PENDING ADOPTION 🩷 Phoebe – Gentle, Resilient, and Learning to Shine Phoebe’s story is one of quiet strength and second chances. This 1½-year-old beauty came to MAGDRL in rough shape after being severely underweight and neglected, but her gentle heart never faltered. From the moment she arrived, Phoebe has shown herself to be sweet, curious, and eager to please. Now safe in her foster home, Phoebe is blossoming. She enjoys the company of other dogs, does well with cats, and is kind and patient with children. She’s playful, affectionate, and surprisingly well-adjusted for all she’s been through. Phoebe will make a wonderful companion for an active home where she can continue learning about the joys of indoor life and being loved. It won't be much longer before Phoebe is ready to meet her forever family! Please include your home area code and a phone number where a volunteer can reach you when contacting us about an adoption. 💗 Meet Darcey — A Smart, Loving, and Playful Great Dane Mix Say hello to Darcey, a beautiful 1½-year-old Great Dane mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. At around 90 pounds, she may be a bit smaller than a typical Dane, but she’s absolutely convinced she’s a lap dog — and she’ll happily prove it every chance she gets! Darcey is full of life, love, and enthusiasm. She’s wonderful with kids, adores playing with her foster family’s nephews, and loves her toys — especially her new favorite stuffed animal, “Stuffy.” She’s a bright, eager-to-please girl who loves learning new things and showing off her smarts. In fact, she learned to ring a bell to go outside in less than a week — and since she’s the only dog in her foster home, she figured it out all on her own! She’s also crate trained, enjoys routine, and has settled beautifully into home life. Car rides can make her a little anxious at first, but once the road smooths out, she relaxes and enjoys the trip. Her DNA mix is: 91% Great Dane 8% Weimaraner and 1% Argentine Dogo. Darcey’s mix of intelligence, affection, and energy makes her an absolute joy to be around. She loves to snuggle, give kisses, and be part of whatever her people are doing — whether that’s playtime, cuddle time, or just hanging out together. She would prefer to be the only pet in the home. Darcey is ready to find a forever family who will appreciate her sweet nature, loyalty, and zest for life. She will do best with an experienced owner who is comfortable with training and discipline. She also needs a home that can provide her with lots of exercise and an active lifestyle. 💖 Darcey is available for adoption now — and she’s ready to fill your home with love and laughter! TEX IS IN A KENNEL & IS LOOKING FOR A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME! Meet Tex – Your Perfect Laid-Back Companion 🐾 Tex is an 8-year-old gentleman with a calm, easygoing personality who is now under the care of MAGDRL. He is currently being boarded while we search for a loving foster or forever home where he can enjoy the comfort he deserves. Tex has a true “old soul” demeanor. He lives for affection and will happily soak up pets for as long as you’re willing to give them. His favorite place is near an open window where he can bask in the sunshine and relax the day away. While he’s not overly playful, he does enjoy the occasional burst of zoomies that show off his fun side. He ignores other dogs, does well in a kennel environment, and is comfortable with non-dominant male dogs. Tex previously lived peacefully with a 9-year-old female Mastiff mix. He is crate trained, though he hasn’t needed a crate in years, and he does not have separation anxiety—making him an easy addition to a home. Tex would thrive in a quiet, loving home looking for a calm, affectionate companion. If you’re able to foster or are interested in adopting Tex, please reach out so we can get this sweet boy back into a home environment where he belongs. If interested, Please contact Chelsea at chelsea9049@yahoo.com. Tex is located in Prince William County, VA Please include your home area code and a phone number where a volunteer can reach you when contacting us about an adoption. Meet Remington 💙 1.5-year-old Blue Merle Great Dane | Male | ~120 lbs Remington is a big, beautiful, happy-go-lucky Great Dane who’s ready to finally enjoy life the way a young Dane should. With his stunning blue merle coat and joyful personality, he’s the kind of dog who makes people smile the moment they meet him. True to his age, Remington is playful, curious, and full of enthusiasm. He loves attention, seeks out affection, and is always eager to be part of whatever his people are doing. He’s a friendly, social boy who enjoys meeting new people and soaks up praise like a sponge. If you’re looking for a Dane who wants to be with you — not just near you — Remington fits the bill. Remington has done well around other dogs and enjoys playful interactions, especially with dogs who match his youthful energy. He doesn’t show possessive behavior with toys or treats and prefers positive, structured environments where everyone can relax and enjoy each other. Like many young dogs, he’s still learning the ropes and benefits from clear routines and gentle guidance. Because Remington didn’t always get the consistency and engagement every growing Dane deserves, he’s now getting the chance to truly shine. With regular meals, attention, and daily interaction, he’s already showing how much potential he has. He’s the kind of dog who will thrive as he continues to gain strength, confidence, and stability — and watching that transformation is incredibly rewarding. Remington would love a home that: Enjoys an affectionate, people-oriented Great Dane Can provide daily companionship, exercise, and basic training Appreciates a dog who is still very much in his “young and goofy” phase Does not have free-roaming poultry (he has shown interest in chickens) Remington is a sweet, fun-loving Dane who simply needed a chance to be more than a background dog. Now that he has it, he’s ready to give his whole heart to a family of his own. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow, a playful companion, and a Dane who’s excited to finally be included, Remington may be your perfect match. Please include your home area code and a phone number where a volunteer can reach you when contacting us about an adoption.
