feel comfortable, I'll follow my person from room to room, because I have to keep an eye on them.  My foster mama thinks it's pretty cute! Well, thanks for reading all that, because I know I got kinda long-winded.  I just want to make sure I find the perfect forever home, and for everyone to know how precious and sweet I can be if I'm allowed a little space at first!  I know my foster family is going to miss me when my forever home comes along, but they know I'm the perfect companion for someone who needs a loving little friend to spend their days and nights with." - Greta Sue   When you adopt, your new fur baby will come completely vetted with the following:&#226&#128&#139 Overall health checkup Microchip Age/Health Appropriate Vaccinations Heart worm test (for dogs) Fiv/FeLV tested (for cats) Parvo test (for dogs) Spay/neuter (voucher for puppy/kitten if not old enough to be sterilized)   Can you bring me home? Story
Boo is a very sweet and loving dog but is not trusting of new people. We found her from a very abusive environment and have rehabilitated her to the best of our abilities. She is trained to walk without a leash and will stay right by your side. She is also pad trained for the most part with the occasional mess up. She is 2 years old and is full of energy. She’s a very happy dog and is trained to sit. We chose to rehabilitate her to be able to find her a new home, but we have an older dog who can’t keep up with Boo’s energy and needs to be in a single dog home. Since she has made us happy, we know that she will make a family very happy for years to come!
