Story
Hi, my name is Greg!Male - pending neuterAmerican Bulldog MixApprox. 2 years oldI'm a lovely goofball with a face so cute you could squeeze it! I'm the kind of dog who brings joy and laughter to every room I enter. When meeting new people, I can hardly contain my excitement-I'm friendly and enthusiastic, although I can become a bit overstimulated at times. For this reason, a busy household with lots of energetic children might be a bit overwhelming for me. But don't let that fool you; I'm a good boy with everyone I meet. One thing you should know about me is that I love food, and my body shows it! I might have missed the "beach body" memo, but I'm perfectly happy rocking my "beach ball" physique. I enjoy my meals quickly, and treats are definitely my motivators. I even know some commands like "sit," although I can get a bit jumpy and excitable. With a little continued training, I'm sure to succeed! When it comes to toys, I'm playful and energetic, but the way to my heart is definitely through treats. I can be a bit strong on the leash because I'm just so excited to explore the world and meet everyone. Some extra leash training would help me develop into the perfect walking companion.I haven't had the chance to meet many furry friends while in care, but I do show the potential to socialize successfully with other dogs. Remember, a slow and structured introduction is key to making new doggy pals! As for kitties, I haven't met any yet.If you're looking for a charming companion with a big heart and an even bigger personality, I might just be the perfect match for you. Story
Hello there! I'm Bronson, Male - neuteredAmerican Bulldog MixApprox. 2 years oldI'm a lively and spirited pup who can't wait to find my forever home. I'm full of energy and ready to bring joy to the right family. When it comes to meeting new people, I can be both friendly and a bit nervous. But don't worry! With slow introductions and a few yummy treats (which, by the way, are my absolute favourite), I warm up quickly and become your best friend in no time.I'm on the lookout for a home without young children. I haven't met any little ones yet, and because I can get easily overstimulated, I'd be most comfortable with older children, preferably those who are 16 years or older.I have boundless energy, and I absolutely adore playing with toys. However, I can become easily overstimulated, so a patient and understanding environment is key. My leash skills are still a work in progress; I'm strong and tend to pull, but with a dedicated owner, I'm confident I can improve. Treats are a fantastic motivator for me, and with some positive reinforcement, I'm sure to thrive. While I love spending time with my human companions, I can be selective with my furry friends, though I have shown the potential to socialize successfully with doggy friends. Remember, a slow introduction is key! So, if you're looking for a loyal, friendly, and energetic companion with a heart full of love, look no further-I'm your guy! Story
Hi, my name is Boomer, Male - neuteredCarolina dog mixApprox. 1 year, 6 months oldI'm a friendly and easily excitable pup with a big heart and plenty of energy. While I'm not overly interested in toys, treats and yummy food are definitely my motivators. Because I'm such a treat lover, I respond well to training when there's food involved, though I can sometimes get overstimulated and need help focusing. My leash skills could use some fine-tuning, as I have a tendency to get very excited and jumpy. I would benefit from an experienced handler or someone dedicated to teaching me the right ways. With a little patience and some tasty rewards, I'm confident I can learn and grow.Aside from treats, people are my absolute favourite! I do show signs of separation anxiety, but with consistency and a loving home, I'm sure to thrive. When it comes to body handling and restraints, I'm friendly and excitable, always ready for a little attention and affection. As for furry friends, I've shown the potential to socialize successfully with doggy pals, though remember that a slow introduction is key to making new friends. When it comes to cats, I do have a bit of a prey drive, so I would thrive best in a home without feline companions. If you're looking for a loyal, energetic, and loving addition to your family, I might just be the perfect match for you! Story
Hello future family! I'm Jagger, Male - neuteredShepherd x Chow-Chow mixApprox. 6 years oldI'm an enthusiastic and fluffy boy with a heart brimming with love, just waiting to share it with you. When it comes to meeting new folks, I'm all wagging tails and happy barks! I simply can't help getting excited-I'm a friendly soul through and through. However, due to my immense love for food, I would thrive best in a home with older children, around 12 years and up.Food is my ultimate passion! I tend to gobble up my meals with a bit too much enthusiasm, so a slow feeder is a must to help me pace myself. While toys don't pique my interest much, a tasty treat can motivate me to do just about anything. And if you throw in some praise and attention, well, I'm in heaven!I aim to please, and with the right motivation-like treats and kind words-I'm making great strides in my training. I've already mastered the "Mark" and "break" commands, and I'm working on my impulse control and tether decompression. Leash manners? They still need some polishing, as I have a tendency to pull, but I'm eager to learn!I would thrive best in a relaxed home environment where I can be the centre of your universe. I have shown the potential to socialize successfully with doggy friends though I'm not a fan of cats.If you're searching for a loyal companion with a heart brimming with love and a passion for delicious treats, your search ends here-I might just be your ideal match! Story
Hello there! My name is Thor, Male - neuteredMastiff x American Bulldog MixApprox. 2 years oldI'm a big, lovable marshmallow wrapped in an even bigger package. My heart is as large as my frame, and I'm eager to share all the love I have with my forever family. I tend to form strong attachments to my favourite individuals, protecting them from unknowns though I am focused on establishing positive boundaries with the help of my shelter friends. When it comes to people, I'm friendly but can get a little nervous, especially around sudden movements. I thrive best with slow and gentle introductions. Once I feel comfortable, I transform into your classic wiggle bug, ready to make friends and soak up all the affection you have to offer.I enjoy my meals at a normal pace, but what really gets my tail wagging is praise, treats, and spending time with people. I'm highly motivated by love and snacks, which makes training and bonding with me a rewarding experience. I can become protective over toys, so I would do best in a trade-off situation or with gradually introduced toys once I'm settled into my new home. Too much excitement too quickly can be overwhelming for me.I'm still working on my basic training, which means we can learn together. With your guidance and a few tasty treats, I'm sure to pick up on commands and become the well-mannered companion you're searching for.Given my energy and size, I would thrive in a quiet home without young children-preferably with kids aged 12 years or older. I can be selective with doggy friends, but with a slow introduction, I may have the potential to socialize successfully. I do have a prey drive towards cats and would require a home without feline friends. If you're looking for a gentle giant who will fill your home with love and laughter, I'm your guy.
