Story
Zoey was abandoned in our neighborhood in September. She is chipped, but the contact info on her chip is for a shelter that doesn’t exist and a phone number connecting to a person that says they don’t have a dog. We partnered with a rescue that paid for her to get shots and fixed, as well as treated for heart worm and we have been fostering her since, but we need to find a permanent home for her as soon as possible and the rescue we were working with had to hault their operations due to funding. Zoey is very friendly with humans (especially kids) and loves car rides and adventures. She does seem to have some trauma with big dogs, and gets frightened by other animals where her immediate reaction is usually defensive, so she would do best in a home without other dogs. She has been staying in a home with two cats for these last few months and she doesn’t seem to mind them unless they startle her, then she just barks. She knows basic commands but needs recall help. She is very calm/sweet.

Story
Maggie is the sweetest girl! She absolutely loves being outdoors and is SO smart. We enrolled her in obedience school when she was about 10 months old, and she did amazing! She got to the point where could even walk beside us off-leash! Unfortunately, with a busy season of life and a 12-month-old at home, we haven’t been able to keep up with her training like we used to. Maggie is crate trained. I tried to break her of the crate but she loves it too much. Maggie is now 4 years old (she’ll be 5 in April) and still has so much love to give. She does well with calm, smaller dogs and with kids who are gentle and don’t make her nervous. She’s nervous around some men. (Not as many as she used to be) We adopted her from the Humane Society when she was 9 months old, and it breaks our hearts to rehome her; but she deserves the time and attention, we cannot give right now. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion Maggie will make the perfect addition to your home. ❤️

Story
This is Bass. Yes he is big, but in his mind he is a small lap dog. Bass is very active and playful but also loves to cuddle. He loves to play with my 9yr old and is good around my toddler even though he prefers to be around older children. He has been around cats before and at first he may try to chase them out of curiosity and wanting to play but he will learn to co exist with them. He is good with other dogs. Bass is very frightened by loud noises, especially fireworks. He will shut down and refuse to use the bathroom if he gets scared from noises. Bath tubs are his go to safe spot when he is frightened from loud noises. I do not have any behavioral problems with bass. This is a very hard decision, but unfortunately with my pregnancy and the new baby on the way I can no longer take care of him. Bass needs a yard with a lot of space to run and get out his energy. He is microchipped and his last shots were in April 2024.
