Hi, I’m Beesly! I’m a beautiful Australian Shepherd/Pit Bull Terrier mix, professional cuddle buddy, and self-appointed supervisor of the household. My foster family likes to call me a bit of a mother hen because I like to keep tabs on everyone and make sure things are running the way I think they should. I’m incredibly smart; I know some tricks, and I’m always paying attention to what’s happening around me. I enjoy playing, but I’m not bouncing off the walls. I’m just as happy taking a nap, going for a car ride, or hanging out with my favorite person. And when I say favorite person, I mean I REALLY like my people. I’m sweet, cuddly, give the best hugs, and would happily spend my days right by your side. I do have some separation anxiety and currently take medication to help me manage it. I’ve been making great progress in my foster home and have even discovered that I love my kennel! It’s become my cozy little retreat where I like to curl up with my stuffies. I’ll need a family who understands my anxiety and can continue helping me feel safe and secure. I’m wonderful with kids and do great with other dogs, although I may occasionally feel the need to remind them of the household rules. I can also live with cats, but I’m a little more selective about which feline friends make the cut. Oh, and one more thing: I’m a talker! I have thoughts, opinions, and occasionally some important announcements to make. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate girl who gives great hugs, loves deeply, and will happily serve as your little shadow and household supervisor, I might be exactly who you’ve been looking for. Hi, I’m Little Bo Peep! I’m a senior gal looking for a very special kind of person… someone willing to give me the time and space to decide that you’re my person. I came to Homeward after my previous owner experienced some medical issues and could no longer care for me, and adjusting to a new life has been a lot for a little old lady like me. I’ll be upfront: I don’t hand out my affection to just anyone. I can be timid and definitely have some stranger danger, so it takes me a while to warm up to new people. I’m also a bit set in my ways and appreciate people who understand my boundaries. But once I decide I love you? Oh boy, do I love you. I’m an incredibly loyal little lap dog who would gladly spend the entire day curled up on you or being carried around in your arms. With the people I trust, I’m affectionate, devoted, and happiest when I can be as close to them as possible. Because I like life on my own terms, I’m looking for a quiet, adult-only home with someone patient and experienced who won’t rush me and will let our relationship develop at my pace. Like many senior gals, I need a little extra care. I take medications for arthritis and urinary health, and I have glaucoma, so my person will need to be comfortable keeping up with my medical needs. I know I’m not going to be the dog who falls in love with everyone she meets, and that’s okay. Hi, I’m Lulamae! I’m a sweet, silly girl with a laid-back personality, a playful side, and plenty of love to give. At 5 years old, I think I’ve got this whole “being a good dog” thing pretty well figured out. I’m housetrained, crate trained, and happiest just being part of whatever my people are doing. Whether we’re heading out for a car ride, hitting the trails for a hike, playing a good game of tug-of-war, or curling up together for some quality cuddle time, I’m happy as long as I’m with you. I have a nice, moderate energy level, so I’m always up for some fun, but I also know how to relax and enjoy the quieter moments. At night, I may gently wander around the house for a bit before settling in, and then I’ll snooze quietly until I hear you getting up. Of course, I’ll be ready and waiting when it’s time for breakfast!
