Story
Berlin is approximately 8 to 9 years old. He is my son's dog. However, my son is moving out to an apartment and he's not allowed to have pets. My husband and I worked 12 hour shifts and we are unable to care for him properly. Berlin does have diabetes and he. requires shots twice a day. He is getting older. So he tends to have a few accidents in the house that I think his diabetes are also contributing to the accidents in the house, since he needs to be taken out more frequently. He's really good with cats. My kids are all older, so I'm not sure how he is around little kids. I know that he's shy at first, but then he warms up. I'm not sure about other dogs because he tends to be reactive on the leash due to being bitten twice in my neighborhood by other dogs. We're just trying to find him a good home and someone that will be able to take care of him properly.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Paws Crossed Dog Rescue serves the Eastern Panhandle of WV and nearby areas.  Please read ADOPTION INFO on the left side of our website to learn about the adoption application process. Butchey is a 2 1/2 -year old, neutered male, weighing-in at around 35 pounds.  He's a good boy that likes to be active. He was lacking in confidence and social skills.  He has been in training for several months now and has done a great job !  He has learned to politely play with other dogs and make friends with many humans .  He walks well on a leash and does well out in public.   A dog savvy household will be best for him. Continued training would be a plus. He can be in a home with other dogs. However we believe Butchey would do best in a home with an older, mature, stable, female canine.  We want him to maintain his newly acquired skills. If allowed, he can become overly attached to his human.  Butchey's currently still in a boarding / training facility due to a lack of fosters in rescue.   He will require a physical fence.  This is not negotiable.  Please read Adoption Info on the left side of our website. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Paws Crossed Dog Rescue serves the Eastern Panhandle of WV and nearby areas.  Please read ADOPTION INFO on the left side of our website to learn about the adoption application process.   Lillian comes to us from southern WV.  Her previous guardian passed away.  Lillian's just ready for a relaxed, quiet, comfortable home, like she's ready for a retirement community!!!  We think she's around 6 years old, but could be younger or older...it's hard to tell.  She might be 5 and have lived a hard life thus far.  We're just not sure of her actual age. Lillian would do best in a home with another small breed canine sibling, as she loves to cuddle with other dogs. She does fine with other dogs, but we're not sure if she's cat friendly.  We recommend no small children, as she's an older gal who wants quiet and limited activities. She's fine with kids older than 10.  She's cautious around new people. She's not so much a runner, but could be difficult to catch if she got away.  Lillian is super sweet, loves to lick her human's hand, and is a very nice girl.  She's working on her house training skills, so be prepared to continue her path to being fully house trained.  She's not totally comfortable on a leash, so that will also be part of her continuing education!   She'll require a fully fenced, secure yard.  No electric fencing, no underground fencing, and no doggy door.  These are not negotiable topics. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Penny came to us from a breeder in southern West Virginia.  It has taken her a little time to get acclimated to living indoors. She is a very laid-back Yorkie And prefers to spend her days snuggled in a nice, comfy dog bed.   She absolutely has to have a fenced in yard and would prefer to have someone home during the day or with another dog. She has been working on her house, training skills and learning how to go in and out side to the back yard. Because she has lived most of her life outside. She enjoys being out in a fenced in area.penny has had multiple litters of puppies and she is now ready to relax and just be someone's pet.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 22, 2024, 12:24 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Paws Crossed Dog Rescue serves the Eastern Panhandle of WV and nearby areas.  Please read Adoption Info on the left side of our website to learn about the adoption process. Koda came to us from an animal control facility, where she was saved from a hoarding situation.  We think she's a lab / beagle mix, but you be the judge!  She's around 60 pounds.   koda Will make a great companion for any human that is lonely and just wants a pet to sit at their feet. Her favorite part of the day is going on leash walks to the mailbox and getting to roll in the dirt on her back. Her Foster has a fenced in area that she enjoys very much but walking on a leash is her favorite part of the day. Koda Is particular about her dog friends. Although she has several friends in foster care, she does have tendency to be very picky . we are not sure about Cat as she has not been exposed to them.  koda just wants a quiet Home, where she can relax with her humans for the rest of her life.    Email inquiries can be made to PawsCrossedDogRescue@yahoo.com Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 13, 2024, 2:28 pm
