Story
Meet Odesza 🐺❄️ Odesza is a beautiful female Husky mix who was found as a stray and is now ready for a fresh start in a loving home. She appears to be well trained and likely housebroken, making her an easy addition to a family looking for a well-mannered companion. Odesza has the intelligence and presence typical of her Husky heritage and would do well with an adopter who can provide regular exercise, structure, and enrichment. She’s eager to learn, enjoys being engaged, and would love a home where she can be part of daily activities. If you’re looking for a smart, active, and loyal dog to join your life, Odesza could be the perfect match. She’s ready to leave her stray days behind and become someone’s devoted best friend. 🐾💙 Odesza is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on all her vaccines and preventatives!

Story
Our landlord has decided that we can no longer have our dog and we are trying to find him a good home. We have had him for 2 years and he’s 3 1/2 years old. He’s a Shepard/husky mut. He’s been around a lot of kids and other dogs. We have 2 cats but he chases them. He would be happiest in a home with a large yard and other dogs. He can be protective and reactive to dogs walking by our house. He also needs a slow entrance to strangers. But once he gets used to them, he is a lover. A stranger (someone fixing something in our bathroom) entered our house without giving me time to lock the dog up and he jumped on him and bit his hand. If he is introduced to people slowly with “his people” present, he is typically fine. But because of this incident last month, our landlord says we can not keep him. He loves walks and being with his humans. Please can you help us find a loving home for our deer pup?! Thank you so much.

Story
Meet Bow, a 10-month-old pup, who is a mellow canine resident of our local shelter. Despite his youth, Bow carries a quiet and observant demeanor, often found in the corners of his enclosure, observing the world with shy, cautious eyes. His initial fear and tendency to shut down in new situations make him a gentle soul in need of a patient and loving home. Bow's calm nature makes him an ideal companion for someone who appreciates the serene moments of life and is willing to give him the time he needs to blossom. Adopt Bow and discover the rewarding journey of gaining a loyal friend.

Story
Meet Bo Jay — Our Longest Resident and your future best friend with a heart full of quiet love 🐾 At just 9 months old, Bo Jay is a handsome German Shepherd–Rottweiler mix who is still learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. This sweet boy is a bit on the shy side at first, but don’t let that fool you—behind those cautious eyes is a deeply loyal companion just waiting to bond with someone special. Bo Jay does best with a patient and understanding adopter who will give him the time and space he needs to come out of his shell. Once he starts to trust you, you’ll see his true personality shine: gentle, affectionate, and incredibly devoted. He’s the kind of dog who will form a strong, unbreakable bond and stay by your side through everything. Because he’s still young, Bo Jay has lots of potential to grow into a confident and well-rounded dog with positive reinforcement, consistency, and love. A calm home environment and perhaps another confident dog friend could help him continue building his confidence. Bo Jay may not be the kind of pup who rushes up to greet everyone right away—but for the person who gives him a chance, he’ll be the one who loves you the deepest. If you’re looking for a loyal companion and are willing to go at Bo Jay’s pace, he just might be the perfect match for you 💛

Story
Poochie’s Story ❤️ We found Poochie in a rescue in Guam in 2018 while actually looking for a cat. He had just been found on the side of the road during a thunderstorm, covered in ticks. We waited 2 weeks in hopes an owner would claim him, but no one ever did. By the time we adopted him, he had been shaved nearly bald to remove the ticks. A vet estimated he was about 1 year old based on his teeth. As a Navy family, Poochie moved with us from Guam to California (2020), California to Virginia (2022), and Virginia to Washington (2025). Through every move, he stayed loving, loyal, and happiest near his people. We now plan to retire to the Philippines, but due to the cost of moving him (~$8,500), the year-round heat, and recent heart murmur and dental issues, we believe the kindest choice is finding him a stable, loving home where he can enjoy his senior years in peace with someone able to care for his health needs.
