Story
Flo-Retriever/Pointer X female, ~ 3-4yr. (July 2024)(Photos taken July 2024) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Flo came to Rescue with her 5 tiny puppies, from a high kill big city shelter. She and her babies on the list to lose their lives to euthanasia that very day. This was happening only because the shelter was way overwhelmed with dogs needing homes. Flo went into a rescue foster home and has proved to be an excellent dog. She been a good mother, raised her babies and has settled in to family life. She's about 50-55#, full of intelligence and life. She plays well with the other foster dogs, is very social. She's an active young adult and will enjoy a life that is active. Best of all, she loves people and wants to interact with humans. She would be an excellent hiking or walking partner. Flo can be a little too interested in cats, so she's looking for homes that does not have cats. Flo's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption . For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Story
Daisy-Boxer/Shepard female, ~ 1 yr. (Jan. 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application. Daisy was saved by a Dog Trainer when she saw her in a high kill shelter. She knew this sweet girl needed a chance at life, not to have her life snuffed out before she's even gotten started. Daisy is a 'gem'...she's house trained, crate trained, according to her Inmate Trainer. She's been in a Training program at a Men's Prison and has already learned her basic obedience commands. She's learning about vehicle manners, how to load up. She knows about grooming and good care. She's good with other dogs, loves to play, still having puppy mannerism. Her favorite games, according to her foster dad is 'ball, tag and tug'! She loves the recent snow and had so much fun playing with a ball in the snow. Her buddy dogs, both big and small had fun with her. Children are an unknown, although she's been around children at the Trainer's Kennels. Daisy has a big bark, which can be misunderstood to a novice dog owner. She doesn't bark often, but will alert if a stranger wanks in the house. A home with experienced dog owners is preferred and Daisy would love to have a canine buddy. She would be considered medium/large in size and will enjoy an active lifestyle. Hiking and play! Daisy's adoption fee is $300 to help cover the medical expenses of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Story
Zuri- German Shepard / Husky male, DOB 5-10-23 (Oct. 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Zuri was surrendered to a Dog Trainer because his prior owners did not have the time for him. He's been doing great in the Prison Program that the Trainer coordinates. He's housetrained, crate trained, knows basic obedience commands, knows about grooming and husbandry care. Zuri's inmate trainer says he gets along great with the other dogs in the Prison Program and is an intelligent, typical young German Shepard energy. The opinion being he'd be a wonderful family dog. Zuri gets along well with the other dogs in the Prison Program. We do not know if he lived with children or cats. He has a great personality. He will enjoy an active lifestyle, hiking, running, playing. He is loving and will be a wonderful companion. He is just stunning with those blue eyes!
