Story

Jax is a sweet, gentle, senior dog who is good with other pets. His back legs are starting to get weak and he has a hard time getting into vehicles, but he loves long walks and loves to be outside. He's not much of a talker, unless you're not hurrying fast enough to take him out. Even when he does talk, it's a low quiet voice. I got Jax when he was 6-8 weeks old from a breeder in Las Vegas. He lived most of his 14 years in Las Vegas and loves the weather here in Sequim better! He has been around cats, other dogs of all sizes and still has a playful side to him. But mostly he finds a quiet corner to sleep. It is with a heavy heart that I have to list my sweet boy and re-home him. We just found out that we have to relocate and for him to travel that far is an stress I'm not sure he would be able to endure.

Meet Henry, a handsome, long-legged Treeing Walker Coonhound born in December 2020. Henry is an affectionate guy who hasn’t met a person he doesn’t love. After some time outside stretching his legs and putting his incredible hound nose to work, he’s more than happy to settle in for a good couch snuggle. Henry doesn’t need a packed social calendar to enjoy life. A securely fenced yard where he can sniff and explore, along with walks in quieter areas, would suit him beautifully. Busy environments can be a lot for Henry, and he may bark or react to the sights and sounds around him. Continued reward-based training would help him build skills and feel more comfortable on outings. True to his breed, Henry has a wonderfully expressive hound voice—and he isn’t afraid to use it! They are in need of a home that can open their hearts to both easy-going dogs. Jasper, a Shih Tzu born in August 2011, is ready to go with the flow. Need someone to lend an ear (despite not being able to hear that well) or just be a calming presence? Jasper is your guy! Chloe, a Bichon Frise mix born in September 2014, is quite the friendly gal. She is missing some teeth, leaving her tongue hanging out of her mouth in an adorable fashion. She is scheduled for a double knee replacement, and will need a home that can help her recover. Born in June 2020, Dexter suffered a severe break in his leg and had to spend much of his youth on restricted activity so it would heal. He is fully healthy now, and his leg made a full recovery. Dex is great on leash, loves his walks, and bonds strongly with his humans. In typical GSD fashion, he likes to have something to do, so having a home with people who are around and will include him in adventures and outings is preferred. He is full of energy and has lots of love to give. Dexter has gone through great training, he is easy to walk on leash, he listens well, and enjoys learning new behaviors and games through training. He especially loves playing with his toys. His favorite playtime activities are fetch and tug and showing off his toys by playing on his own. Dexter benefits from longs walks and hikes where he can sniff and explore. Dexter’s favorite past time is chilling on his bed with a Kong or bully stick. A securely fenced yard, no kids or cats is required for Dexter’s home.
