Story
This sweetie was surrendered due to no fault of her. You see her family didn't realize how busy a puppy is and with two small children, Pepper didn't receive any attention.
Pepper is a little shy and needs a patient family. She is very smart, friendly, playful, and such an easy dog. Children 13 years and older are preferred. Another dog would be helpful to show her life is good and to build her confidence.
Pepper is total doll, calm, 6 months old, 45 lbs, Australian Shepherd/poodle mix, low shed, utd vaccinations, dewormed and vet checked. Her adult size should be around 50 lbs.
Pepper is crate trained, very quiet, no accidents inside, and sleeps the whole night in her crate. She loves dogs, not cat tested but feel she would be fine, prefer a home with a playful dog, no young children, teenagers ok, and someone with time to help train Pepper to continue to be a wonderful dog.
Pepper wants to please and is very treat motivated. Learning so quickly sit, down, wait, place, quiet, leave it, out, and recall. She is so smart as retrieving balls already at 3 months. Had a visit to Petsmart, Lowes, Township office, pool supply store, and she was so brave. Followed me throughout the stores and enjoyed checking out all the toys. Sat quietly while I chatted with customers.
Graduated Puppy Class 1 & 2 with Pepper and now starting Puppy Class 3 in September. On going training is important to have a balanced dog with no issues. Trips to dog friendly stores, dealerships, family houses, and other dog friendly places are important to continue Pepper's socialization.
Ongoing exposure to leaf bags, blue boxes, large rocks, seniors with walkers, umbrellas, hats, different ethnicity, lab coats, glasses, vet clinic, groomers, motorcycles, skateboards, hoodies strollers, shopping carts etc have helped Pepper realize the world isn't that scary.
Please email dcdgavel@gmail.com for an adoption application. A spay agreement must be signed and the cost is the responsibility of the new owners. Proof at age ready is required.
Pepper's adoption donation is $1200 and she is being fostered in Zephyr, Ontario.
